  1. Halfway through it. Have you though how are you gonna play it? Homicidial maniac/pacifist, visible/ghosting, powers/no powers etc? I like that game, especially the fact how the world tells a story itself: you can read through variosu books and notes everywhere, look at the graffiti, eavesdrop on people talking (I once listened to a guard explaining poker to another guard) and so on. It's fun. I'd say to not stick to any of the proposed runs on the first run and play it just like you feel. If you want to spare somebody - do it. If you feel somebody should die, kill them. Remember to use the Heart, it's not just a radar.
  2. I hope you remembered to take your anti-allergic medicine? It should help a little. And what Kaymyth said, improvise something to breath through. I have a light, irritating cough since few days ago. I suspect some plant is polling because it is different from "you're-sick-cough". I think. Maybe I am sick? I don't feel sick.
  3. We believe that only a somebody's else Plate interferes with Investiture. So when a Radiant in his own Plate Lashes himself, there is no problem, as the Plate is presumably a part of him just like the living Blade is. Since Szeth would be wearing someone's Plate (as all modern Plate is the Plate of the Radiants who discarded it on Recreance), it would interfere with his own powers. When Kaladin will manifest his own Plate, he'll have no problem to Lash it.
  4. It wouldn't reaccumulate, because Nightblood reduces the amount of usable Investiture in the cosmere. I imagine there's a cycle of Investiture in cosmere (that would explain how power used up in magic gets back to the Shard) but Nightblood is one thing that breaks that cycle by destroying Investiture (corrupting it or whatever, as energy cannot be destroyed).
  5. Impossible. There is no spoon. You seem to think being a weirdo and wearing a spoon in your hair is somehow making you... unattractive?. It makes you interesting. That was Chapter 7: How To Test Human Reactions To Unusual Situations. I hope.
  6. ... Was he writing a Guide to Being Creepy or something?
  7. On one hand, I wanted to remind everyone that people who are into kinky stuff are still people. People who may have attraction toward non-common things, but it's not defining them or their lives (or at least it shouldn't). On the other hand, if you knew that fact before the start of relationship, then something weird is going on. On related note, I wish the Fifty Shades of Gray never existed. Ever. If somebody wants to read something on the topic which is good, funny very funny, romantic, beatifully drawn (and at no point it's porn. None. It is NSFW from time to time, but it is never porn), providing insight but not forcing any view, at times heartbreaking and soul-wretching (cliffhangers!), done tastefully... the list goes on, but feel free to PM me for link. Oh, and it's free. In fact, if that comic were about something else than romance (and... stuff), I'd already be preaching it around as the best thing I have seen in comics ever.
  8. I think it may be relevant:
  9. This is my post of number two thousand and two! And I only registered about 9,5 months ago.
  10. Aaah, the ancient question of "why boys approach girls" Remember the rule about wild animals? He's probably more scared than you are.
  11. Nightblood doesn't run on Breaths, strictly - it runs on Investiture. It just happens that the only Investiture on Nalthis is Breaths. So if somebody with access to Investiture (like Elantrian/Allomancer/maybe Feruchemist/Surgebinder) were to wield it, they could do it safely as long as they don't run out of Investiture.
  12. I doubt it - see, everytime humanity won, Desolation ended. And when Heralds cracked again (that's probably the cause), another one would start anyway. Ending a Desolation does not mean ultimate victory, it only means the enemy is pushed back for a time. Simple victory of humanity would mean they'd get to survive as a species. If they lost, hovewer... it would mean extinction of humanity and thrive of Voidbringers. It seems to be Odium's goal. Perhaps it would somehow let him deInvest or maybe destroy Cultivation or whatever.
  13. I'm not sure it works like that - I mean, aren't the players playing against each other? Could somebody explain?
  14. Probably. We don't have confirmation on this but it seems so.
  15. ... they pay you to get more healthy?! Complete with achievements?! What is this paradise.
  16. Too soon. You can't just joke about it yet! But feels aside, good joke.
  17. I don't think we would ever find out, cause he died on Kaladin's first run.
  18. How's that relevant? Heralds can't just Lightweave and run away, like Hoid does. I don't see how would a slave run away without anyone noticing or causing trouble along the way. And only one of the Heralds reclaimed his Blade (probably Nalan). ... and go to the place they desperately were trying to avoid?
  19. I doubt that one of the Heralds would end up in a place like bridge crews; I even more doubt they they'd get killed there.
  20. Now I also miss sailing. There are few things comparable to that feeling...
  21. I just read through the posts of my friend that Facebook did not show me earlier (unfortunately). Said friend hitchhiked from Poland to Amsterdam and for nine days he had told about his day. His prose is good (I can see influence from The Name of The Wind) and he's done fun things... And now I'm sitting here and feeling the call of wild. Again. And can't do anything about it :|
  22. I just realized how could a subculture among my mages spawn. You see, the magic gives some improvements (like Stomlight or Allomantic pewter + Feruchemical gold)... you don't have to fear being poisoned or drugged, you can easily defend yourself if you find yourself wandering in a bad part of the city, you can go longer without food or water or even sleep et cetera. You don't have to worry much about your condition or stregth (partially because enhancements, partially because you spend a lot of time doing what amounts to superhero work). That means that a lof of those people can do things they earlier only dreamt about - extreme sports? No problem! Hitchhiking around the globe? Nothing to worry about! Backpacking through the mountains, never returning to civilisation for months? Sure! There is an idea to explore in all that, I think. EDIT: You know all these ramblings about how that fight in that movie is so improbable or how that sword technique is totally impractical and things like that? I think I started to build my world the moment I thought "Let's make those things totally reasonable and justified". For example, fights are usually a lot shorter than you see anywhere - one good strike with a sword and that's all, enemy dead. So I gave everyone hardcore regeneration. I gave everyone physical enhancements for all these crazy, impossible movements. There couldn't be anybody with formal training to learn from, so we have a bunch of people with melee weapons who only know combat from popculture. That way I worked Rule Of Cool into my story. And then I extrapolated and started explaining why all these things exist.
  23. If I can search for specific tags, maybe it's possible to make it not search for specififc tags? Of course, it would only work for tagged topics.
  24. So I have only found out about the "Unread Content" button today. I thought it's just decoration for search bar. After tinkering with it a bit, I think it can be a powerful tool... so that's why I am asking, a lot of you has already become familiar with it, any tips? For starters, I created a stream. Where can I find it? I formatted it to show me unread content in topics I posted in, but how do I keep a specific thread out? I mean, I only posted in "Nightwatcher Boon/Bane" two or three times, but now I have no interest in it and I don't want it showing up. Anybody knows how to do that?
