  1. I'm not sure that lynching an inactive right now is such a good idea. We've still got a bunch of time left in the Day which we need to use for discussion. Lynching an inactive at this point doesn't do any good, IMO. Also, like Sart pointed out, it appears Conquestor hasn't even been online since the game started. So it's not like he's lurking. Oh right. Yeah, you could just mark that one down as me being lazy. I don't particularly have an opinion on Rae's advice for Soothers/Rioters, plus I believe Aman tried to get them to do the same thing last AG and I don't think people listened much. So I didn't see it as any kind of problem. Still don't really. As for the rest of her advice, I do agree with it. Lurchers, Coinshots, Thugs, Smokers, and Seekers. I thought all of that was solid and I certainly didn't think she was trying to cause the village any harm by it. As for Nyali, I'll remove my vote I suppose. My paranoid mind could see this large bandwagon on Conquestor in the middle of the Day as trying to save her, but she only had 2 votes and I've got a feeling most(but maybe not all) of the votes on Conq are villagers. I don't have a lot of time right now, but I'll be on later today to try and figure out where to put my vote, since I would like some more legitimate lynch discussion(I am glad about the amount of discussion so far, but I think we can get some more in before we need to decide whether to lynch an inactive/lurker(just please don't let it be about me, that would be the worst )).
  2. Nooooo! I don't like votes on me. Admittedly, I could have gone more in depth about Rae's advice. I guess I just didn't feel the need. I gave my opinion and I think that's enough in this case. Also, I've posted more than just agreeing with other poeple(I agreed with Elbereth slightly but I'm not sure what else you're talking about). I'm considering voting on Nyali because I agree with Arinian that it seemed like she made Rae's advice more evil than it actually was. I guess I will. There we go. Mage, I really don't think that's what she meant. That whole paragraph would be a contradiction. "Active players get offed really early. Elims never kill actives." It doesn't make sense.
  3. I don't really see any maliciousness in Rae's advice post. From either alignment, I think she'd probably give her honest advice. That's what I always do. Why try to give bad advice in the thread when it's D1 and everyone is looking for reasons to suspect people? It's just not a good idea. One thought I had for vote manipulators is that if they wanted to do something useful with their powers, but didn't have a strong opinion about the lynch, they could Riot/Soothe random poke votes or whatnot to test and see if someone was Smoked the previous Night. Could lead to some interesting stuff(hopefully good stuff but probably only terrible things that will get me killed for suggesting this knowing my luck. Like, say someone tried to move Wilson's vote and she was Smoked and then the village gets riled up and kills her because of that and then she turns out to be a villager and then someone points out that I was the one to suggest doing it in the first place which obviously means I was trying to get Wilson killed which would end up with me potentially dying and that would just be sad.) Oh boy, I made it on Joe's list! Woooo! Guess I'm okay then.
  4. *kicks cat over a house* "That's the third time this month. Why does everything bad have to happen to me?" (glad you've finally joined a game ) Edit: Oh, some advice for Seeker(s) that Rae didn't say is that you should be careful about scanning people who have been suggested in the thread. If the Spiked have a Smoker, they could Smoke that person and your scan would be wasted. Other than that, Rae's advice looked good to me.
  5. Well, there's 34 players, which means we've got what, 6-8 Spiked and I don't think there's that many new players around. Plus Wilson never posted during the Night. So I think it's safe to say that some of the elims know of her, otherwise why go after her specifically when she's not even been posting or anything. It certainly is an interesting kill, but I'm not sure exactly what to make of it yet. I kind of agree with Elbereth I guess. I'm mostly just glad I'm alive. Life is unfair but death on N0/N1 is even worse.
  6. The new day brought new problems. Sothe made his way to the dining hall to get some breakfast only to hear that Whistler and his shop had been attacked during the night. "That's terrible!" he exclaimed. "Unless...were there any witnesses? It could be that he's one of these...these Spiked, and he just burned his own shop to make us think he's innocent! If only I was still living on the streets! I could have been there. Herwynbe must be an accomplice as well, luring us all to his home so they could set up this dastardly plot! How could I have been so foolish to just let a stranger give me something for free?" ------------------------ Those aren't legitimate suspicions, I just get reminded of WGG's every time someone gets saved, especially when it's Wilson.
