  1. I'd love to hear those gut feelings. Even if they're wrong, it could help get the lynch discussion started! Myself, I'm not really sure of anyone. I've got a couple players who I think could be village(specifically, I marked down Jondesu, randuir, HH, Doc, and Drought, but those are very hesitant reads), but no one who's really stuck out to me as evil, which makes it hard to put down a vote. I did go over all of Cycle 1 and note down how much Honor I think each player got, and I'm of the opinion that most of the Unjust would attempt to get as much Honor as fast as they can, but since we don't know if they're all even going to try for a Spren, that might be a faulty assumption. I'll go ahead and ask that Balthazar(Mage) be brought forward for interrogation. There was just something about him earlier that rubbed me the wrong way.
  2. Shinon finally reached the Highprince. Others were close, but seemed hesitant to approach the man. He was intimidating. However, he wouldn't let this chance slip away. He approached him directly. He bowed, then introduced himself. "Brightlord, it's an honor to be here. I told you my name when I was accepted as an Initiate, but wasn't able to properly introduce myself. I am Shinon, an archer from Highprince Roion's warcamp." Shinon said "I see," Dalinar said. "You should be proud. Your Highprince showed bravery when most men would flee. His sacrifice probably saved my life. We'll need more men like him if we're to overcome the days ahead." "I agree, Brightlord. I hope that I can be as good a man as he." Shinon replied somberly. "I understand your grief soldier. But now is not the time for such thoughts. This is a party, enjoy yourself!" Dalinar said. "Of course, Brightlord. I look forward to serving beneath you." Shinon said as he bowed again and walked away to join the crowd and meet the other Initiates.
  3. If I'm interpreting the rules correctly(which isn't always the case, I'll admit ), I believe that you spend your Honor, but that it accumulates. So, if you earn 2 Honor per Cycle and you spend it each Cycle on a liespren, then you'll just be adding to how much Honor you have towards getting a liespren. So, 2 at the end of C1, then 4 at the end of C2, then 6, 8, etc. until you reach the amount you need to get the liespren, at which point you'll get the liespren, consuming the Honor you've put towards it, unless someone else gets picked over you, in which case your Honor will still be there, you just have to wait until the liespren abandons the other player/the player dies, giving you another chance of getting the liespren. However, once you spend Honor on a certain Spren, you can't remove that Honor and put it towards a different Spren. @The lazy anarchist, @Shqueeves, @Elbereth, if you all want some Honor this Cycle, you better post stuff!
  4. Sure, and I agree that it could be a useful way to use it. I think the fact that I was absolutely terrible with my PM spy role the one time I've had it makes me less inclined to want one again. XD
  5. I think the fact that only one person at a time can use it is why it's(Lightweaving) not as good of a role as the others. Like Joe said, it's unlikely any Unjust is gonna reveal their teammates in a PM, especially since they've actually got a doc in this game. I still think it can be useful to confirm people's stories later on, but I don't know how likely it is that anything like that will come up. I think reflectionspren(Truthwatchers) can also be helpful in confirming players roles, or lack thereof. If there's evidence that someone has been using a Spren in a suspicious way and no one knows who it is, the Truthwatcher can clear players(just clear them in the sense that we'd know they weren't the one using the Spren, not clearing them as in proving their alignment) or get lucky and find who the culprit is. And of course later on they could be used to find Skybreakers. I'm pretty sure Aman already confirmed that they can be used to find them, although I think he might've said that in Discord. I already said this in my PM with Rae, but I think this game in particular, everyone should try to use more PM safety. If the Unjust are going for certain Spren, then they'll want to try and kill whoever has the Spren they want if they don't get it first. So for your own safety, as well as the other players with Spren, it's best to be very careful with roleclaims. Feels weird that I'm saying that of all people. >.> On that thought, Aman, when a player dies, will we be told if they had a Spren at that time and what Spren they had?
  6. Actually, I think it's closer to 1 elim for every 5 players. So I'm guessing it's either 4 or 5 Unjust. I think I'm leaning towards 4, but I don't think 5 would be too much, so I'll probably just assume it's 5 since I'd rather not underestimate how many Unjust are left when the game is getting close. Arinian definitely brings up a good point about the lynch. However, half isn't really that difficult to get voting. All for the same person? That might be a little more difficult. I do think we need to have a lynch every Cycle and I think we should probably execute whoever we imprison very soon after, unless new evidence comes up for that persons innocence. We can't rely on roles for a little while, and even then, roles aren't as consistently useful as the lynch. There's no reason not to go for a Spren if you're a villager. You've only got one Action to use and I'd advise you to try and get a Spren as fast as possible if only to keep the Unjust from getting them. It's not wasting your Honor, since it doesn't go anywhere...
