  1. Rockaria Explanation of my "vampire" post:
  2. I find this highly amusing. Were you in the video, or were you filming/managing instead of acting? Also, the voice of the first guy onscreen sounds really familiar to me for some reason...
  3. So my mom was just texting me some random trivia facts about the Divergent movies and she told me that Theo James's full name (the actor who plays Four) is Theodore Peter James Kinnaird Taptiklis. And my first thought was, "That's almost as good as Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore." (And no, I did not have to look that up.)
  4. Twi: the sad thing is that lots of girls actually need to be told what the girl says in the original meme.
  5. Argh, that's a difficult choice. I think it's probably a toss-up between David from the Reckoners because of his awkwardness, Prof because he's a badchull, and Alcatraz because of his sarcasm.
  6. Finished the Vampire Empire trilogy late last night and have started on Shades of Magic #2, A Gathering of Shadows.
  7. True dat. I remember seeing a post (from Tumblr maybe?) that said something along the lines of, "Here's a positive thought: no matter what you think of yourself, keep in mind that Captain Jack Harkness thinks you're hot."
  8. Oh storms... I just Google image searched "food with googly eyes" and I can't stop laughing!
  9. Wait if Vision is altering his density to be able to phase through objects, shouldn't his volume be increasing? Because he can't spontaneously decrease his mass. Can he??
  10. Different kinds of frogs say different things. Wood frogs actually do say "ribbit." Bullfrogs sound kind of like cows mooing IMO. (Maybe that's what you have in your neighborhood.) Spring peepers say "PEEP-er!" Green treefrogs say "tree-frog." (Why do I know this? I started learning birdcalls several years ago and the frogs kind of just snowballed along with it.)
  11. Read the first two books in the Vampire Empire series today: The Greyfriar and The Rift Walker. I saw the reveal about the Greyfriar coming pretty early on in the first book, but that didn't make it any less awesome. The betrayals in book 2 surprised me much more. Diving into the 3rd and final book tomorrow--The Kingmakers. (Though apparently there is a sequel/spinoff series set in this 'verse as well.) Thanks, Elodin, for alerting me to the "Hide" button to fix my accidental double-post.
  12. I'm not completely sure about this. I seem to remember hearing that Sony and Disney were sort of sharing the rights so that Spider-Man gets to be part of the MCU but Sony gets to make Spider-Man solo movies...?
  13. Better than the times I have endured bomb threats at school--most of the time we were ushered outside to the bleachers/football field as quickly as possible and not allowed to grab anything and then forced to sit for several hours (in either blazing heat or frigid cold) with nothing to do. One time my brother (who was not old enough to be home alone at the time) got sent home in the middle of the day because of a bomb threat--without our parents being notified and without his coat or lunch. My parents were soooo mad at the school officials that day.
  14. Welcome! Have another upvote. And as Bugsy said, don't accept the cookies. They're actually Hemalurgic spikes. I think you'll find that this is a very friendly and happy corner of the Internet, and I look forward to seeing you around!
  15. Holy canola The story behind this:
  16. Ah, ok. I guess I sort of considered him a character that was kind of on his own rather than being associated with any particular super-team.
  17. I'm interested in participating. We get to choose what books to review, though, right, so long as they fall under the scifi/fantasy umbrella? Also, I have lots of reviews already written on GoodReads. Would it be frowned upon for me to post my old reviews of SFF books in lieu of writing new ones every time my turn comes around?