  7. As Sothe was skulking about, he noticed a large gathering of people huddled together around something. Perfect. Those pockets look ripe for the picking, he thought as he slowly made his way to the crowd. With his hand relieving some poor fool of their gold, he caught a few muffled words coming from the center of the group. Koloss? Ruin? What was all that nonsense? He slipped his way closer to hear a bit more details, and saw a glimpse of the mangled messenger. He stumbled away, suddenly uncaring about all the potential goods he could steal. This can't be happening. Koloss attacking? Why here? Why now? "Of course there's rusting Koloss attacking," he muttered. "Of course there'd be a dead guy in this tiny village the day you arrive. That's just how your life goes. Lord Ruler, this is insane." He'd have to leave. But which way to go? Had the man said which way the Koloss were coming from? No, he hadn't heard anything like that. What else could be done? There had to be something. The crowd was quieted by a man offering lodgings and food. A place to stay while they figured out what to do. Well, I guess that's something, Sothe thought as he followed the man. Better to spend what could be my last days in warmth and with food in my belly. Contribution Crusade! Woo!
  8. Usually I like to have Day 1 lynches because it makes a good starting point for the next couple Cycles, but, it's almost the end of the Cycle(for me, it probably is as I'm going to sleep and probably won't be around when the Cycle ends ) and I don't see any good lynch targets. 1. I don't have any suspicions big enough to want to lynch. 2. There hasn't been any players focused on in discussion that we would want to lynch for information. And 3. I don't want to risk hitting a teammate right now. Sorry I wasn't much help this Cycle. I just kept getting distracted by different things and never got the time to sit down and really analyze anything. I jotted down some "feelings" for some players, but those are probably worthless. If I survive this Cycle, I'll try to help get the 2nd Cycle off to a fast start if I can. @Conquestor, I'd appreciate it if you removed the vote on me(unless you actually want to lynch me). If I remember correctly there's some vote manipulations in this game and if they happen to be in the Diagrammists hands, I'd hate to end up getting lynched by a harmless poke vote.
  9. I haven't read over all of the posts yet sorry. I'll get something up by the end of the day though, for sure. I got a little bit of a bad vibe from Silverblade I think, but eh, not really sure.
  10. Just acknowledging I've seen this mostly. >> I understand that later you explain your reasoning is just that you have a "bad feeling" about me, but that's still extremely difficult to respond to. What exactly makes you suspicious of me? I honestly haven't seen a valid argument for why I'm suspicious(I mean, I'm totally biased so most arguments aren't going to seem valid to me, but this lynch really seems weak to me). This is the second time you've said this exact thing. "If this person is good, we can kill the players who lynched them." You said that about me(a villager, but, no proof sadly) and Sheep(definitely a villager when he did that) when we lynched Joe(villager when that happened) and now you're saying it again. It's like, you're helping the lynch by letting it happen(or even voting on the player this time) and then saying that their death condemns others but not you. It makes me suspect you're trying to get a chain of villagers lynched. Thanks. I'd be perfectly happy getting scanned to put any doubts to rest though. Now, I'm moving my vote to Magestar. I'm still confused/suspicious about Elenion's reasoning for suspecting me/Kas/Alv, and don't agree with it at all, but I think I kinda took it a little too personally. I've been suspicious of Elenion for his aggressive behavior in a bunch of other games, and he's turned out to be village most of those times. So, while I wouldn't really be against lynching him, I can't say I really believe he's a 17th Sharder because of all this. I'm more confused than anything(and a little upset I'll admit), because I just don't understand why he's insistent on lynching me. Anyways, if I have to, I'll switch my vote back, but I feel like Mage is a more likely candidate for a 17th Sharder at this point(and if he is, I think it's highly unlikely Elenion is one as well). Aaand ninja'd. Well that kind of makes the votes weird. Bleeeeh, I need sleep. I'm gonna sleep on it and see what the votes look like when I wake up.
  11. I've been debating whether to join this or not, but I don't think I can pass this one up. Sign me up as Lopon, a scholarly fellow with a crippling fear of cooks.
