  1. Possibly. Or he’s genuinely an agent of the 17th Shard, who also happens to be on good terms with the GB’s boss. Kelsier isn’t about to force Demoux into joining his organization and Demoux isn’t well suited to them. Odds are Demoux joined the 17th Shard long before the GBs were an ‘organization.’ Kelsier probably keeps in contact though and Demoux probably ends up giving over far more information than he realizes... Why use a double agent when you can get a REAL agent to give you everything?
  2. That would be... interesting... He doesn’t get on well with the Rosharan bunch and would not consider himself one of them. So making him part of their team would annoy him greatly. Fun! (No ‘Thaidakar’. You may not murder your teammates to ensure a Scadrian victory.)
  3. Uh... if I’m playing Thaidakar which side does he count as? Also, am I still allowed to do this since I actually won?
  4. Once they realized that there was another civilization they knew nothing about, was even more advanced, and completely outside their control. .... Why do I get the feeling the South isn’t Kelsier’s only secret hidden civilization on Scadrial...
  5. I agree that she couldn’t take anyone else. She couldn’t even let them know - it could start an inter-Radiant war. Which is how I would deal with this if I were Taravangian...
  6. Eryn shook her head. “If want. Soon we need leave; get spikes to Sovereign and find place to sleep.”
  7. Eryn tilted her head slightly. “Dead do not talk. Except Sovereign, but took work. Most just go.”
  8. @Ghanderflaffle It’s been 48 hours. Do we call the round?
  9. Eryn smiled fondly at the child. “Tineyes sharp. Will see more. Check for hidden places. Always another secret if look close.”
  10. Eryn shrugged. “Here to learn. Need do something while Basil recover. Maybe search office? See if something on Meens?”
  11. That would start a war between Radiants actually. The Windrunners would have to protect the civilians. Civil War is unlikely on Scadrial at this point in time because most of the planet is loyal to one person. You’d need to eliminate Kelsier before he can unite the planet. @Frustration There’s distance, and then there’s multiple lightyears.
  12. Eryn shrugged. “He still thief. Only steal bigger things.” She paused, thinking. “He think funny. Followers venerate him who is thief. But not like thieves. Sometimes rob them to see how react. Is amusing when see who stole.”
  13. Eryn nodded. “Sound reasonable. Do not understand North. Survivor was thief, ja? Surely thief just following him? Should be noble calling, ja?”
  14. Dalinar isn’t leaving because the Stormfather is a necessary part of Roshar’s ecology. Navani maybe could leave. No one is leaving quickly. It takes time to get an army together and Roshar just fought a war. The South knows how to fight wars as indicated by the fact that they appear to be fighting one. (Deniers of masks????) North Scadrial and South Scadrial are different things. Stop conflating them. Kelsier knows guerrilla tactics. He also knows where to find people who know these things. He can also put up giant speed bubbles giving him time to train small elite crews. Scadrial will not be fighting an all out war. They’ll be fighting a war of attrition from day one. The idea isn’t to win; it’s to make winning too costly for Roshar. And that is 100% something Kelsier can do because that is what he’s best at. Being an annoyance. You keep thinking in terms of battles. This isn’t going to come to that. If it does, Scadrial surrenders. No war. Straight up surrender. And then a bazillion little rebel groups keep causing havoc while the entire population obeys Rosharan laws as begrudgingly as possible. They’re survivors. That’s what they do. They survive. Roshar isn’t equipped for that. The Alethi? Surrender without a fight isn’t something they’d contemplate. But that’s what they’d get. Because Scadrial is going to survive and occupying an unhappy and unwilling nation isn’t easy. It’s a HUGE resource drain in multiple ways. And small teams move faster than large armies. Oh, and lightweavers have NOTHING on Kandra. Which Scadrial also has. This will NEVER be an open battle. Instead it’ll be thousands of tiny skirmishes and attackers that vanish as quickly as they attack. Roshar goes for the thrust; Scadrial kills with a thousand tiny cuts. It’s not about winning; it about surviving. And Scadrial is very, very good at that. To put this in RL terms: Kelsier will turn this war into Vietnam.
  15. Eryn laughed. “Every day when Sovereign involved! Get used to - work for him now.”
  16. Eryn smiled brightly at her. “Is why you are right for crew, ja?”
