  1. Usually I would but something is preventing my powers from working here...
  2. FYI there's already a discussion thread.
  3. I must confess I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to say here. The foci for AonDor are the Aons, which are external yes. But the focus for Allomancy (and Feruchemy/Hemalurgy) is the metal (specifically the molecular structure of the metal, which acts like a mini-Aon type thing) which seems just as external to me. For Awakening the foci are the Commands, which I've theorized previously as creating patterns in the Cognitive, which I guess would be "internal" We don't know what the focus for Surgebinding is.
  4. What symbol between paragraphs are you talking about? The asterisks that denote a scene change? Those are a pretty standard thing in books. Also while this hasn't ever been confirmed I know somebody theorized that the three diamonds overlapped each other like this: instead of just being three diamonds next to each other. (don't remember what the thread was called though. I think it is pretty safe to say that the Ghostbloods and Diagramists are not the same thing since Mraize makes some disparaging/dismissive comments about Taravangian at some point @McKeeDee While Mraize has worldhopped (under close supervision by his babsk) he is from Thaylenah.
  5. I'm going to retract my vote for Eol, Wilson has pretty much convinced me that he's a Villager. I'm going to hold off on my next vote as I'm not entirely sure who I want to vote for.
  6. just to double check, these are verbatim, correct? Edit: Anyway added: http://www.theoryland.com/intvmain.php?i=1099
  7. moving this to the Firefight spoiler forum...
  8. Yeah I doubt it. Brandon has been pretty firm in saying alternate Earth stories are completely distinct from the cosmere stories. And Miles isn't that uncommon a name, it's natural that names get repeated. (In fact Reckoners has to others, there's a minor character in Legion named Megan and Tia is the name of an Aon).
  9. Huh... I thought I had posted this morning... (Oh wait I just double checked and it looks like I actually posted it last night... nevermind) I agree that Wilson and Claincy should be high priority targets for the Spiked, their experience plus the information they are privy to in the PM groups make them a threat. So the fact they haven't been killed thus far could mean one or both of them are Spiked. Which would be bad news for us. Though people aren't limiting there PM usage to just the group ones, right? So there would be hope that some information was denied to the Spiked. Of course if they are Villagers then the longer the Spiked keep them alive the more suspicious we'll be of them... So I don't know what to do with them... Yet. My mind keeps going back to Eolhandras, so for now that is where my vote will go. It seems like such a reasonable explanation but my gut just won't let it go...
  10. As far as I can tell, if the Elantris Aon was neutralized, then yes they would return to "normal" (they would still be Elantrians, but their Aons wouldn't be super strong).
  11. No, the Shaod exists independently of Elantris. After all it had to have been built by people who had experienced it (otherwise it wouldn't be a functioning Aon). There's basically two things going on the Shaod and the broken Aon. The first gives Raoden the ability to draw Aons, the second makes him into a zombie. Dilaf's wife was also targeted by an incomplete Aon (a healing one) and turned into a zombie, but she was not taken by the Shaod so she could not draw Aons.
  12. I'm also hesitant of lynching Wilson at this point (and that's only like 30% me being just plain terrified of her being Spiked--seriously even *I* know that's bad news for all of us--and not wanting to consider it actually being the case). While her late vote could be construed as suspicious I think she's suitably explained that it was due to outside circumstances. To be quite honest I'm still not entirely sure about Eolhandras...
  13. It's just the way I see it saying "I'm not spiked" is kind of a useless statement, no matter how true it may or may not be. Villagers will obviously say it, because it's true. But so will the Spiked, 'cause you know it would be stupid to admit being spiked (though very useful for us). The "draw attention to yourself" was probably not the best way of phrasing what I was thinking, basically a good defense is being so obvious that people immediately discount you. Not the best of course, but if you are already gathering unwanted attention... And apologies, I didn't realize you hadn't played in a while, must have missed that if you mentioned it.
  14. No it's because they were targets of an incomplete Aon. The Elantrian Metropolitan District mega-Aon was lacking the chasm line. It was basically a massive power enhancer targeting all of the Elantrians, when it became flaw all Elantrians felt the consequences.
  15. Hmmm it will be useful to have a buffer going forward so I hereby rescind by vote for Dom. Right now I've been thinking about how emphatic Hero was by saying "I am not spiked". He could be a Villager desperate to make sure people know it, or a Spiked overcompensating, though both of those are kind of rookie moves (in my opinion as a rookie). What if he's doing a double bluff? If I remember correctly he's played a number of these, right? So I don't think he would draw attention to himself in that way unless it was a diversion of some sort? Does that make sense? He's disguising being Spiked by being the obvious choice? So I vote for Hero.
  16. There's also a thread for the Philly signing here: http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/21943-firefight-tour-philly-127/
  17. I'm going to go ahead and vote for Dom at this point in time. (For completely arbitrary "They haven't posted yet so let's keep the people who are actually playing around" reasons) I do have my eye on a couple people, Eol being one of them. His explanation seems reasonable enough, but I can't say I'm totally convinced.
  18. @Shardlet why don't you click the link before complaining about the Ultimate List
  19. Here's my list: There's also the Ultimate List.
  20. I also received one of the PM's and he also explained that it was an icebreaker when I questioned him about it. I received it at 5:22AM Eastern Time.
  21. Probably from the WoR Ars Arcanum, which refers to Adhesion as "The Surge of Pressure and Vaccuum"
  22. Pain. Something must be broken, Riew had landed on his right side, his arm pinned beneath him. He'd been able to stand up and stumble away from the burning building to safety and watched in a daze as the villagers put it out. Now though the shock of the previous night had worn away, leaving a pain in his arm. Probably a hair-line fracture, or at least it felt like the time he'd fallen down a chimney while cleaning it, and got one. It could've been worse... I could have died! Riew didn't know what to do, where to go. After the news of the murder... Well he didn't want to be alone. I should really get this looked at as well... At least it wasn't my left. He stood up from the wall he had been leaning against in hopes of finding someone who could splint his arm. [Hopefully one of the PC's knows how?]
  23. There is supposed to be one, they just might not have made a page for it yet.
  24. Just in case anyone is interested, Brandon's site has been updated with a new Firefight themed skin. It looks to me like a mash up of the original Steelheart cover and the Firefight cover, and looks pretty cool in my opinion.
