You’re welcome! One more: the spirit who attacked Elend in the tent was Ruin pretending to be Preservation. Kelsier was watching this event. The spirit seen in the Well’s chamber was Preservation, but he was not the one who attacked Elend there.

They can soulcast objects into aluminum on Roshar. I think they may also be getting some from Scadrial.

The footprints were Hoid’s. Originally Hoid was looking for the Well, but this changed in SH. Originally the voice telling Saze about the rings was Kelsier’s. This did not end up working out. Kelsier, not Preservation, stabbed Elend. Hoid took one of the beads of Lerasium that were near the Well. The bead Elend swallowed was Lerasium. Making someone Mistborn is a side effect of burning it. If you read the epigraphs closely you’ll notice that they don’t match the text Sazed and Tindwyl quote throughout the book. Kwaan’s version of the prophesy does not always perfectly match Sazed. This may be because Ruin had already damaged it. Or it may be referring to the events of future books (Eras 3/4) that Brandon has planned. Part of the prophesy says “his name shall be Discord and they will love him for it.” This is seemingly foreshadowing for Era 3. The black smoke near the Well was Ruin’s version of Mist.

Kelsier smirked. “You’re just jealous because you don’t have one. At least David here can claim major antagonist status. You don’t even get deuteragonist - that’s Belgareth.”

The weird thing is that NoScads actually sound French!

No, assuming something we can’t discuss here would be equivalent to a Fullborn not having metalminds. Both start with ability, not manifestation. Either way, even assuming the Radiant knows about nuclear bombs, the Fullborn can still shatter the plate and leech the Radiant before anything can be successfully soulcast.

Leeching can work to damage the plate, in theory. Also, plate takes a few seconds to manifest. Both tapping and burning are as instantaneous as surges. A Fullborn could survive a nuclear explosion as long as they were constantly healing. Ditto for a Radiant. Also, plutonium on its own is not a bomb, just a radioactive material.

Which, again, requires the Radiant to act BEFORE the Fullborn leeches them. And we’ve seen no evidence that they can.

The problem is that Fullborn can move too fast for a Radiant to effect. That’s basically what it comes down to. Unless the Radiant can match the Fullborn’s speed the Radiant loses.

Kelsier shook his head. “You really don’t have CPR? It’s a mundane technique. When someone’s heart stops you press on the chest to simulate the heart beat, keeping the brain alive until medical help arrives. ”They also have AEDs. They hit the heart with electricity which can force it to start beating again. And they sometimes shoot adrenaline into the heart, which can start it up too. ”The person isn’t truly dead, of course,” Kelsier added, smiling. “The heart has stopped, but if you can keep the brain alive there’s a chance you can resuscitate them. My body died, but my mind survived, so they were able to bring me back. Still, even ‘mostly dying’ leaves an effect. The wands can sense that on me.”

Kelsier shrugged. “Not quite dead - I’m here, aren’t I? But I did die once and that leaves traces. I got better, obviously.” He frowned, eyes narrowing. “What? Wizards don’t know CPR?”

Considering how much the GBs are NOT working with Hoid, I really don’t see this happening. I mean, he just got Shallan to declare war on Kelsier. I doubt Saze can influence Kell through the Spike. I’d guess Kelsier has ways of preventing Sazed to know where he is. We know that they haven’t spoken for a bit as of SoS. If Saze wanted Wax to know the truth he could have just told him. He wouldn’t have had to utilize a method guaranteed to annoy Kelsier. I think Hoid did that of his own volition.

Kelsier lifted the wand, only to have it snatched away. “No, no,” Ollivander said cheerfully. “That won’t do. Here try ...” As Kelsier continued trying wands the old man glanced over at the twins. “He’s going to need a core with a Connection to the Veil. Perhaps a wood too.” He tapped his chin thoughtfully, then snatched away another wand. Kelsier didn’t bother lifting the next one. “It’s too alive,” he noted. “I can feel it resisting me.” Ollivander nodded. “Very good, very good. It’s the wood I’m testing. The length too; your friends wands are on the shorter side, but yours will be longer I suspect. Here,” he handed over another, “Fir and Phoenix feather, 16 1/2 inches.” ”Try sixteen exactly,” Kelsier suggested as he handed the wand back. “It has significance.” Ollivander nodded. “Interesting,” he said turning the wand over. “Fir. My grandfather called these ‘Survivors’ wands’.” Kelsier laughed. “Funny - that’s what people back home call me: the Survivor.” ”Do they?” Ollivander gazed thoughtfully at the blonde. “An odd name for a dead man.” Kelsier shrugged. “I’m here, aren’t I?” ”True.” The old man smiled slightly. “Very true. I’ll go get your wand now.” He put the fur wand down, then headed into the depths of the shop. ”Interesting man,” Kelsier noted. “I think I like him.”

Shallan's soul caster how did Jasnah not see

If you’re asking what I think you are, ask this on the RoW boards. I’m not sure we can discuss this question here. -

It’s possible Vin did get some of Kelsier’s memories (she seems to know what he’s been up to in SH) she just wasn’t focused on them. She was focused on other things so we don’t realize she got them. They weren’t all that important for what she needed to do. (And Brandon didn’t want to reveal Kell was explicitly alive there because it would have been distracting.) Ati didn’t seem to know what planet he was on at the end. It’s possible that the way Ruin overwrote his mind effected his ability to give over his memories. Still, Saze did get something - Adonalsium.

Something is Wrong with Odium's Forces

Dustbringer eyes are red too, but I don’t think they’re corrupted... And Lightweavers are magenta/red-violet, which is also nearly red. It doesn’t appear to indicate corruption there either.- 22 replies

The Person Below Me
Kingsdaughter613 replied to The Awakened Salad's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
I LOVE snow. And I force my husband to shovel it. (That’s what husbands are for, right?) TPBM has made snowmen and snow angels. -
Probably. Brandon has repeatedly said that they are very unlikely to end up working together. It’s not impossible, but it would take a very particular set of circumstances. They wouldn’t do so willingly. Also, Brandon specifically said that Hoid giving Wax the coin was something to be suspicious of since Kelsier and Hoid really do not get along. There were things on that coin that Kelsier did not want getting out.

Question from the most recent podcast (Full Cosmere spoilers)
Kingsdaughter613 replied to a topic in Cosmere Discussion
The branch alone, no. But if it was that likely that the GBs has access to enough tamukeks for them to communicate regularly (I’m assuming at least three: Mraize’s, Shallan’s and Thaidakar’s) then that branch suddenly becomes a lot more significant. Considering Brandon only decided on Seons because they’re actually alive, while Tamukeks are just bones (apparently), it means that the GBs could have had access to a decent number of those. And I doubt there are that many tamukeks floating around the Cosmere. -
Tournament: Cosmere Character Roast Battles
Kingsdaughter613 replied to Ashspren's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Should be noted that RoW spoilers are technically not allowed in this round... Great job! Kelsier just tilts his head and smirks, leaning back casually as he begins to respond. Smiling, Kelsier leans back as the gathered fans begin to cheer, numerous cries of **** Moash wafting through the air. @Ghanderflaffle We need you! It’s curtain time!- 2784 replies
