  1. Fair enough. I heavily disagree on comparing him to Amaram though, but I won't derail the topic with that :-) The longer Brandon keeps him hidden, the more sure we can be about something being off about him. Since we have seen Yms spren, we can directly tell if Glys is different. My bet would be that Glys is an original Truthwatcherspren, somehow corrupted by Odium. It is also suspicious that we have three Truthwatchers in such a short time. The other orders are either much slower than the Truthwatchers, or Glys wasn't sent out like Pattern or Wyndle. This makes a whole ton of sense. I am not hundred percent onboard yet, but it is great. If Glys appears normal when we see him, this will immediately be my go-to theory. Upvote!
  2. When did we blame bad weather on Ishar? That one is entirely on the Stormfather and singing Parshendi. But Ishar will have to suit himself. He shouldn't be so mysterious.
  3. Mistweaver, Mistwatcher, Mistbringer...
  4. Heralds are wierd though. We have a WoB on them being Cognitive Shadows. We don't know the extent of Mraizes knowledge on Tezim, but it sounds like they haven't seen eachother in person. It is possible that he has just heard wierd stuff about Tezim, that implies that he is more than a human. We also know that Heralds most likely have other powers beside their Honorblades, and that is another thing that might have tipped Mraize off. In short, he is most likely judging based on rumors speaking about Tezims wierd abilities, which comes from him being a Herald.
  5. Obligatory joke: Hatham is Odium Reborn. Joking aside, good find. I don't think he has something to do with Odium though. After all, there are just that many colors you can mix. Hathams colors are probably quite old as well. I guess his family has existed for a while. So if there is some connection between him and Rayse, it would have to have been established long ago. I think Hatham is a normal, opportunistic Highprince.
  6. I'll be here and cheer you on.
  7. Straff Venture says hello. As for the discussion on Truthwatchers and seeing the future. It is possible that seeing the future is the Truthwatchers Resonance. The Resonance is pretty much an extra power that comes when you already have two powers. Kaladin has stronger squires, and it is speculated that Shallans Memory is her Resonance. Each Order has one. I don't think Renarin will be voluntarily evil. I think that he could be morally grey, but I don't think he will be evil, at least not of his own will. Renarin being controlled by Odium is a possibility though. I think that he is (not voluntarily) creating a connection to Odium, and this will allow Rayse to control him to some extent. I am also suspicious of Glys. Is he really a Truthwatcherspren? I suspect that there is a reason for why Renarin hasn't had a POV yet, despite being a flashback character in the back five. There would probably be far too many clues about him if we saw stuff from his POV.
  8. I think there is one at Coppermind.
  9. I would guess that the Stormfather had some kind of connection to Honor before he died. A popular theory is that Honors perpendiculary is inside the Highstorm. If that is correct (which it most likely is), then I'd guess that Honor had to hijack/bond/connect to the Stormfather in order for it to happen. Something similar could be the case with Cultivation. She connected with the Nightwatcher while forming her perpendiculary. Even if I'm wrong about the perpendicularity thing, I still think it is pretty clear that Honor had some kind of bond to the Stormfather before he was splintered. The same is probably the case for Cultivation and Nightwatcher too. The only difference would be that the Nightwatcher is a spren only, and not a merge between a spren and a cognitive shadow like Stormdaddy. But we do know (I think?) that Stormfather predates the arrival of Honor and Cultivation. It would be logical to assume that Nightwatcher did so too, and in that case, yes, the Nightwatcher might be created by Adonalsium. So, in conclusion, I think that the Nightwatcher is created by something other than Cultivation (Adonalsium for example) but now has some sort of connection to Cultivation.
  10. I'm pretty sure that it is a general assumption that the Joker is Hoids symbol. Him being the eventual zero is a good guess. Great job guys!
  11. The Radiant doing this would transform into a Mistbinder :-D
  12. Has he never described Renarin before? I thought we already knew that he was thin with spectacles?
  13. Renarin is wierd. Who knows how his psyche works?
  14. Its bigger than all of them.
  15. I think you misunderstood my post: Renarin wants to kill someone allied to the Kholins in order to cast suspicion off Adolin. Anyone who knows Adolin would know that he wouldn't murder his fathers allies. What Renarin can't foresee is that Adolin will be tasked with the investigation and break under the stress. The guilt and love for his brother would make Renarin jump in for him when he is found out. Renarins plan has never been to cast blame onto himself though.
  16. Okay, my thoughts about potential murder suspects: -Adolin: No way. He is no murderer. He is already troubled by Sadeas death. Killing Mr. Copycorpse would be out of character for Adolin. It would undermine his father, put his family at risk and distract them from the issues of a Desolation. And Adolin only kills people when he has too. -Renarin: If Renarin knows of his brothers action, then this might be done by him. He might want to do it to save his brother, which will probably end up breaking Adolin instead. This might in turn lead to Renarin taking the blame for Adolin, and being punished. Discovering that both his sons are murderers would also have a profound effect on Dalinar, and would affect the Kholins reputation in a very serious way. That said, is Renarin well-trained enough to take Mr. Copycorpse down in one-on-one combat? -Ghostbloods: I can easily see Mraize doing this for some sinister purpose. I doubt that they wish to blackmail Shallan however. Mraize seemed to be confident about the fact that he would be able to persuade her to join them by giving her information and her brothers. I don't think he would assassinate someone randomly until there was a real need for it, which there isn't yet. If the Ghostbloods did kill Mr. Copycorpse, they most likely did it to bring down the Kholins. We don't know their goal, but it wouldn't surprise me if they aren't too pleased by the leadership in Urithiru. Few Secret Societies seem to like Dalinar as the head of the KR, after all, and we already know that the Ghostbloods has a serious beef with Jasnah. -Ialai: I doubt it. First off, she would have to use a henchman, since I doubt she would be capable of taking Mr. Copycorpse by herself. Murdering someone is also pretty drastic, and I doubt she would be prepared to do so just yet, especially considering that it won't necessarily grant results. She doesn't know who Sadeas murderer is, and so she can't know what effect a copycat kill would have on him. Still, she is a possible candidate.
  17. It really depends on how you view the Oaths. He is basically doing the same stuff as Taravangian, but with a worse reason for it. Still, he believes in his cause, and that the sacrifices he makes are necessary. There are people who could never be Radiants (Straff Venture for example) but I think that so long as they believe that they are doing something that is ultimately right, they can be Radiants.
  18. It sounds Resonance-y to me, especially since Dalinar was unaware of what he did. Surges seems like the stuff you do on purpose, while the side-effects (resonance, healing, looking cool) are unintentional.
  19. And all the Prelans shall bow to me!
  20. Wouldn't this mean a lot more spren? It could also result in the spren at Urithiru changing forms between their Physical and Cognitive versions all the time.
  21. I understand that. I was mostly just teasing Steeldancer a bit since he is known for his Oathbringerthreadposting-speed.
  22. Oh yeah, I hope Aesudan is still alive. She is wierd, and I want to see what is up with her.
