  1. Add Dyrri, the hatmaker. his shop, filled with hats of different shapes and colours smell of a multitude of chemicals as well as that of the tears of edgli, few can stand to be in there for long. Not just because of the smell, dyrri is decidedly unstable sometimes, and noone want to end up the same....
  2. Argent Arrives at the warcamp? Him being exchanged after arriving to the warcamp a possibility?
  3. I like Tempus thing, that Harkyiyiy(damnation name;)) might have written a book of predictions or something. Besides, there was 101 desolation right? Might remember wrong, but it was alot of them. Now, how long ago was the shattering of adonalsium I wonder? for there to be 100 years between each, it would be 10000 years (+ the years after the final desolations) I doubt it could have been that long. Some of the desolations must have been closer eachother then others. And healing would make them longer lived anyway. In the tech level of Roshar at that point, what would be the average age? 50-ish if you survived childhood? With perfect health from stormlight, 100+ should be fairly common.
  4. The main cause ppl see holdings stormlight more like holding breaths then feruchamical gold is, well, just that. You hold stormlight. Its something thats constant, in a way if you keep it in you. Feruchemical gold is something you use. Feruchemical gold would haveto heal ageing. Stormlight would just stop cellular decay, same as breaths wich dont make you younger if you get them at extreme age(right?). Two different things, and where stormlight acts more like breaths.
  5. It might be simple enough that they dont age while they hold enough stormlight. Like you dont age if you hold enough breath. But as said, ithe harkaiyiyiyi fellow might not have been human. Its also possible that regrowth or some other surge lessens aging, that its not the stormlight itself. Its also possible that sometimes, the desolations came closer to eachother. Perhaps then they were less bad? So its long peace followed by bad desolation, or short peace with lesser desolations?
  6. I was gonna write somethng here, but then I saw what Kurk wrote, and well. No point in writing it twice? She simply was not bonded during the recreance, she was bonded earlier . Possibly several times.
  7. There would be no point in turning into that if it was just to die. There must be another point, or else they would just die still in chull shape. And several pupations? They go from larvae/cremling(top pic) to chull(mid pick) in one. Is there any info claiming they have several pupations beyond that? I cant recall seing any. Larvae and chull look very different from eachothers. Point being, senescence looks very different from the pupating on that picture. I think first senescence picture is the waiting while cremlings/larvae grows, and second senescence is where they come out (top part looks wierd, almost like a flower)
  8. Lift needs to eat up alot. Get a little bit fat. Be nice if things go wrong. Looots of awesomness.
  9. Regarding the whole "radiants cause the desolations" theories, a few holes in it. 1. There was desolations before there was radiants. It was a suprise to honor when the sprens bonded humans. 2. Jezrien, when the 9 heralds abandon their honorblades/duties, Jezrien states "they have the Radiants, it will be enough" or something simular(book loaned out, recruiting new fans;)) Why would he say that if the radiants caused the desolations? We´re missing something. A big piece of the puzzle.
  10. I think some of the editing atributed to the vorinism is actually from the sunmaker(did I remember name wrong here?), the dude who defeated them. The victor writes the histories, and how better to destroy stuff he didnt want along then blaming it on the great evil he had defeated?
  11. Nicely done! Personally, Id think it would need either a wider base, or perhaps that it is not quite that high. this to give larger "gardens" on the balkonies. and yeah, oathgates prolly need to be a tad larger. It was several thousand men alive still(dont remember exact number, that fit on the plateu all together, and with armour and stuff, more then perhaps 3 ppl per m2? 50 meter in diameter = 500 m2. 1500 ppl perhaps, if tightly packed. But it was uneven ground too wasent it? That would mean some area wasted so need more then. so Id think abit bigger.
  12. Brandon mentioned all the then flashback chars if I remember right. I know Talenel the herald was to get a book later. And Kaladin was suposed to get two flashback books.
  13. But its alot easier to spell things correctly if you are the one who is making the name up!
  14. Its possible a radiant can form the plate from stormlight, shape it. Maybe while out in a highstorm to have unlimited(or close enough) stormlight? Then once formed, its possible to be removed as the current plates were. That might come from one of the later oaths.
  15. The last stage, I would assume new larvae/chull cremlings come out of it? Anyone got a better idea? That would mean chull does not have genders, and there is no mixing of DNA, each new chull are clones of their parent? or?
  16. RIT If the were baby greatshells, it seems unlikely that there should be dead larkins resonably often (since thats what the islanders trade away) I mean, sure, some might get sick or something, but still. They should pupate then, not end up dead while still a larkin.
  17. Moogle: Well, I take it your not religious yourself then, as the same ignoring kidnapping murder etc argument on Sazed could be made for all the religions worshipping an omnipotent god . Stronger even, as they would know all the results of their actions, sazed can only see so far into the future. You might be a hindu thou I guess;) And love the flower name! and the months too. Wich twelve then? Vin we know, Kelsier, breeze, Ham, Clubs, dockson. Elend already got the city, but maybe anyway? Who more, tensoon? some of clubs aprentices? Marsh, the rebel leader(blackout, forgotten name;)), Demoux maybe?. Whos the rest of the month´s you think?
  18. There have been some talking about it. Most agree with you. Hoid almost certainly swapped the blades. As to exactely when and where, likely while talenel was transported to the Shattered plains. Why? Its hoid, it might be anything from Hoid wanting to keep it safe, to it having a part of investiture that Hoid wants for his collection :/
  19. Adolin killing Sadeas was not in the shattered plains thou, he had moved to Urithuru(spelling;)). So he shouldent feel the thrill then. If he did, then the spren had run fast halfway to shinovar by that time;)
  20. Or to put it simpler. When he have the capacity to save the world, he propably doesent care if the world gets destroyed. All the capacity in the world does not matter if he does not use it for the cause he hopes when he got it. And either way, intelligence alone is not enough. No matter how godlike the intellect, with faulty input you will still end up dead wrong. Wich is why genius-T can easily setup the takeover of another realm(Jah keved), but he do not know enough about desolations to make the propability calculations correctly.
  21. I have long believed the parshendi to be the original inhabitants along with the crustaceans, I thought this was the standard belief? Either Roshar evolved on its own, or created by Adonalsium, can buy that. Makes sense since there are adonalsium sprens. Might well be more like that out there, the shards jumped in and messed things up
  22. There is some problems with there being only one highstorm that needs to be solved. First, why does the amount of time between highstorms differ? If it was only one it should always hit with the same time inbetween. Secondly, the stormfather created/rushed the last highstorm so that it came during the weeping. How did he do this, if there is only one? Not saying that there isnt jsut one - just saying those thngs need to be sovled;)
  23. Im leaning towards that when Mr T was at his most brilliant, he was also on his most murderous. I think he might have decided that it was indeed the parshendi who was here first, and humans should be defeated. The joke is on him if thats the case. He asked for the capacity to save humanity. But ended up not wanting to save humanity when the capacity arrived. Ofcourse, he do not remember that now. But he is working towards the defeat of humanity by ways of the Diagram.
  24. Getting stabbed in the heart dont kill you instantly anyway. There was a case near where I live 20 years ago where a man got stabbed in the heart, yet managed to run over 100 meters before dying(attempting to flee from his killer). So being able to breath in some stormlight while the assasins ran to bash on Shallans door, and transport away dont seem impossible.
  25. wasent there a wob that someone sufficently skilled in bronze might be able to sense feruchemy, or did I dream that up?