  7. Okay, so I had a misconception about how the Unjust faction powers worked. I'd thought it was a one use per Cycle thing, but that obviously isn't the case(since 2 Unjust have to attack a Free Honorbound person in order to kill them). So yeah, I suppose I'm not sure whether the Unjust will attempt to Bond a Spren immediately or not like villagers will. I imagine some of them will, but it could be that they'd rather just rely on their faction powers for the most part. Shinon wasn't quite sure what he should wear to the gala. He didn't really go to any big events like these in Roion's warcamp, instead just focusing on his archery and going to duels on occasion. Eventually, he decided that his uniform would be good enough, though he did wash it and get it in as good a condition as he could manage. He grabbed his Knights Radiant cloak and headed for the gala. Once he got there, he felt a little overwhelmed at all of the important figures there. Highprince Kholin and his youngest son, Brightlord Renarin, were here, as well as the Radiants Kaladin and Shallan. He felt a sense of awe that he'd be surrounded by the most powerful figures in Alethkar, possibly the entirety of Roshar! Of course, he'd have to grow accustomed to it, because it was likely to be a regular occurrence now that he was to be a Knights Radiant as well. First things first, he went and got himself a drink. Just some yellow wine, to calm his nerves, but not to get himself truly drunk. He eventually mustered the courage to speak with the Highprince. He hadn't had much chance to truly introduce himself at the Initiation, and he wanted to make a good impression. He checked a mirror to make certain everything was in order. When he was satisfied, he strode towards the Highprince's seat. Okay Shinon, try not to make a complete fool of yourself. If anyone wants to bump into Shinon or something, feel free, as he's very focused on figuring out what exactly he's going to say to Dalinar.
  8. Well, I was gonna try to do some RP to go along with some game discussion, but I think I'm too tired to do both, and between the two, game discussion comes much easier to me. Anyways, I don't think it should be too difficult to track Honor, although it may take a bit of time to collect the information. I imagine both villagers and eliminators will try to bond a spren as fast as possible. There's no disadvantage to it that I can see. There's probably 4 or 5 elims, so it's extremely unlikely that all of them will get Spren at one time, so there should always be a couple of them to send in the scan/kill. So I don't think we can learn too much from who gets Spren, though I do agree that if someone loses a spren, we should investigate, even though it'll probably be more likely they lost it due to some other reason than them being an Unjust using one of their faction powers(because why give up your spren just to use one action?). I don't agree that we should definitely be that suspicious of that person because of that though. I assumed that it doesn't restrict the entire faction, but I guess it's a good idea to get confirmation. As for game advice, only thought I've had so far is that a bunch of us maybe should go for the Dustbringer Spren(kill role) so the Unjust have a smaller chance to get it. Obviously they'd only get 2 kills with it before they lost the power, but if a village got the power, then we'd at least have the chance of hitting an Unjust while keeping the Unjust from taking out threats. So if you're really undecided about what to go for, it might not be a bad idea to put some of your Honor towards that Order.
  9. Whew, that was close! Great game everyone! I always love it when it gets really close like that. Thanks for running the game Sheep and Doc! It was pretty hectic, but I thought that made it even funner.
