  1. Odium. He is a nice chap unless you end up being in his way. I doubt he would find me a worthy obstacle. Plus, if I wound up in a pinch, I could sell out Hoid. Take up the Shard of Ruin or the Shard of Odium?
  2. Bloodsealer. I really don't want to be sacrificed to enable fast travel for a lazy priest. Would you rather eat a chouta with Kaladin or a five-course meal with Amaram? Also, first General Brandon Discussion post of 2018! Yes, I know I'm silly.
  3. The best line in the entire movie. Hux is one of my favorite SW villains after TLJ.
  4. She wasn't really a main character in WoK. Jakamav was a bigger character than she was in that one.
  5. I'll just listen, I guess.
  6. R.I.P Eshonai. Brandon promised us he would chill with the resurrections.
  7. I like the fact that he killed off Eshonai. Everyone thought she would be alive, and as such the twist was great. And people did need to die. WoK and WoR doesn't feature any main character death, except for Sadeas, who is a villain (Jasnah and Szeth doesn't count). Killing Eshonai was a good way to get the "no one is safe" thing going. In addition, Eshonai wasn't very interesting. She was a good person at the start of WoR, and she stayed a good person. She just wants to explore and discover, but has to be a general instead. That was basically her character. Her decision to take up Stormform was a huge mistake on her part, and her good intentions basically wound up enslaving her people. The fact that she is so innocent, and is in a position of huge responsibility, which she didn't really want, makes her failure and death very tragic. Surviving and saving her people would have made her a pretty predictable hero, with a predictable redemption arc, and it would also remove the sense of tragedy. Killing her off makes her a deeply tragic character instead, which is much more interesting, and, for me, much more fulfilling. This also allows Brandon to build up Venli and make her a better character. Short answer: killing Eshonai was totally the right move.
  8. Pattern is hilarious, and one of my favorite SA characters. NO MATING is fantastic. Wyndle is cool as well, and I like how he interacts with Lift. The comparision between him and C-3PO was spot on. Syl is good at times. At times she is just immature and self-absorbed. I have a hard time liking her at times, because she seems a bit full of herself.
  9. I think he wants to forget his past, but is unable to do so, because it haunts him so much.
  10. Personally, I'd love to see Thrawn in the Cosmere. I would love to see him face anyone in a battle, and most likely crush them. I don't think we have seen any character yet who can match him in battle tactics.
  11. Move on, nothing to see.
  12. Nice! I happen to be a guy, all jokes aside, so I have the same gender as the toaster.
  13. He just has one vote, actually. Probably someone who finds him interesting, or is interested by the villain role he seems to be set up for. Or just someone who really don´t like Elhokar :-P
  14. @Clovermite Hah, nice with siblings on the Shard (and welcome by the way)! Tell First of Daybreak I said hi. As for the Autonomy vs Ambition things, I agree. I could see it both ways, until today.
  15. @The Sovereign @StormingTexan is correct. That is it.
  16. @Clovermite I am in total agreement with you about that it points to Autonomy. I am protesting it because of this theory from @Oversleep, which I just now discovered had been debunked (btw Oversleep, if you read this, is the Autonomy = second letter WoB up yet?). I'll paste the theory here anyway, in case you find it interesting. But since the theory below is wrong, I am in complete agreement with Autonomy = Patji. Thanks for making me check my facts!
  17. Brandon likes to do stuff like that at times. There was one at the OB release recently that blew the collective minds of all the greatest theorists on the Shard.
  18. There are WoBs that strongly hints at it, but it doesn't outright confirm anything.
  19. This is all correct, but it is about how you define "like" in this thread. I think Jasnah is a very well-written and complex character. At the same time, I am not very fond of her as a person.
  20. Toaster is filed under...?
  21. Rock. Rock is the best. He is funny, kind, a hidden badass and a chef. At this point he has the potential to be a mix of Mihali from Powder Mage and Legolas, which is cool. He never feels "too much" like some other characters (Lopen). And his OB chapter was so beautiful. He also fed Sadeas chull dung, and saved Kaladin from Amaram. Also, Numuhukumakiaki'aialunamor is a great name to pull out in front of non-fantasy readers to amaze them (yes, I did that, and it is very fun). If I could vote for a second one, it would be Skar.
  22. I'm just amazed that this thread is 66 pages long. The wordcount from here will soon equal that of Oathbringer. Keep it up, and tag me when you are celebrating a 100 pages!
  23. Odium is probably afraid of being eaten, just like any sane person.
