    Yesterday I finally ordered a hardcopy of The Coldest Girl in Coldtown because Holly Black is doing a signing in Salt Lake and that means I have to have something for her to sign! (Best way to get me to buy your book is to do a signing near me. Rarely fails.)

    Sunbird perks up. "Prof bookies? I'll have one of those!" She takes one from the plate and begins munching on it. "Maybe if I eat enough of these I'll turn into a badchull like Prof..." she mutters.

    Storms! Intricate detail like that is really time-consuming, am I right? I started working on a drawing of Mizzy yesterday. Got all the contours down and have started adding color to her skin. I'm kind of having to experiment with my colored pencils to get the shading right, since I've never drawn someone with darker skin before. But I'm super happy about how her expression turned out. Since she's so bubbly in the books I tried to give her a wide-eyed, smiling expression, and I think I succeeded.

    There are, however, still hardcopies of the old Scholastic editions circulating on the marketplaces on amazon.com and bn.com, if you really don't want to wait for the re-released ebooks.

    I've been wondering about this too. If the weaknesses and the fear connection came from Calamity, does that mean Epics will have no weaknesses now that Calamity is gone? If that is the case... uh-oh.

    That's awesome! I love Adolin's armor. I seriously suck at drawing clothes... That's why I stick to portraits. XD

    As CarolaDavar said, books 3 and 4 are being re-released in new illustrated editions this year. But if you don't want to wait for the new editions, you can usually find independent sellers on Amazon or Barnes and Noble who have the old editions.     I really like the Dresden Files. Some books are stronger than others (#2, Fool Moon, has been my least favorite of the currently published ones, and the latest, Skin Game, is my favorite), but they're awfully entertaining. Harry Dresden is such a smart-aleck that it's impossible not to laugh at some of his lines. And Jim Butcher throws some really mind-blowing plot twists at you.

    It's a good thing I've been alone while I've been reading this thread, because it's been making me laugh even more insanely than Alcatraz. Heir of the Void, you are a MAD GENIUS. Keep up the great work!

    As someone who also has a habit of making puns, I approve of your username. I agree! If you haven't checked out the gallery yet, give it a look! People have posted some pretty amazing stuff, and we'd love to see yours too!

    Welcome to the forums! You're in for a great experience, reading Brandon's books for the first time! They are all FANTASTIC. Not all of them are part of the Cosmere, but the ones that aren't are just as awesome as the ones that are, in my opinion. I especially love Alcatraz and the Reckoners.
