  1. Or store too much fortune and Odium escapes from Braize.
  2. Can I just smile at how fast we have invented the name mistfabrial?
  3. I think Rayse could, he just doesn't because that would change his intent.
  4. It's a cookie covered in cinnamon sugar. It's more than that, but that's all I know. Also, Dark Alley, only approach if you have information about snickerdoodles. And leave your spikes behind (sans ones impaled in your flesh)
  5. Thank you for that WoB!
  6. First of all, the books do not follow a timeline like that. Basically, there are some epigraphs in the Stormlight Archive books that refer to Sel, the world Elantris is set on. Mistborn gives us the most answers regarding the Cosmere, but SA helps shine some light on Splintering. There is an unpublished book White Sands that Sanderson will e-mail you if you e-mail him, as well. He also has a collection of short stories, many of which can be found on his website. Also, may I suggest Steelheart? It is NOT Cosmere, but it is still quite good.
  7. What if, ironically, it turns investiture into Odium's Investiture?
  8. The problem is that the energy can eventually, potentially, turn back into matter. Investiture that has been Nightblood-ed cannot turn back into investiture.
  9. Then just don't play during class, and everyone is happy. Except that you have nothing to do in class. Oh well, I can't help you at this point.
  10. It's a swear filter. For example, the unflattering name for a donkey turns to chull.
  11. So, the science club at my school had an activity where we took galvanized steel covered in tape, cut out designs on the tape, removed the zinc covering the steel, then replaced the steel with copper via replacement reaction. So what do I do? Make the Allomantic symbols for steel and copper, of course! (Spoiler for size)
  12. I was trying to take a picture of a bunch of Stormlight-infused gemstones wrapped around trees, but it failed. Turns out, I took a picture of the rusting Everstorm.
  13. I'm assuming that it kills the Returned?
  14. Santhids are giant underwater Rosharian butterflies.
  15. Am I the only one who noticed the pun of being invested in the Cosmere?
  16. By 'other powers', I take that to mean Feruchemy. We don't know how someone becomes a Feruchemist, though the facts of Hoid having, at one time, a bead of Lerasium, as well as WoB-confirmed Feruchemy, suggest that he used the bead to somehow get Feruchemy as well as Allomancy.
  17. There are some theories on the origin of Wayne's talent, and as for his superiority over kandra, for thousands of years they were living in a cave. Not getting one's 'a's right is a minor issue, but does raise some questions.
  18. There are SoS spoilers to follow, but since this is a spoiler board for the book after SoS, no tags. He does it because he needs to let go of Lessie, and the way for him to do it is right in front of him. He doesn't want to even consider another option, not even one that could potentially bring him happiness. Perhaps he believes that since he killed the woman he first loved-twice-he feels he doesn't deserve to be married to someone he loves. Remember, he is still hurting from Lessie's death, having only just recovered from the first time. It's like (WoK spoilers) There are a lot of holes in that metaphor, but it's sort of a similar situation. I don't think that Wax will ever be able to completely let go of Lessie until he finds someone who he feels similarly towards. Someone who puts his memories of Lessie into the background, who is to him everything Lessie was, but nothing of who she was. By the end of the book/series, this may be Steris or Marasi. I don't think it's going to be a new player, since it's not like Brandon to throw a character in at that point in the series just for that role. I am still curious about how Wayne is going to go about moving on.
  19. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Fifth Heightening, the one obtained by a Divine Breath, able to be obtained by two thousand normal Breaths?
  20. On a totally unrelated note, if a Soulcaster (either Surgebinder or fabrial-user) were to turn something into ice, would they use a diamond (for crystal, quartz, etc) or a garnet (for blood and non-oil liquids)?
  21. I think that the part about storing more of a charge at once is right, as well as, for example, being able to more efficiently sort through coppermind information.
  22. A-Zinc and F-Duralumin. I suggest that this Twinborn could easily be an actor, especially on stage. Riot the appropriate emotions, and tap Duralumin for added fame. Then store it when you don't want to get followed by paparazzi.
  23. Basically, Lestibournes' Mistborn status was of the same Allomantic strength as the other Mistborn in the series, sans Inquisitors, Elend, and TLR.
  24. Any Shard with the intent of Discord seems to, by definition, result in its own self-destruction.
  25. Your theory is flawed, but I can't tell how. I do think that in the book, it mentions Shashara being killed by Nightblood and Vasher, and Vasher was the only other person who has any connection to Nightblood's creation. Divine Breath is different from normal Breath because Divine Breaths are basically Splinters that, as far as we know, are not sentient. I'm not saying Endowment has been Splintered, after all, there were Radiantspren before Honor was Splintered.