  10. Signing up as Shinon. When Shinon heard that there was to be a testing for new Radiants, he could hardly contain his excitement. The Knights Radiant were returning, and he had a chance to join them! He'd just been a youth when he'd joined Highprince Roion's army. He'd been looking for excitement and intrigue, well, it seemed his time had finally come. If he could become a Radiant, he'd be right in the middle of everything. Oh, he'd enjoyed learning the bow and going on the occasional skirmish against the Parshendi on the Shattered Plains, but it just hadn't been enough for him. He'd been so excited for the testing, he'd had trouble sleeping the night before. When he woke, he knew he'd overslept. He quickly dressed and rushed out of his room, almost knocking a few other soldiers down in his haste. I better not have missed it. Storm Aran, he knew how much I was looking forward to this. He made it just in time to see Dalinar introducing a man named Lomot as an Initiate. It was difficult to tell in the sunlight, but it appeared that the man was glowing slightly. A golden cloak floated down from...somwhere and Highprince Kholin tied it to the Initiate. "Impressive, isn't it? Though the cape floating down from the sky seemed like a little much to me." Shinon turned and saw Aran standing next to him. "So, are you gonna get in line or stand there gawking like an idiot?" Aran said, smiling ever so slightly. Aran had been his best friend since the moment he'd been assigned to Roion's archers. They'd always treated the war with the Parshendi as a game, even keeping score to see who could kill the most Parshendi. Aran was leading by 3 right now, but only because he'd stolen some of Shinon's arrows during the battle at the Tower. "I was not gawking." Shinon grumbled. "And yes, I am going to get in line, no thanks to you." He shot Aran a glare, but he seemed distracted by something and didn't notice. "What about you? Aren't you going to give it a shot?" "Already tried. Guess I'm not good enough for 'em." Aran said, turning away just a bit. "Oh...I see." Shinon said awkwardly. "Sorry." "Nah, it's okay. I do just fine as I am. All that glowing would probably keep me up at night anyways." Aran said, chuckling. Shinon had been friends with him long enough to know that he was disappointed that he hadn't been chosen. "Enough about that, you better hurry up. You overslept and now you're letting all the glory get taken." "You're right! We can't have that." Shinon said with a smile. "Wish me luck. I'll try and keep my glowing to a minimum when I make it," he said with a wink. Then he turned and joined the others waiting their turn to see if they were worthy to join the ranks of the Knights Radiant. Shinon's palms were sweating as he watched others fail, while a smaller percentage succeeded in breathing in the stormlight. He'd never been anyone important. The third son of an unimportant lighteyes. He couldn't let this opportunity to actually do something worthwhile slip away. Finally, his turn came. He nervously climbed the steps and faced Dalinar Kholin, the Blackthorn. "Speak the words," the Highprince commanded. Shinon's vision fuzzed for a moment and his mouth went dry. He swallowed, and calmed himself. "Life before Death. Strength before Weakness. Journey before Destination," Shinon said, his voice sounding distant in his ears. "Breathe deep, and we'll know if your heart is true," the Highprince said as he held out an infused sphere. Breathe. Right, that's what I've been forgetting to do, Shinon thought. He took a deep breath, and suddenly the world snapped back into focus. He felt as if he were in a Highstorm. No, as if the Highstorm were inside of him. He looked to the Highprince with wonder. "What is your name?" Dalinar asked. "Shinon, Brightlord." Shinon said. The Highprince nodded and announced him to the crowd. He'd done it. He was a Knight Radiant! Or, he was going to be. He'd heard that this was only the first step to becoming a true Knight Radiant. Whatever hardships were to come though, he felt he could overcome anything with this newfound power. He joined the other Initiates, and settled down to wait for his new training to begin.
  11. Nothing was right anymore. They'd searched for the evidence that he was sure they'd find, but it appeared that Stick just wasn't one of the Double Agents. So, Justin ran. After a little while, he started gasping for breath, but he kept running. He'd been receiving so many messages lately, he'd begun to gain weight, so running was getting a lot more difficult. It was all that Mi9's fault. They'd been forcing him to eat every single message, each one a new flavor, many he couldn't even describe they were so grotesque. So he ran. He ran and he ran until he came upon a lonely sheep in the middle of a clearing in the woods. Justin didn't move. He'd heard that Sheep were the most dangerous ninjas in the entire world. Maybe, just maybe, if he could get the Sheep to think that he was on it's side, he could learn it's ways and become a true master of sabotage. Then he'd have the power he needed to defeat these Double Agents that plagued the Agency. He slowly dropped his weapons to show he meant no harm and waited. The Sheep didn't move. It just, stared back at him. Well, looks like it wants to test my patience. Might as well get comfortable, Justin thought as he sat down slowly on the ground.
  12. Bzzzt. Justin shot awake with a feeling that something was wrong. It was his watch. The Agency had sent him a message. They only use the watch for extreme emergencies. He opened the message, and knew that things were going to be messy. Smith had been killed, and there was information that Double Agents had infiltrated the Agency. They'd narrowed down where the Double Agents could be to 15 Agents. His mission was to find out which of them were traitors. The message deleted itself after 30 seconds. There was only one thing to do. He had to change location. If there were Double Agents, he'd have to go into deep cover. He hurriedly put his suit on and gathered what gear he could take. He opened his suitcase and began to pack: two pistols with silencers. Sniper rifle, un-assembled. Ammo. Multiple knives. Grenades: gas and flash bang. Lethal and sleep inducing drugs. Wire and rope. Passports. Some Skittles in case he got hungry. That's everything. He'd get more gear when he found a suitable location. For now, he needed to be on the move. Finally, he thought. A mission that might actually prove to be a challenge. Justin walked down the three flights of stairs and through the lobby of his apartment building. As he crossed the street, an explosion sounded behind him and shook the ground. As he stumbled away from it, he turned and saw where it came from. His apartment. So, an attack had already been made on his life. Looks like he'd made it out...just in time. Edit: forgot to add the last part.
