I had this feeling that it was familiar...

No. I specifically compare the instance of worldhopper (Hoid) going through the Perpendicularity and instance of Fallen Elantrians dissolving. These two instances are not the same.

Sooo... I tried to find some nice pictures of Cosmere-equivalents of banhammers... And was terrified to find there were none! No solid blocks of black steel on a long handle Awakened to "Destroy spoilers". No glowing Shardhammers of the Knights Admin. No stylized Aon Reo or Aon Kii. Is somebody interested in creating such things? I can pay in upvotes and gratitude.

Reminder: " Aon Mea references the expanded region within which the "Elantris Effect" will create Elantrians." What would have happened if somebody went to that "fertile valley with a high density of life and cognitive activity" marked by X in Aon Mea and killed and burned everything?

Fallen Elantrians put into the Shardpool are described as "dissolving". Several times. However, when Hoid uses Pools to transit between Realms, he just dissappears. In Elantris, his scene with skaze, he is not described as dissolving. Secondly, why would Galladon's father choose the heart sickness to kill him if he could just go into the Pool to pass away? Furthermore, the famous mural is "depicting worldhopping" (source). Not funeral ceremony. It seems the pre-Reod Elantrians did not use it for suicide but for transit into Cognitive Realm. The question is: why are fallen Elantrians dissolving instead of transiting into Cognitive Realm?

I know; though I back when I watched Avatar it was with Polish dubbing (it was... about six years ago so my English skill wasn't good enough) and now I'm rewatching in English. So I haven't heard him yet

Shame there is no recording... right?

I've seen the entry for Zootopia, but I haven't watched it yet. Although HBO aired it this week so it waits patiently in the recorder...

Discovering the voice actors will never cease to amaze me. Few years ago it was Luke Skywalker = Joker (yeah, I know it's common knowledge). Today it's Fletcher (Whiplash) = Tenzin (from Legend of Korra) (!) = Ford Pines (GF) (!!!!) Truth be told, I found out only about J.K. Simmons being Tenzin and I went to check what's the name of his character in Whiplash... and then my mind was blown again with relevation of Ford Pines.

It seems we keep going back to the Feruchemical steel / Feruchemical zinc issue. I think that the description "mental speed" is misleading. It's about letting you make intuitive laps, connecting the dots, drawing conclusions - it basically turns you into Sherlock Holmes (I feel like I've seen this explanation dozen times). However, physical speed does not only speed up your movements - it will also improve reaction time, reflexes and so on. You can totally overtap steel and enter bullet time, turning the world into your personal speedbubble.

Are spikes keyed to the one who bears them? I mean, when Wax asks whether kandra couldn't give ReLuur one of the old Inquisitor spikes to make him sane again, VenDell replies that each spike they use is specifically created for them. In AoL, Wax remarks that once somebody started Compounding (tapping non-stop) it would be dangerous to stop. Why?

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...

I've recently announced I will be enforcing a strict no-spoiler policy for Secret History on the Polish FB group (as it will be released in January in the Arcanum Unbounded). Now I'm looking at lengthy discussion how they miss Kelsier... The Polish fandom is pretty fresh and there are lots of people just starting to read cosmere. This is hard. (And then there are some people who think that Sovereign is Rashek and nobody can use SH argument. This is also hard.) Although it will be funny to watch heads explode in January... -
"They said he walked straight out of the waves of the Northern Sea and that he was born from their freezing, raging vastness and that he was brought forth by a drowner impregnated by the sea."

I meant that while shooting Guests is by definition non-lethal, how attacking with a knife in close quarters can be considered non-lethal?
-
I'm pretty sure that one of the Hosts went with a knife while fighting Man In Black (when he shot Lawrence's cousins).

As for the video game mechanics: I liked very much the scenes in episode 2, I think, when they arrive and the experienced guy is all "he's trying to get you in treasure hunt plotline" and so on Although I don't understand something: Back at the beginning it was said that Hosts can't hurt living beings... but they sure attempt to by shooting even if Guests are invulnerable. Or recently there was a scene with Hosts punching the Guest. Could somebody explain?

So... we're five episodes in and nobody has made a thread? Don't tell me I'm the only one watching \W/! Something awesome: Here's a playlist of the official five tracks from OST, including "Paint It, Black":

When will the new Leatherbound come out??
Oversleep replied to Radiant Returned's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Eh. I can live with that, I suppose. But this... any chances for these to be put up on the website? -
And it doesn't matter. Nothing does

Keep cookies in the Introduction forum, please EDIT: @Secrets, that's no rule but if we do it everywhere it will clog up the forum. Outside introductory threads it's usually not relevant to the topic and becomes pretty much spam EDIT2: @Secrets Well, those are 'welcome cookies' and offering them is a welcoming tradition. We welcome new users in their threads in "Introduce yourself" forum.

I second that: is it possible to move the charge between separate metalminds without any power loss? -
It could be about benevolent rule and care. The Shard by itself is just about ruling. Now, how the Shardholder interprets the Intent, however... Imagine Dalinar Ascending to Dominion. Now, imagine Straff Ascending to Dominion.
