  1. There's already a thread about this (http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/4159-steelhunt/). Also there is a thread explaining the steelhunt spoiler policy (http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/4247-announcement-no-discussing-steelhunt-information/)
  2. False, Szeth has access to both surges. The Basic Lashing and the Reverse Lashing (which might just be a specialized version of the Basic) have to do with Gravity. The Full Lashing has to do with Pressure.
  3. Actually it is a reading he's done, but the recording hasn't been posted yet.
  4. We don't really know. Aon Ien is listed as meaning "Wisdom" but it is used in healing. (To my knowledge it is never listed as meaning Healing, it's just used for it.) I believe there is a question in the Ultimate List that aims to clear this up.
  5. Could you ask about the Steelheart novelette that is supposed to be coming out sometime this year?
  6. I believe Brandon is usually pretty hesitant about answering "How would win in a fight" questions since there are so many contributing factors. Also Feruchemy abilities don't follow the same organization as Allomantic abilities. Feruchemy is broken up realmatically, so while Allomantic brass is a mental metal, Feruchemical brass is a Cognitive metal. Kurkistan has a theory explaining this. (Basically Brandon made a mistake, he had swapped brass' and electrum's abilities)
  7. If it does end up that Brandon pointed to the wrong symbol I'm willing to bet Skybreakers would be order 2, with Dustbringers being order 3. Also the reason I have gravity as being shared between 1 and 10 is because pressure just makes sense as being between 1 and 2 which both have gaseous essences.
  8. Shh... Don't give them any ideas.
  9. Red Carpet, Once White should probably be added to this...
  10. Yah, definitely. Brandon talks a little about how spren are mixture of Honor and Cultivation here.
  11. Wow great questions! And confirmation that fabrials can mimic all the radiant abilities! Some one asked him this a couple months ago and he said Cultivation was still alive.
  12. I would like to throw this out since it is kind of related to what you are talking about and I kind of want to set this straight for myself since I need to figure this out. Spren and Seons act as "release valves" for uncontrolled Shardic energy. The process is more efficient on Roshar then on Sel (which is why its hazardous to go to the Cognitive Realm on the latter and not the former). Likely this is because spren are more numerous than seons. Why is this the case? Only one shard splintered on Roshar, two splintered on Sel. Spren existed prior to the splintering of Honor. Perhaps the pre-existing spren were used as a model for the splinter-spren meaning it was easier to set up release valves? But Sel didn't have anything like spren so it to longer to set up the release valves before critical mass was reached? I really don't know what any of this means...
  13. Sell, Shadows for Silence takes place on a minor shardworld, Silence Divine a major one. There are fabrials that mimic each Radiant ability.
  14. I'm really not sure Worldsingers are an order of Radiant. Hoid was a force in their creation and their is no evidence in him helping to form any Radiant orders. Also Wordsingers, if I remember correctly, are still an active group while we know the Radiants were disbanded. Lastly Hoid tells Kaladin to tell Sigzil he passed his apprenticeship and that he is now a Worldsinger. He doesn't show any abilities that would be extant Worldsingers were Radiants. Spoilers for the Dalinar reading in the Purelake
  15. On the whole "why didn't Ruin alter Sazed's copperminds" thing I just think Ruin was focused on other things. Also it is easiest for Ruin to change something at points of transference (such as transcribing something or accessing a coppermind) and when the change is something minor.
  16. Ooh questions... Let me see... Spren have the ability to become invisible to people, can they become invisible to other spren as well? Or can spren always see other spren whether they wish it or not? Like how Rock can Syl even if she doesn't specifically "appear" to him? Aside from the Greater Roshar system, are there any other multiple shardworld systems? Are there any shardworlds that are actually moons? Oh and this is for clarification: How do you spell "Lyss" the woman Jasnah meets with in the WoR prologue? (that last one more than the others)
  17. Something cem pointed out to me while comparing charts: Travel is probably not the surge shared between the Stonewards and Skybreakers. At least not if Skybreakers also have gravity (which I'm reasonably sure about). If they have Gravity then they can fly and having Travel would be redundant, which I don't think Brandon would do.
  18. I'm fairly confident that Memory is not a surge since it doesn't jive with what we understand of Surgebinding and it doesn't fit with the other surges. To be honest Shallan's ability feels more like the Nightwatcher's boons/curses than anything else we know of magic on Roshar. I also have made my own version of the Surgebinding chart, which out of deference to the current ruling on Steelhunt spoilers I will not be posting. (If anyone wants to see it however I'm more than willing to PM it)
  19. That is only the beginning. The OP describes portions of the scene that Brandon did not read for the recording. This is new information.
  20. I posted on your User Talk page about this, you can find it at coppermind.net/wiki/User_talk:Mailliw73
  21. I would say Light was Shallan's other surge which would be shared with Order Five (which I think would have Light and Growth). Lightweaver was a possible title for Shallan's book and there was a uncited quote (which no one knew where it came from or if it was actually true) that Shallan would have three apprenticeships, Jasnah, someone, and Hoid who we know uses lightweaving. So basically Order Six = Lightweavers.
  22. Yes, theoretically Sazed, now Harmony, could have shown up in the Stormlight Archive. Brandon however has said he does not plan on doing so when he was asked this question. Edit: To the best of our knowledge Hoid worldhop's by manipulating the Cognitive Realm/Shadesmar. How he does so is unknown.
  23. Shallan's viewpoint makes reference to the "ten heartbeats" required to summon a shardblade one, maybe two, times in WoK. It is not very noticeable, most people miss it on there first readthrough. Are you familiar with the whole cosmere/Shard thing? The "Almighty" is the name the Vorin religion uses for the Shard Honor. The Shard Cultivation also dwells on Roshar while the Shard Odium, the big bad, is on a neighboring planet. The sixteen Shards were once part of something known as Adolnalsium. If you want to learn more about this I really recommend the coppermind wiki. As for your other questions, we don't really know.
  24. Atium spikes do decay, just at a lower rate than normal spikes I believe. They have to since hemalurgy is end-negative and of Ruin, to otherwise just wouldn't fit.
  25. It was RAFO'd
