Most Despicable Characters
Toaster Retribution replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Parlin. R.I.P -
Welcome! There is an entire section dedicated to Warbreaker, although be careful if you havent completed the book: it is filled to the brim with spoilers! But you can definitely find some Awakening-nerds around here to talk too!

Welcome! Hope you have a good time here!

Wasnt there something similar with those flamespren in the Interlude with the Gordon Ramsay-ardent? They got measured and stayed in the same shape afterwards. I dont exactly remember, and the magic and spren isnt my strong suit (although I am trying to get into it a bit more).

Most Despicable Characters
Toaster Retribution replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I can give you the Tonk Fah one, though he gives me the creeps. Also, I wouldnt rank Amaram among the douchiest people, since he appears to do what he think is best for everyone. Others (Straff, Sadeas, KanPaar...) are doing just as despicable things for themselves only. I have another one btw: Tresting. He has very little screen-time, but he was a piece of chull dung for the short time we saw him. -
Brandon has a lot of villains and douchebags in his books, but who do you think is the worst of the worst? Cosmere, Reckoners, Rithmatist, all goes! Personally, I would like to go either Straff or Tonk Fah.

Entertainment Reviews(and Debate)
Toaster Retribution replied to Modal Seoul's topic in Entertainment Discussion
A thread for venting your feelings? Great, then I´ll talk about how horribly D&D butchered the character of Stannis Baratheon on Game of Thrones. Spoilers for all the asoiaf books, and all the GoT seasons: -
Which Character Are You?
Toaster Retribution replied to Tristan's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Elend. I like reading, I like irritating people, I'm kind of funny, and I would make a horrible king. Oh, and my hair is a mess too. -
Warbreaker movie casting (dream list) *spoilers*
Toaster Retribution replied to BreathTaker's topic in Warbreaker
Everyone has the right of opinion. You have every right to have yours but there is no need to tell everyone how much better yours are, or that others do wrong. Fancasting is about how you imagine the characters. If you read about them and imagine latinos, then cast latinos. If you imagine white people, then you can cast white people. You have some good choices (I really like Demian Bichir as Treledees), but there is no need to go around telling people what they should, and should not do.- 99 replies

Cultivation's captivation to Odium
Toaster Retribution replied to Sam Script's topic in Stormlight Archive
Well, this might be a reference to her locking Odium up. Doesn't mean they fought together against him. Also, the comment was more of a joke anyway :-) -
Numuhukumakiaki'aialunamor. Kaladin, Bavadin, Kelsier, Edgard, Hoid, Axies, Elhokar, Zahel and Shallan are great too.

What are your Cosmere names?
Toaster Retribution replied to Borio Singaldi's topic in General Brandon Discussion
-Trapper: First of the Afternoon -Vorin: Alexelin (that works, right?) Anyway, its based on my real name. -Unkalaki: Muludunuokabeka'tundaradundeki -Shin: Alexander-son-Mats -Aonic: Enelex Again, based on my real name, with the Aon for wit in it. Dunno how witty I am, but at least I wish I was. -Returned: Hairmess the Irritating My hair is messy, and I like to irritate people. -Threnodite: Toaster Retribution Sounds dumb and cool at the same time. -Kandra: VinKell (anyone gets the reference?) -
Cultivation's captivation to Odium
Toaster Retribution replied to Sam Script's topic in Stormlight Archive
I know the discussion is a year old, but whatever. Maybe Honor & Cultivation didnt tag team because Honor didnt want to. Two vs one is not exactly honorable -
Effective ways to imprison a Shardbearer
Toaster Retribution replied to Alfa's topic in Stormlight Archive
You wont really need a vulcano. Just get a shovel, keep digging, and you will probably reach some lava eventually (I think?) Or you just worldhop to Ashyn and do it there. -
Female Shardbearers
Toaster Retribution replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Stormlight Archive
That is true. I guess I forgot her for some reason. Oh, and @Calderis mentioned Liss too. While I forgot her as well, we dont really know wether she is a full Shardbearer, or only owns the Blade (my bet would be only the blade). -
So, I know that we already have female Radiants (Shallan, Jasnah, Lift) but do you guys think we will get a female Shardbearer, without Surges?

Effective ways to imprison a Shardbearer
Toaster Retribution replied to Alfa's topic in Stormlight Archive
Place the Shardbearer in a cage ocer lava. If he cuts himself out, he will only accomplish a great Gollum impression. -
Awesome news! I look forward to following the progress bar on Apocalypse Guard now. And of course to november (the last two months of the year will be awesome: Oathbringer, Thor 3, Last Jedi and Battlefront).

How do you feel about Daisy Ridley as Rey
Toaster Retribution replied to Dragon Reborn's topic in Entertainment Discussion
She is good. I vastly prefer Rey over OT Luke. Mark Hamill seems like a great guy, and it isnt his fault, but Luke is a pretty boring character. -
Currently reading Last Argument of Kings. I love the humor and the three main characters. Will read The Heroes and Best Served Cold sometime as well. Dunno about Red Country though.

Movie Adaption of the Way of Kings
Toaster Retribution replied to Nashan’Elin's topic in Stormlight Archive
Tor had Rose Leslie (Ygritte in GoT) as Shallan, which I think is pretty good. And as for Lucas Till, he apparently portrays Havok in the three newest X-Men movies. I havent seen them, but I reckon a lot of people have, so getting an opinion of him is probably rather easy. He is in Monster Trucks too :-) Look that one up folks, its wierd. On another casting related note, if they for some reason decide to include Axies, wouldnt Paul Bettany be nice for him? -
Her hate for Amaram might come from something other than the Sons of Honor. Something he did to her maybe? Or she knew that Amaram was part of the SoH but had no idea that Gavilar was involved. That is also a possibility.

No one has said warform for a while, so I'm just going to say it so that no one forget. Warform.

The hero of ages made me love Mistborn
Toaster Retribution replied to Xero stormz's topic in Mistborn
Nice! Myself, I loved the first one the most (Kelsier is so awesome) but the ending is truly awesome in HoA, and all three are great books.- 1 reply

It is fully possible that Amaram was a cherished friend of her, and then something happened. That would explain her dislike of him, and him being so uncomfortable around her. And Jasnah feels like a person who would recognize the skills/good attempts of someone she doesnt like as well. Besides, who else could her friend be?
