Before making it your profile pic, would you have been able to pick out Lerasium's symbol out of all the metal symbols. Also, did you catch your pun of calling Vin 'metal'?

I think that Alendi wasn't supposed to be the Hero of Ages. Why would a Feruchemist be needed if Rashek hadn't screwed up Scadrial? No, Preservation saw both Vin and Sazed. Alendi was probably a necessary bump in the road, or something.

I think that Sazed tries to maintain Harmony on both a grand and small scale. The grand scale requires minimal explanation. With people, we go through good times and bad, pain and joy, etc. Szed is trying to maintain this harmony by not isolating Wax to the good life. Killing/capturing criminals, running a noble House, etc. Sazed realizes that without pain, the joyful moments are much more dull, more indifferent. Perhaps the problem is not with Sazed's interpretation of Harmony. It is with ours.

I call an A-pewter F-Electrum Twinborn the Immovable Object. A-Pewter and F-Steel for the unstoppable force. In other news, I have thought of awesome ways to use Duralumin. Heavily store connection, and your opponent might not register you as an enemy. Then heavy tap it for him to want to be your friend, or something. Tapping is more useful in social situations.

I'm going to make a request that may be simple, maybe not. A piece of the world with both ice and bare land. Preferably, the ice is in the mountains, but since the map is already made and all that, I won't be too picky. Note: I would read the map to see what this is, but I can't read the abbreviations. As in, I don't know what they mean.

I've heard that.

I knew it right away, I just didn't guess because 1) I did it last time and 2) I don't know what I would do if it were my turn.

I recognize where the people who call the Aon Kii prison inhumane, but it would be better in the long run. We learn from Stormlight Archive that even the most honorable people, if subjected to pain on a regular basis, stop doing the stuff that makes them go there. It should of course be only used on repeat offenders, and not for the most serious crimes (I support the death penalty for such crimes as those by Raoden's... I'm not going to call him father. Male parental unit. That will work until I come up with something more befitting a man of Iadon's position. That of a terrible King and repeat murderer without cause. Come to think of it, the fact Raoden is a good person at all is remarkable, given his father was terrible and his mother was--Holes reference--a flowerpot.) ADD moment over, Prison Kii should be viewed as a last resort measure for criminals. The basic concept of punishment is to dissuade further criminal activity (with the exception of the death penalty, which is to remove dangerous individuals from society). So while Arelon should and probably does have more standard prisons, their version of Alcatraz (the island, focus now) should be Aon Kii with Forcefield Aon (I don't know which one) outer walls.

In later books, we may find other ways to hold Stormlight, which will be so exiting! I feel it necessary to bring up something about a Shardworld's focus that I figured out, forgot about, then just remembered. On Shardworlds, there are two methods of writing things down. There is one, that anyone can read, basically like our language(s). Then there is another, to which Shards are blind. Art, especially poetry, is often based on the planet's focus. On Scadrial, we get the line,"I write this in metal, for anything not set in metal cannot be trusted" On Nalthis, we get the Artist's script, based on dots of color. On Sel, there are records written with Aons, as well as ChayShan being confirmed by WoB as being based on Jindoese (may be spelled wrong) writing, which is likely based on the land. On Roshar, we have glyphs. The symbols called 'Voidbonding Surges', or some such, are based on rotational symmetry. The glyphs that men are allowed to write and learn are based on symmetry. Lighteyes' names aren't palindromes, usually, because the symmetry is seen as divine. A ketek, (palindrome) written in already symmetric glyphs, becomes perfectly symmetrical, to the point that, if reflected in a mirror, would appear identical to the original. Somehow, symmetry is Roshar's focus.

Let it be known that those with names like Sadeas, Denth, Odium, Rayse, Amaram, etc. are fair game and should be hunted down with extreme prejudice. Also, those without names like that should probably form an alliance and promise to not intentionally destroy them.

What do I do, exactly? I recognize there are 31 pages of background information, but ain't nobody got time for that.

I'm hoping the Elantris sequel will include some modifiers, maybe some Aon equations. And a complete list of what the Aons do would be awesome, but the only way I see us getting that is with a lot of WoBs.

As lame as a lighteyes' honor.

And determine how likely it is that Scadrians will encounter other Shardworlds when they discover FTL travel.

Hey, there are Sharders who want a good railroad spike in their eye. I'm just helping them make an informed decision.

This is not a topic for compiling figures of speech, this is for coming up with our own, based on any of Sanderson's books. For example, a figure of speech I have thought of for Scadrial is 'burning the midnight Bendalloy'. Do with this what you will.

So, we're not going to find out who Hoid is until all ten books are done? *Sigh* Excuse me, I need to go burn a lot of cadmium.
