Okay so while doing my thing I've come across two WoB's: From last summer's Manchester, UK signing: (source) And from last month's Atlanta signing: (source) Is it just me or does that pretty much conclusively prove that Khriss is the author of the Ars Arcana? Edit: Updating with a few more points Ars Arcana Author is female: This is not a coincidence. (source)

Stormlight Archive Reread [Updated: 02/27/2015]
WeiryWriter replied to Frosted Flakes's topic in Stormlight Archive
On the listeners being the original Knights Radiant, I really don't think it's likely. Namely because of these quotes: (source) As for where they got the Plate and Blade, there are hundreds of sets unaccounted for. (Dalinar does talk briefly about how many known sets there are in the world in WoK, and that number is less than half of the number abandoned at Feverstone keep (which was only a segment of the Radiant population). -
We did already know that, sorry. (Fun fact the people getting married there are actually admins/founders of the site, Rubix and firstRainbowRose, Brandon wrote them in as a wedding present.)

Well here is a map of the Silver Kingdoms. As for associated Heralds/Orders, we don't really know if there /are/ connections like that, or at least nothing has been confirmed. Granted I do think there is a connection between the Silver Kingdoms and the Heralds (less so with the Orders) but the only connection I'm reasonably sure about is Alethela/Talenelat (Since Alethela was the kingdom dedicated to the arts of War, Talenel is the Herald of War, and "Taln" shows up at Kholinar (which was probably the capital of Alethela).

Actually Dragonsteel is located near the beginning, space Mistborn is one of the (if not the) final sequences.

Hey would you mind posting these here, this isn't where WoB's are supposed to be submitted (in fact I'm going to lock this thread--For anyone reading this after, reports go in the Events and Signings forum).

Correlations between Surges and Essences
WeiryWriter replied to Sirce Luckwielder's topic in Cosmere Discussion
So, there are some good ideas here, but there is not a direct one to one relationship between Surges and Essences, they are off-set by one (so each Surge is related to to adjacent Essences and vice versa). The best representation of this is the Double-Eye of the Almighty (which is often referred to as the Surgebinding chart): The big, colorful glyphs are the Fundamental Glyphs and represent the Ten Essences (and their related gemstones, Order, Herald, etc.) while the smaller glyphs are the Surges. So Zephyr/Windrunners (in the upper right, the blue one) is connected to the glyphs for Adhesion and Gravitation. Gravitation also connects to Vapor/Skybreakers. Which in turn connects to Division. And so on and so forth. So technically, as far as we can tell, the Edgedancers are related to the Surge of Progression, but not the Essence of Pulp (at least not directly).- 5 replies

Dilaf's wife and the spell that went wrong
WeiryWriter replied to Crabtree's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
Devotion and Dominion were Splintered at the same time the Seons were created, there were Seons around long before the Reod. (source) Also this: (source) -
Actually we have WoB that Herdazians (and Horneaters) are related to the Parshendi: (source)
-
No, but this thread is.
-
That's also not true, Odium did not leave any of his power behind on Sel: (source)
-
That would be pretty hard to do since he has never /been/ to Scadrial.
-
Yeah Kurkistan did message me about these, so I could add them to the database, but I wanted to wait until the audio was posted so we could get verbatim stuff.
-
Actually that WoB refers to the fact that Vasher was in the original 2002 draft of WoK and so has been on Roshar 12 years "our time". It does NOT refer to how long he has been on Roshar in-world.
-
No, it specifically refers to the fact that he knew enough to refer to himself as a Sliver.
-
I actually had a different WoB in mind, but I"m not finding it right now.
-
Actually I want to say Brandon has said something about how the fact that he knew to refer to himself as a Sliver showed that Rashek knew more about the cosmere than he let on. Let's see if I can actually find it. (so Brandon may have taken Sliver and ran with it because of the Lord Ruler, but it is a term in-world)
-
No, we have no idea if there are any others or if the ones we know about are the only ones.
-
I'll probably try and remember to post them here.

So I just wanted to bring this neat thing to everybody's attention. Starting next month, February, booktube (a community of book reviewers on youtube) are launching the #YearofCosmere, a monthly bookclub going through all of the cosmere books in preparation for a big cosmere-intensive live-stream discussion next January. One of the leaders talks about it here: I for one will be over in the goodreads group discussing the books with everyone!

I do have to say this, YOU RUINED EVERYTHING! If you hadn't voted for me I could have survived that lynching! -
Working on transcription (currently a little over half way through the general q&a) I have to take a break for dinner but figured I'd share what I have thus far: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1t8tZ7z32_rbrih1rh1mq26LeNdeHurnjbFds-x5TkoQ/edit?usp=sharing
