  1. Hael, you need to make a red colored " :)" so that " :)" can be voted on. I'm still deciding if I want to join this game or not. Was planning on taking a short break from SE after QF15, but this is the Shard sequel and you do need more players... Well, okay, I guess I'll play one more and then take a break. Sign me up as Lopen.
  2. My suspects for Ryuk: Haelbarde, Meta, Burnt, Mark, Elbereth, Strawman and Bugsy. That list isn't in any particular order. I suspect all of them about the same. I'm slightly paranoid about Mailliw possibly being Ryuk, but I don't think he is.
  3. Besides Arraenae's problem with your plan Hael, I see another one. This is a QF, and I doubt every single player will remember to do that each Cycle, whereas L most definitely will. It's not a huge problem, but it could help Ryuk narrow down on who L is faster. Of course, if L wants to claim to random people, that doesn't really help hide him either... With the issue of 2 people claiming to be L. I suggest whoever the fake one is reveals themselves. I for one will defend you from being killed. Because, even if you are the Death Note Holder, we don't need to kill you. Ryuk is our only target. Killing the Death Note Holder is a very low priority imo. It's actually not very helpful at all, because then Ryuk can change someone's alignment or learn who is a PO/L. So to me, whoever those 2 players are should be kept alive for the duration of the game. I very much doubt that Ryuk would claim L on the first Day. So if I'm right, we've just narrowed down who Ryuk could be by 2 people!
  4. If you have important information regarding other players roles, do NOT make that public. Ryuk is gonna turn those who have information if he can, so by revealing you know sensitive information, such as you knowing L's identity, you become a target for conversion. If you're okay with that, well then, I suggest to everyone else to not give that person any information, and we should probably lynch you. It's not a huge problem right now, because Ryuk can't convert anyone yet, but once the Death Note Holder dies(which I'm guessing will happen sooner rather than later), we're all at risk of conversion. So if you want to be an informed villager and stay an informed villager, you should really keep that as quiet as possible.
  5. Suspicions: Strawman - He usually votes and tries to be a part of Day 1 lynches. Now he says he's against them. If Joe is a Civilian, it could be that he's trying to get close to him to get his information by buddying up with his thoughts. However, Strawman has gotten lynched/killed early a couple times lately I think, so I'd prefer not lynching/killing him right away. DeathClutch - Did a "I'm here, but nothings going on, so bye." post, which does nothing to further discussion. Meta - He's the Holder of the Death Note Shard. Arraenae - gut. Sheep - gut I somewhat trust Joe, LUNA, Mailliw, Aman and Burnt. Hael a little as well. All gut reads. Probably worthless. Edit: I also trust Elbereth a little as well. At first I was suspicious of her, but that's changed. Will probably change multiple times over the course of the game.
  6. The Order of Actions states that the Death Note kill is before Ryuk's converting, so I think it's possible for the Death Note Holder to kill themselves, then Ryuk converts someone. So if Ryuk wanted to, he could convert someone this Cycle I think. Alv, is that possible? Aman, you finally come back, and then you vote on me. Great. Welcome back. I do have a notebook, but as far as I've been able to tell, it's never killed anyone. (I've even written names in it and everything! ) What. You've got to be kidding Joe. People, come on, you're supposed to reveal to me! Edit: Taking my vote off of Bugsy.
  7. Using the Murderer kill as a type of second lynch could be used to protect L and Officers, because if their name comes up and they get voted to be killed, they should have some warning so that they can claim in the thread if need be(which isn't ideal, but it's better than crippling ourselves by taking out any of our players that are confirmed good/can't be converted). However, I don't think that it's vital that the Murderers actually kill whoever we vote on. If they have a suspicion of someone, and the power to kill, they could pretty much just tell that person they're gonna kill them, because Ryuk and his underling(s) don't have any protection I don't think. Or...they could just kill whoever they wanted, since they are murderers. Honestly, L doesn't have to get protection right away. The earliest he could be found out would be next Cycle, and that's very unlikely. Also, I don't care to rely on L for finding Ryuk. But it's not a bad plan, and it would centralize our allies together I think. In the unlikely scenario that Ryuk claims Policeman, L would already have protection anyways, because all the Police would know his identity, so whoever is the Policeman with the power to protect for that Cycle just targets L, and he's protected. Sheep, my general understanding of the plan is as follows: C1 - L scans Joe. C2 - L tells Joe he's been cleared, Joe announces that in the thread, then policemen and Murderers claim to Joe, who tells them L's identity. L is the protected by a Policeman, while scanning whoever he wants. So not really a lot of trust put into Joe, unless you suspect he's the Death Note Holder who is just trying to draw out L into the thread, but if that happened, the Police would always protect him anyways. Day one lynches. Like I said above, I don't want to rely on L's scanning power to find Ryuk. I'd rather we used the lynch. And again, it's unlikely L would get lynched on Day 1(not trying to jinx you L, just stating statistics). If we do what you suggest, what do you propose we discuss right now? It's probably gonna be difficult to find Ryuk, sure, but that's because he's 1 player out of 22. L can scan people that we don't lynch, so if we hit a villager, and he scans a villager, that's 1 dead villager, and 1 scanned villager(who at least can't be Ryuk, and so should be kept alive for the rest of the game, even if their alignment gets switched), making us able to narrow down a little more on who Ryuk could be. Mass reveal by Murderers? Hm, well, I guess it's up to them really. So I don't care if they do or not. I personally plan to take a very straightforward approach to this game. I'm also planning to advocate lots of voting for this game, since I think it can be more useful than it generally is in the games here. (El, my character is trying to killfind L remember? So it's perfectly logical. Something that's not logical is you voting on me for changing my avatar when you just did so yourself. ) Bugsy, how's it going? Get a new notebook lately? Or have you given a notebook to anyone?
