This is FABULOUS. His sass is so great. XD

Ok, so now I'm curious about the mechanics of getting recordings of Brandon answering questions at all his signings. Do you admins take turns going to signings that are in your respective localities to record, and if so, what do you do when he goes to like the UAE or somewhere way out of the way? Or is there a member of his publication/editorial team who is always at his signings whose job it is to record when there's not a Shard admin there to do it?

The coding looks like this:
Hamlet spoilers: everybody dies.
And will show up in a post like this:

If you would like to add a signature that will appear at the bottom of all your posts, click your username to get to your user profile. (Your username will appear at the top of any 17th Shard page.) After you come to the page called "My Profile," there will be a button that reads "Edit My Profile" near the top of the page. Click that. On the next page, there will be a list of buttons on the left side. One of the buttons is "Signature." Clicking this will bring up a box where you can type whatever you would like to appear at the end of all your forum posts. The easiest way to make the cursive writing (also known as Italics or italicized text) for your signature is to click the "I" button. Whatever you type after clicking that button will be in cursive until you click the button again. I hope my explanation was helpful! Also, welcome!

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)

Granted. However, all the self-cleaning objects in your house also gain intelligence and the power of speech, so you never have a quiet moment at home. I wish for ice superpowers a la Frozone from "The Incredibles" or Iceman from the X-Men comics. -
Thank you for reminding me that I needed to acquire this song. Every time I hear it now, I will think of Quicksilver in X-Men: Apocalypse. XD

SUSPICION CONFIRMED. Asked Dan about it at the double signing tonight and was told that they used to call Brandon's brother Jordan "Cecil Bagsworth" as a joke and then started using the name for their more ridiculous works.

Content of the new Stormlight Archive novella

Breaking news! Brandon did a reading from this at the B&N signing today. It is Lift and it is full of funny. -
Magestar is correct.

Ok, nobody's posted here in a few days, so I'll share something else that bugs me. I sort the library's mail about once a week, and I get irritated when we get shipments of books that are packaged in like ten layers of cardboard and 50 ft of tape. Do you not want me to be able to open your package? Srsly, stop wasting my time with Fort Knox in a box.

At the risk of reviving a dead topic, I thought any Utah Sharders would like to know that the King's English Bookstore in Salt Lake City still had like 10 or 12 copies of the pocket companion when I was in there on Thursday, June 9.

Finished Over Your Dead Body today. There were plenty of funny moments throughout the story, but the ending made me sad and very anxious for John Cleaver #6. About 60% done with The Geomancer, another of Clay and Susan Griffith's books that is basically a continuation of the story told in their Vampire Empire trilogy. I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Agreed! That's one movie that I like better than its book, and there are very few of those. (Interestingly, in all instances of this, I saw the movie first and then read the book.) I guess being JK Rowling is kind of like being Donald Trump... No matter what you say, someone will defend what you said. It took me a minute to figure out where "Baa raa mew" was familiar from, but I think I've put my finger on it--isn't that what the sheep say in the movie "Babe"? BAHAHAHA. The world needs more dancing walruses. (Er, walri?) Kaymyth is right. Just wait until you start Angel's self-titled spinoff, which launches at the end of Buffy season 3.

Granted. However, you are assigned a red uniform shirt. I wish that I could manipulate time so that I could get a full night's sleep in four hours. -
So, June is here. Any suggestions for when we should meet this month?

Went on a bit of a book-buying binge today since there was a sale at a nearby bookstore. (Well, I say "nearby," but it's an hour drive...) I am the proud new owner of Alcatraz vs the Scrivener's Bones (new illustrated hardcover), Alcatraz vs the Knights of Crystallia (new illustrated hardcover), The Trials of Apollo: The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan, and William Shakespeare's Star Wars: The Tragedy of the Sith's Revenge by Ian Doescher. Got them all at 40% off retail price!

My mom the pharmacist-in-training recommends Echinacea (an herbal supplement) to boost your immune system. I hope you feel better ASAP! Also, Buffy: Things Doctor Who and Buffy the Vampire Slayer have in common: cult followings, monsters, robots, and ridiculously high onscreen death tolls over the life of the show. And hilarious quotes, of course. Also, both shows have spinoffs, as well as "those episodes we pretend don't exist because they're so bad." There's not many of them, but they exist. Oh, and Anthony Stewart Head.

You look utterly badchull and fabulous, Kaymyth!!

I think I'd rather be an Inquisitor. Marsh at least managed to remain partly himself, but I don't think we've seen any evidence of such self-awareness by anyone possessed by a Voidspren. Plus Mistborn powers FTW! Would you rather be an Oculator or have a randomly assigned Smedry talent?

Finished Janitors. Highly entertaining. Next up: John Cleaver #5, Over Your Dead Body. Super excited for this one!!

I went and saw X-Men: Apocalypse yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. I'd heard some people saying it was weak, but I think it's one of my favorite X-Men movies to date. (Deadpool doesn't count since I haven't seen that.) And the POST-CREDITS BLURB.

The word "publicity" always makes me think of the scene from Phantom of the Opera titled "Notes." Specifically, these lyrics: *Altered from the original lyrics to avoid setting off the swear filter.

The Good News Thread: I'm So Excited! And I Just Can't Hide It!
Sunbird replied to traceria's topic in General Discussion
I see two of your song titles are in German! That reminds me of something that totally made my day this week. I was listening to my local classical radio station and they were playing something whose tune was immediately familiar to me, but it took me a few minutes to place it--it was an instrumental arrangement of "Die Forelle" that followed a theme and variations structure. Funny story: the first time I ever heard "Die Forelle" was when I watched Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and Moriarty has the gramophone playing it in the background as he tortures Holmes with the meat hook.