  13. I'd like to sign up to run a LG and a QF please.
  14. It was in RP. I went back and found the post but didn't quote it or anything. If you go on his profile, it's on there in most recent posts. And yay! Joe at least thought along the same lines. XD Edit: About halfway down page 22 of the AG3 thread, Jondesu RP's about how we shouldn't waste the lynch on Dalinar. That's the post I'm referring to.
  15. I'm starting to lean towards that theory as well. If their other Mistborn drew Iron that Cycle, we made it painfully obvious a Coinshot should attack Dalinar, so there really wouldn't have been much reason for them not to protect him, since it would sorta misdirect us into thinking they had a Lurcher and delay discussion and Dalinars death like it did. I know this is might make you all roll your eyes, but I'm cooking up a theory that Jondesu may be the other Mistborn. Regardless of whether Wilson's attack/save was a WGG, if Jondesu was the Mistborn who protected Dalinar, but then he drew pewter the very next Night, if they attacked him and he survived, he'd likely never be scanned, he'd gain trust from the village and no one would suspect him of being a Lurcher(because he obviously survived by pewter). Part of the reason I'm giving this serious thought is that he defended Dalinar a few times I think, he seems like a really random kill to make N2, and he sort of tried to use the fact that he was attacked as reason to vote on Hero to begin the 3rd Cycle(maybe trying to get the lynch off of Dalinar?). So yeah, paranoid theory #2 is a go. Thoughts?
  16. Okay, so, since Dalinar was a Spiked Mistborn, my reads that I put up yesterday are more valid now I think and I'm sticking to them. I'm still probably going to go over things again real quick to see if I missed anything important, but here's my reads right now since it might be a while before I do that. My strongest village reads: Arraenae, Arinian, Madagascar. Paranoid village reads: Elenion, Doc, Jondesu, Stick. Spike-y reads: Bugsy, Drake, Wonko, Nyali(probably one of the weakest ones). Conflicting reads: Wilson, Hero, Magestar, Elbereth(just like old times :P). Actually, I could probably put most people on here. I'm not really sure what to think of the players who voted for me last Cycle. I don't strongly suspect any of them right now, I keep going back and forth on most of them, but I think there's a good chance at least one of them was Spiked. As for the vote manipulation, I could see a village Soother cancelling my vote. If there was a Rioter involved though, I'd suspect them of being Spiked(Wonko didn't vote last Cycle *wink wink* the tunnel is real). Mage, you said it doesn't look like Wilson was being Smoked? Her vote is still there, so what makes you say that?
  17. Oooh, profiles. Alv, any chance I could get one of my game profiles as a favor? I did give you Odium during the game after all... You'd be free to choose(though personally I'd like to see the LG21 profile because I played so differently in that one).
  18. First off, that is such a relief. That would have been extremely frustrating if Dalinar had been village. And to echo the others, great write-up yet again Meta! So my vote was Soothed/Rioted I guess. Well at least that shows I wasn't Smoked(unless I am a Rioter, but I'm not). Wilson's vote was not Soothed or Rioted, but there's not a lot of information we can gain from that until we are able to get in contact with any Soothers or Rioters that may have attempted to mess with her vote(I don't advise claiming, at least while PM's are down, because village vote manipulation can be extremely useful, especially late game). As far as we know, no Soothers or Rioters might have seen the plan to act on it. Thanks. That's good to hear. Yes, I am a Lurcher, and no, I did not protect Wilson or Dalinar. Not sure if I agree about the Coinshots. Like you say, even if their attack is blocked, it gives us information(maybe take a closer look at that player for example). It's cool. Getting another Spiked would be great, yeah. XD I'll be sure to look over things a little closer too now that we know Dalinar's alignment/role for sure.
  19. I think she wanted someone to mention @Bugsy6912. In response to Joe, I just RP'd about the attack/save on Wilson because I didn't have a strong opinion about it at that point. I just thought it'd be funny to mess with her about it by "accusing" her through RP of pulling a WGG. I even said in that post that I didn't actually suspect her.
  20. I'm not the Lurcher who protected Dalinar or Wilson and I never confirmed that I was a Lurcher until just now. And yes, that is me claiming Lurcher. Just realized I accidentally revealed I'm not a Soother by asking for my plan with the Soothers and Rioters. >> Figured what the heck, might as well just claim. I've only protected myself, paranoid as I am, plus I've died early in my last few games and wanted to actually have a chance to make a difference this time. So there it is. I'm mildly annoyed at Rae for revealing my claim given it kind of hampers my usefulness, but I'm still of the opinion that she's a villager, so whatever.
