  1. You should be able to figure it out. It's relevant.
  2. That is not related to September 1st.
  3. Um. Theoretically we could release it anytime, but I prefer to do so after September 1st.
  4. Amaram wasn't in the old version, and Merin (the character who later became Kaladin) accepted the Shardblade at the beginning of the book. Dalinar was there when Merin defeated the Shardbearer, and of course Dalinar wouldn't act like Amaram did.
  5. I've subscribed to the magazines (Asimov's, Analog, F&SF) in years past but not recently. My taste just doesn't align with the editors often enough. It is also very common for multiple stories in an issue to have sexual content. Tor.com and Clarkesworld both have often high-quality stories online for free—but again, often sexual content. You have to be willing to stop reading a story if you want to avoid it, nowadays.
  6. Are you still here at the signing? I just arrived and am wandering around in my Szeth shirt.
  7. Those were written by Tor, so I doubt they are in the Orion version.
  8. Rock pronounces Kaladin's name like that too.
  9. I don't actually know, but I assumed what vegasdev says.
  10. There's no way that Way of Kings Prime can be released for many years. It has aspects that won't make it into the series for many books yet. There might be a few small parts we can release sooner, as we did for the Jeksonsonvallano introduction, but there are not many of those.
  11. Mmmmmmm I think I was just talking about Dalinar/Sadeas and what did end up happening. I think I knew about that by that date. But it's also possible I was talking about the end of Way of Kings Prime, which was vastly different and what I would have been talking about involved different characters (though they are ones you have seen),
  12. Chaos says not to talk about that, in the other thread this was posted in. Unfortunately, I really need to shut this topic down. We just have a policy of no spoilers from unpublished works. I would not want to spoil anyone reading the book. However, he did confirm a while ago that the Letter's recipient was on Yolen, so I'd say this isn't new knowledge Thanks for the information at the signing though! Feel free, if there was more info from the signing, to make a topic in Signings about it. I just really don't want anyone talking about unpublished stuff. Sorry guys for closing it...
  13. The discussion questions were written by the editor and are seen as a selling point for teachers/librarians.
  14. Sigh. So, I checked, and the diagram for chapter 18 didn't get fixed either.
  15. What was the turnout?
  16. I did fix that monopolize error. I need to check the hardcover tomorrow to see if it got fixed. It's possible some fixes didn't get into the ebook. Which ebook platform are you on?
  17. Yikes. Only 40 people? Do you know how many books they had?
  18. Kurkistan is right that some people flag this as an error, but I don't think it's worth changing. The "board" report is really annoying though and we'll have to get that fixed in future printings.
  19. It's not deliberate. Brandon hasn't watched SG-1, though I keep telling him it's great.
  20. Yeah. That was awesome. Though more awesome in theory than in practice. Still, I'd like to see it get resurrected.
  21. Brendan, it's been released in the US and the UK by the same publisher, Orbit. So if it's not in Australia already, I'm surprised.
  22. The origin of the Shattered Plains in Dragonsteel is completely different.
  23. I loved the cook.