  8. As the Nobles began to grow restless, wondering why Loopen had summoned them all, he appeared in front of all of them, on top of some stairs in the courtyard they were in. "I asked you all here today to explain the misunderstanding that occured earlier today." Loopen said as he pulled out some small rectangular papers from his clothing. "The truth is......." he paused and looked up at the crowd with a grin on his face, and lowered the cards. "...I am a Ghostblood."
  9. Sigh. Sorry, but I lied about Heiring. I've had the Soulcaster since the start of the game. I suspected you knew about my Soulcaster after you asked me in the thread(after already asking about my T1A Action in a PM), and sent a message to our go between person, but I don't think they've seen it yet. I didn't heir Zas, I redirected his role Action to himself to try and make him kill himself if he was evil and using the GB kill. You asking me in the thread who I targeted with my T1A Action on N2 is a pretty big indication you knew I had a T1A item, but I didn't want the GB's to know about it, so I claimed to have Heired someone to try and mask what you were revealing, and then continue the conversation through our PM friend(who I didn't trust enough to tell them I have a Soulcaster when they asked me if I used my T1A Action for N1). Edit: I'm going to bed now, but will answer any and every question you ask me tomorrow, as soon as I can.
  10. A man carrying a briefcase stepped out of a sleek black car with dark tinted windows. The passeger side window slid down a few inches, and a deep mans voice spoke to the man who'd just stepped out of the car. "This is it. This is where we've tracked Kira. We've narrowed the suspects down to a relatively small number who are here in this city, whose names are in that briefcase . If you can manage to stop him, then you can have your freedom. If not, well, we won't have to worry about you anymore at least. We'll be keeping a close watch on the proceedings." With that, the window slid closed and the car sped away. Good riddance. the man with the case thought. He walked to a nearby hotel, and got 2 rooms for himself. 1 on the bottom floor and 1 on the top. It never hurt to be cautious, so if one room got compromised, he'd use the second one. No one would think to look for him at the same hotel if they found one of his rooms. "Sir? Could you please sign your name right here?" the man at the counter said as he handed the man with the briefcase a pen. "Of course. There we are," he said as he finished signing his name with a flourish. Frank B. Ingram. "Could I have 2 "do not disturb" signs for the rooms? I like my privacy." "Of course Mr., ah, Ingram. Here you are." ------ After setting up his equipment in his rooms, "Frank Ingram" sat down at his laptop, which held the names of the Kira suspects. Kira. Who cares about him. It's L I'm after. If not for him, I'd be living luxuriously, safely hidden away on my own private island. As it is, now I have to risk my life chasing after some freak with the power to kill from anywhere. But if I know anything about L, it's that he likes a challenge. This case is just his type, and I'd bet my life that he's here. L, I'm coming for you. The real hunt begins now. Okay, my characer is "Frank B. Ingram."
  11. Okay, finally got access to a computer, so here's my reads on everyone. Was planning to go through the thread again after the Night Turn, but haven't had the time or computer to do so, so here's what I gave to Burnt last Night. Current suspicions: Kas/Alv - Would like to hear more from both of them. Kas seems to be inactive though. Alv, I just can't read. I think one of them is probably evil. Elbereth - kind of. Close to neutral for me. Tough to read. Kynedath - Inactive, but for real life reasons. He's actually neutral, but whatever. Sheep - He seems to be following the general opinion in the thread(his name is Sheep after all j/k, haha). Anyways, not too suspicious of him, since he is a new player, but I think it could be an easy place to hide as an eliminator. Macen - It doesn't seem like he's voiced a lot of opinions. So I'm suspicious he could just be trying to fly under the radar. His vote on DC this Cycle kind of makes me more suspicious, because I still think DC is probably a villager. Leaning village, but still close to neutral: Stink - some good analysis early on. Tough to read though. (See: LG17 ) Zas - gut read. Mark - gut, plus helpfulness in thread. Trusts(or, more solid village reads. I rarely trust anyone): Nyali - gut read, plus very helpful. Has a Shardblade??? DC - gut read, plus more active this game compared to previous games where he's been evil. (DC, you missed me in your reads btw.) Seonid - gut read. Seems village-y. (I've never played with evil Seonid though, so my opinion may not be the best for him) Wilson - mixed feelings early on. I've still got some lingering doubt, but Twei told me some interesting info, plus some people say she seems village-y. Twei - gut read(mixed with paranoia from MR10). My village read on her also extends to the fact that I think Wilson might be village, because they seem to trust each other a good amount. Burnt - gut(after rerolled stuffs). Paranoia is still there, but I doubt it will ever leave. So yeah, I don't have super solid reads at the moment. Hopefully will have time later tonight to research some players. I'll put my vote on Macen for the time being.
