  1. "Phantom of the Opera" soundtrack, the original Broadway cast recording. During the auction at the beginning, the shattered chandelier is lot 666.
  2. A Rithmatist. I like geometry and am confident I would be able to produce decent enough chalklings, so it seems like a good fit. If I were an Oculator, on the other hand, that'd probably be a problem since I need glasses to correct my awful eyesight. Would you rather be a Full Feruchemist or a Mistborn?
  3. Twi, baby piping plovers are perhaps even cuter:
  4. Argh, difficult choice! I think I would choose to have a Warbreaker sequel, given the epilogue to WoR... Whoops, didn't realize there was another page to this topic. Answering Landis's question now: I'd much rather drain into a bronzemind, since "sleepy" is kind of my natural state of being anyway. Would you rather have to choose one Sanderson book to be the only book you read for the rest of your life, or not be allowed to read ANY Sanderson books for the rest of your life?
  5. Welcome to the Shard! I hope you find it as much to your liking as I have in the few months since I've joined. (Which is to say, very much!) Also, you may find it helpful in catching Cosmere stuffs if you re-read Warbreaker before moving on to Words of Radiance.
  6. Beware of "cookies"--around here that's code for "hemalurgic spike!" Also, have an upvote because your username is awesome.
  7. Welcome! Have another upvote. Have you heard of the Cosmere? It is a large topic of discussion around here. (And I mean very large. Like TARDIS-style "bigger-on-the-inside" large.)
  8. Also, I am highly amused by your topic title.
  9. When someone makes 9 identical posts in the same Facebook group and you can't even see the picture because their privacy settings are making it say "attachment unavailable." *facepalm*
  10. This made me laugh so hard. I just saw someone refer to baby killdeer as "AT-ST walkers." Do you see the resemblance?
  11. I'm definitely not going to be able to come up with 10 unique works, but let's see how far I get with the potions... 1. Felix Felicis (Harry Potter) 2. Polyjuice Potion (ditto) 3. Draught of Living Death (ditto) 4. Veritaserum (ditto) 5. Wolfsbane (ditto) 6. Aging Potion (ditto) 7. Skele-Gro (does this count as a potion? I was never clear in the book whether it was something Madame Pomfrey brewed up or what...) 8. Voldemort's resurrection potion (the one at the end of Goblet of Fire--can't remember the official name of it) 9. Heart-fire (Uprooted by Naomi Novik) 10. Stone potion (ditto--this one isn't referred to as anything more specific in the book) Soooo... I came up with 10, but I'm not sure if I really succeeded. XD
  12. On recommendation from another Sharder, I read Claudia Gray's Star Wars tie-in novel, Lost Stars, today, and it was STORMING FANTASTIC. I really hope she writes a sequel at some point.
  13. Arrow (Yeah, I know, totally predictable.)
  14. Fun fact: Dan Wells said at a signing once that while doing research for his book "Ruins," he thinks he probably ended up on some sort of government watch list for Googling "How big is a nuclear weapon and how hard is it to hide" XD
  15. Oh, Kobold, I'm so sorry to hear that! *hugs* I hope she turns up safe soon.
  16. Hahahaha I remember that. CUE THE GRENADE LAUNCHER.
  17. I think I'd take the Forests. At least there a regular, non-Radiant person would stand a chance of surviving if they had the right knowledge. Would you rather be a high-ranking lackey for Steelheart in Newcago or take an unguided visit through the Library of Alexandria (as seen in Alcatraz)?
  18. Welcome, Rookie! Have your first upvote on the house. =) I see you already found the Creator's Corner subforum, which is where I was going to suggest you make your post about the Mistborn fan trailer. Unfortunately I know virtually nothing about video editing or filmmaking, so I think the only help I could really offer you on that front would have to do with sewing a mistcloak if you wanted to have one of your actors wear one. I think you'll probably find the Shard a very friendly corner of the Internet, and I hope you stick around to discover all the other awesomeness that goes on here besides getting input for your fan trailer.
  19. 1. Kale 2. Broccoli 3. Cauliflower 4. Carrot 5. Corn (aka maize outside of America, I'm told) 6. Celery 7. Peas 8. Cabbage 9. Lettuce 10. Onion 11. Beet 12. Rutabaga (nods to Alcatraz) 13. Rhubarb 14. Spinach 15. Yam (sweet potato, whatever) 16. Regular potato 17. Green beans 18. Bell pepper 19. Radish 20. Cucumber LOL, that was a little harder than I expected. WLIU name 10 British actors or actresses.
  20. Fall Out Boy
  21. Is it, by any chance, a nod to Diana Wynne Jones's "Tough Guide to Fantasyland," specifically the entry on STEW? STEW, according to "The Tough Guide to Fantasyland" @Mailliw: I have been meaning to watch that movie. I've heard good things.
