I posit the existence of the as-yet-unnamed Cognitve Realm Bond in this bond post. We see a cognitive/emotion bond in Mistborn (Vin and Koloss), Warbreaker (Nightblood), YNP (Nightmares), etc. There are many posts in that thread on the subject, the linked one is just the most organized and cited. The True Spren (Radiant Spren) may have been Splinters (combined Honor and Cultivation), but they Identified as being "of Honor and Cultivation." They still felt they were parts of Honor. In stories you have not yet read (Elantris, Warbreaker and Yumi), you will encounter other kinds of Splinters. But, I think that if the Spren had not self-identified as being "of Honor" (at least partly) then Retribution would not have been able to grab them back. I also think the honorblades are the foreshadowing of that point - they have some sentience, but almost no sapience and are fully-separated Splinters - which is why Retribution did not, and possibly could not have, reclaimed them (Connection would also be a factor). I feel like, if there were a character archetype for this idea, it would be a Trust Fund Baby - making sure they never have to actually work a day in their lives/stretch the trust fund through compound interest and you can live your hobbies as long as you have Cadmium.

Unlikely, since Honor tied the Surges to Oaths and TrueSpren bonds specifically to limit thier application and prevent another Ashyn. But Roshar's ecology is tied to the Spren and there are likely to be many "hacks" that Singers could teach humans about how to use Rhythms and Light with environmental Spren to encourge certain effects.

Vin, presumably, either coughed up the lead, like she did the first time she swallowed those beads for the attack on Keep Hasting, or burned them away with Aluminum. Metal poisoning is a very slow process. That said, it should no longer be a factor. This was eventually altered a bit. Unreliable narrator is always in play and people in-story can (and often are) wrong. WoB: What we do not know is if this was a change that was part of Sazed restoring Nobles and Skaa to the normal Scadrian human template and undoing Rashek's chenges. So, it is possible that Metal poisoning was a factor in the Final Empire, but not after the Catacendre. Here's the chain of WoBs that led to the tweak (I do not say RetCon because we have no evidence this changes anything in Era 1). Hope that helps

Nope, that's not quite what is happening, and we are not expected to think it is. WoB: It's another "level" of the translation and is similar to real life languages. Translating a Korean page - I might say "speak of the devil" (which is an English language proverb) - but the Korean might actually say 호랑이도 제 말하면 온다 (Literal translation - If you even say "tiger," he will appear) which is the same meaning and the proverbs are used in the same way, but a literal translation would just confuse some people. Keep in mind that not every bead in every Rosharan Shadesmar Ocean has to be a discrete object currently in the physical realm. Mistborn: Secret History Spoilers: So, that sack covered in 150yrs of Crem - that's a bead. The spare Spanreed nibs the ardent dropped crossing the Chasms - those are each a Bead. Etc. More importantly, the number and depth of the bead ocean is not defined by the number of physical objects around - it is defined by the Cognitive identity of Roshar and that continental location. That's why Physical realm rivers and oceans in Shadesmar congeal into an obsidian-like substrate - the less "thought" in and about a location in the Physical Realm contracts the space in Shadesmar (which is what makes worldhopping possible) - and the inverse is true. A densly populated area like Kholinar will be deeper and with more beads than a sparesly populated are like the farmland outside Hearthstone. It's not a discreet 1:1 relationship; it's a complex interpretation of Identity on multiple levels (example in OB was a bead for all of the Kholinar castle, plus a bead for each room with a strong enough self-identity, plus a bead for each object in each of those rooms). To that end, Please see Cosmere Reading Order Discussion I will caveat that with Warbreaker is free online for a no-money way to see if you like Sanderson's writing style. Also, There are many non-Cosmere works you can try that require less investment; such as Legion, Reckoners, and Cytoverse (or even some of the Solo Stories like Perfect State or Rithmatist).