  12. About your first point. I'm not sure that DC has a Blade. Because if he had a Blade previous to this Day, and because of his insistence that Wilson is evil, I'd think he would have attacked her by now, and we haven't seen another Blade attack besides Joe's. So unless you're right that DC got Joe's Shardblade, my guess would be that DC is lying and actually has Plate, and so he doesn't much care if he's lynched(which he doesn't seem to care about at the moment it seems, unless he's just not been online for awhile, and that's why he's been so quiet lately), except that it'll take away 1 protection off his Plate(like Wilson's now, since she was attacked by Trelagist). Also, if he has Joe's Blade, I'm not sure why he would do this Duel either. Because he would have the power to attack Wilson on his own, without forcing a lynch like he's trying to do. Plus...doing a Shard duel like this doesn't seem like a good idea if you have a Blade. Because then, if the GB's have a Soulcaster(like they probably do), you can't use it(unless you're a GB). That's not exactly what I was asking, but I take it to mean that you weren't aware of Joe having a Blade. My guess would be that he didn't tell anyone actually, because if he did, I'd think he would have mentioned that in his Death Cry, because that person would potentially be a GB. Especially because his attack got redirected as he was killed. And I agree with you about whoever redirected that is most likely a GB, because village Soulcasters should be redirecting role actions, if they redirect anything, and I think it's been made clear that's what they should be doing.
  13. I like how the Murderers are village. It's definitely Death Note style. A couple questions: If a Shinigami targest L or a Police Officer, is the targeted player made aware of that? If there's 2 or more Shinigami, does that mean they could kill 2 players? Or is it just one "shared" kill between all evils? Are protected attacks shown in write-ups? Are murderer attacks and Death Note attacks differentiated in write-ups?
  14. Well, I've reviewed each player, and I'm gonna vote for DC. He's actually not posted as much as I thought he had, and much of those posts are about Wilson, and not much else. I still feel like he's probably a villager, and if he is, it sounds like he's tunneling on Wilson. His case against her isn't much, and certainly not enough that I think it warranted him forcing a duel. Now, I'm not sure if Wilson is a villager, because besides DC's suspicion against Wilson, there's also Burnts theory, but it's hard to say why Burnt was targeted, if it was random or if there was more meaning behind her being the target of Joe's redirect(which has not been talked about very much. Who was in contact with him? Did he tell anyone he had a Shardblade? I kinda wish he hadn't done his Death Cry so fast. It's possible he was targeted by a Ghostblood Spy(if they have one) or a Ghostblood with an Emotion Bracelet(if they have one) and that's how they knew he had a Shardblade. But it would be nice if we could hear from the players who were in contact with him. He said he trusted Wilson, Nyali, DC and Zas, and Wilson claimed to have not been told about him having a Shardblade(according to Burnt I think?). DC, Zas and Nyali, were any of you aware of Joe having a Shardblade? Did anyone besides Wilson have a PM with him?), and Twei has something that she said is pretty good evidence that Wilson is village. So, even though I don't really trust Twei, I feel like she probably would have something at least, because faking evidence about someone this early to keep them from being lynched doesn't sound like a smart idea(whereas in MR10 when she faked evidence to keep herself from being lynched, the game was all but over). I am curious about what the "reasonably good evidence" is that makes her think Wilson is village though. Any chance you could elaborate on that Twei? Anyways, I hate trying to analyse Wilson, because I've never been able to tell either way with her in the few games I've actually played with her, but according to a few players who are probably more familiar with her, she seems to be doing things like a village Wilson would, and there may be some factual evidence pointing to her being a villager(which, for me, is the thing I like to rely on the most for deciding lynches, because my gut just ain't very good), so I have to agree that lynching her is probably a bad idea. As for the "vigilante kill lynch" thing, I'll stick my vote back onto Trelagist, with my questions from earlier still applying. Who do you think is suspicious/trustworthy? What is your opinion about DC or Wilson?