  12. Well, I looked over everyone's online times and it appears that every player was online at some point during the Night Turn(though Zephrer was last online only about an hour or 2 into the Night). So I'm not sure what's up with Ruin. But at least Harambe was finally killed. >.> Also, so rude Odium. Devotion had just set up a PM with me in it, then you went and Shattered him. Len, gimme a break man. I was gone for a week and I've been sick for over 2 weeks(not sure if I've mentioned that here though, so whatever). I've been able to keep up, but that's it. I've been back from my trip for what, 2 days? Most of that time I've been in bed. Evasive about the content of my PM's? What? How have I been evasive? There's literally been nothing to speak of. You know what? I'll give you a detailed over view of what happened in the PM made by Devotion. It had me, Sheep, Magestar, Kasimir, Bard, and Jondesu(though he'd just been killed). First reply was by Magestar asking why Devotion made the PM with so many players. Then Sheep replied saying he wasn't sure if anyone besides Bard had asked for a PM. Next was me, saying I wanted a PM after I was back from my trip. Then Kas with a little blurb. Then Mage with a blurb. Then Kas with a suggestion that Devotion made the PM based off of active players or something. Then Mage with another blurb. Then Kas talking about Endowment. After that, Kas and Mage just discussed some small things that aren't really that relevant/could be sensitive information that I don't think I should say. Your suspicion of me based on the kill distribution just feels contrived. Odium has no reason to kill active players. He's supposed to kill Shards. So I'm not sure why it's such a surprise he's not been killing active players each Cycle. What we need to figure out is how he figured out that Sheep and Conquestor were Shards(I think it's a bit of a stretch to call it a coincidence that he's gotten 2 Shards in a row). I feel like you're just making up reasons to suspect me. And since I don't really have any good suspects right now, Elenion.
  13. Looks like my first action after coming home from vacation will be to defend myself. So, yeah, just got back, so I'll have constant internet and I can use my laptop again. I think I already explained before, but I've been gone for the past week and was only able to get online by "borrowing" my sister's phone at random times. I was in a PM made by Devotion, but only for 1 Cycle and Conquestor wasn't in it. There were about, 5 or 6 players in it I think and it was shut down after only 1 Cycle(I think). Other than that, I've only been on Sel, which has me, Alv, and Rubiks. Stick was on it on C1, but worldhopped away.
  14. Made it to the hotel! So I'll respond to everything I feel I should now. First, Joe's post where he voted on me. If he really was Culty, sorry, but there's 10 Shards out of 26 players, so the fact that I voted on him isn't really grounds to accuse me of "knowing" he's a Shard. I also wasn't trying to lead a bandwagon on him. I thought that it was possible he made a slip, so I pointed it out and put my vote on him. I was purposely trying not to be too aggressive, because I know I get tunnel-y sometimes and can be lynch happy as well. Second post I want to respond to is the one where Joe said that I wouldn't lynch him over that. I was actually the very first vote on him, so it wasn't like my vote was sealing his death or anything. If I was able to get on before the Day ended, I might have removed my vote(especially with Joe being upset). Of course, as Alv pointed out, Joe could have saved himself or even killed me, which is weird. I'm not sure why he didn't do that. Well, I suppose that's all I wanted to respond to. If Joe is village, I hope he can be revived. I'm hoping we can get it confirmed whether he was Culty or not soon though, since that will determine whether he should be or not.
  15. Errr, right. Don't have a lot of time, but I'll explain a bit more I suppose. On one hand, the 17th Shard only has conversions opposed to kills, so I'm assuming they're gonna have 2 to 4 conversions, and since there's 26 players to begin with, a regular eliminator team would be around 5 players. However, conversions can be a lot more powerful than having started with 5 players by GM distribution, since they can choose who they want when they want. Anyways, my thought process is that it's a bit risky for the 17th Shard to only start with one player in case something goes wrong early and then the 17th Shard is destroyed in like, 1 Cycle, hence me putting forward that I think it's possible Hoid started with 1 or 2 flunkies(and since Hoid is the center of the 17th Shard team, he's obviously gonna be around already). So if there's only 1 or 2 17th Shard members right now, then it's pretty unlikely either of them would be any sort of focus on a Day 1 lynch, so not only is it unlikely we'd lynch an eliminator, it's unlikely it will be useful for discussion later on. However, I thought Joe's mix-up of who was on Threnody could point to him being a 17th Shard member and if he is, then we'd know that another one of them is on Threnody(one of Elodin, Sart, or Conquestor) and we'd gain a significant advantage over the 17th Shard right from the start. I feel like that's kind of jumbled and not very coherent. >.> But it's all I can do for now. Last post on my laptop, have to use mobile for the next week.
  16. Thanks for running the game Hael! I wasn't able to participate in the thread for very long, but I still had some fun trying to work things out in the dead doc. Congrats to the elims(no hard feelings for that C1 kill), and good job Nyali and JUQ for surviving. I also thought the item system added some extra fun as well. I was looking forward to my bottle of win from Len...instead, I got a knife in the back.
  17. I think I'd be more willing to believe you had you made some sort of comment about it once Sart revealed Elodin was on Threnody. Because it looks like you were trying to sweep it under the rug by staying silent about it until I point it out(which isn't necessarily an eliminator only thing to do, but it doesn't help me trust you any).
