  1. Well, he never mentioned it, that's true. But even if he wanted to, he couldn't have - he had just cameos; but in Stormlight, he's a character and has a much larger parts of text. INstead of assuming that it means that it's a new ability, I think it's all because he now has more place to do things and say things. I found a WoB on time travel:
  2. I hope you get this job, just so you could tell us the amazing tales about working for Google.
  3. Melee fighting? What's this? The only advice I can give you is the one the game gives: don't hold parry, time it to parry when somebody attacks, they become vulnerable and you can do a quick finisher on them. While you're finishing them, you can't be attacked, so that helps. I haven't got to the DLCs yet, but from what I've heard the ones with plot should be done after main story. You're playing as the assassin who killed the Empress. What else? Get good at Blink, learn to combine it with jumping (as you can jump and Blink mid-air and reach places unreacheable with simple Blink); sliding is also pretty awesome when combined with Blink.
  4. That moment when Brandon steals a line from Ruin xD You know, the whole thing with the endings giving meaning to existence.
  5. It looks like you have a problem with spam.
  6. Wait. Harmony cannot show up in Doors of Stone if Kvothe is supposed to start the Cosmere history Also, we know that modern Kvothe is human and lost almost everything what made him... himself... Yeah, totally he was Adonalsium and then the Sixteen Shattered it and now Kvothe is just a bit more than a shell of flesh since they ripped out the Shards out of his soul. That explains why he's merely a shadow of his past self. Now, how does Chandrian fit into this? Time-travelling Odium/Ruin Splinters?
  7. Yeah, Hemalurgy doesn't really work on them. Don't trust anything you can't spike.
  8. He basically says to look for people who say the wrong words. Like people talking about coins on Roshar or just generally talking about something in a wrong way (I guess cultural differences).
  9. We know he left the other lerasium bead because of his Hoid sense (that Feruchemy which tells him where to go and where). So he was using it before he gained lerasium.
  10. I just learned that a copypaste is being adapted to a film. What a time to be alive.
  11. We know that tin burns the slowest (for example Spook eats a handful and says it will last for a day). So if it was a grounded up tinmind, could a Tin Twinborn Compound for a whole day?
  12. Watching Steven Universe. Currently I've seen 17 episodes and it starts getting interesting (as in plot-thickens-interesting). What's up with that lion, I wonder?
  13. It's chapter six. Kaladin's first run. That unnamed bridgeman switches positions along with Kaladin and they run in the first row. He says the line about the bearer of all agonies, then says it's gonna be hard cause Parshendi are already in position. Then Parshendi archers kneel, draw their bows and release first wave of arrows. The unnamed bridgeman dies - he gets three arrows. After Kaladin almost falls in the chasm and then wakes up, asks for Syl's name and finds his body. One of arrows was through the neck. Then Kaladin takes his clothes. So it cannot be a death rattle, as at the time that man wasn't dying yet. I doubt he's a Herald or worldhopper since he's definitely dead, unless he somehow survived getting three arrows (with one through the neck) and then being trampled by an entire bridge crew and then somehow made a body double and disappeared.
  14. So (if I read wikipedia right) it means you're 14 and he's 16?
  15. A little known fact is that most of tomatoes you eat are genetically modified. However, it has no effect on the taste. I'd suspect the conditions. I buy only from farmers' market and I still have to know who has good ones.
  16. I found the WoB that made me confused:
  17. I start to suspect that obtaining good, fresh tomatoes is very hard in USA.
  18. @Drake Marshall, happy birthday! You're a Herald or a Shard or maybe an elite worldhopper?
  19. I finally found a trope describing the setup for my writing: Outside-Context Problem. Example: It's when the plot concentrates on something like civil war or power-struggles between lords and then they're all suddenly attacked by magic demons. The problem they're encountering was either unconceivable to them or assumed impossible. In my case, few years earlier all the mages evaporated. Before that they all initiated new generation, gave them a quick crash-course, and vanished. For all I know, they were recruited by Doctor Manhattan to wage war at Avengers
  20. This time of year, my tomatoes ripen. There are a lot of them, so we're eating lots of them... and in every meal possible. This obviously means we're eating a lot of Italian food and that's awesome Have you ever eaten a tomato like you would eat an apple? I do.
  21. I've seen many things, but I've never seen a post about food being downvoted.
  22. When I was younger, I'd get rash (I have atopic dermatitis. I checked google and I'm issuing an average warning on googling) but it wasn't so bad I couldn't eat things. Well, there was a time I couldn't, but it was when I was even younger. I had a harsh reaction to dairy, so I couldn't even eat butter. Now I have no reaction from eating food and that's very good, since there is a cremton of foods I'm allergic to. That leaves me with dust and pollens. A story to cheer things up: two or three years ago, early spring, I had a random allergy attack. When I was riding a bus to school my eyes started to tear up really bad (strange as there was no other reaction like sneezing or anything). I went with it. In English class I was called to board for a check-up of vocabulary... all the time red-eyed and tearing. My teacher asked me, full of concern in her voice, if everything is okay and "are you going to burst into tears? Because lately one younger girl did". The funny thing is, I was acing through this and remembering all the words while wiping my eyes once in a moment and then she asks me that xD I laughed and explained "Allergy!". That relief on her face, priceless. EDIT: That depends how strong the allergy is. Some can ignore it... but I know of a girl who cannot eat almost nothing normal. IIRC the only meat she can eat is shark. Cannot eat bread. Those things. She is allergic to some stuff in the clothes and wears primarily silk. I may be misremembering details, but you get the picture.
  23. Well, I'm allergic both to dust and various pollens (and some food, but by now I don't even pay attention to it) *paranoic voice* There is no safe place, they are everywhere! Inside. Outside. Everywhere!
  24. I'm so, so sorry. I assume you are not allergic to pollen, cause life would had been nightmarish hell for you Meds are your friend! During summer there are times I take them every day and I'm fine. Don't be afraid.
  25. I'm not sure I get the joke.
