  1. Consider the chapters set up by Tor. Shallan becoming betrothed to Adolin. Now, Shallan is from low nobility(compared to Adolin). Her family faces bankruptcy. She have some rather powerful enemies. Yet Navani suggests/agrees that she is to be betrothed to Adolin. I can see no other reason than that she was told by Jasnah that Shallan too can learn what Jasnah can. That Navani knows what Jasnah is becoming. What she can do. And Navani is listening to Dalinars visions. She was almost eager to believe them. I think this is a big reveal, but have she then told Jasnah of Dalinars visions? Im think propably not. But its almost impossible that she will not let them know of eachothers.... special circumstances. Opinions?
  2. point being was discussion last time, many got convinced to voting at gravy, who turned out to be innocent. Now there is alot of talk, and now its starting to swing towards edgar. I´m pretty sure hes going to turn out to be innocent aswell...... Same mistake twice in a row if you switch to edgar. And the reason for suspecting kukri and Gamble is simple. I think Beetle is spiked. I´m close to certain. And if beetle is spiked, there is a good reason to suspect those who strongly defend him, you surely all agree to this(to clarify, in the hypothetical situation that beetle is spiked.) (and damnation long arguments, seriously;))
  3. Shardlet yeah, just thinking that it would be some sense in those planets being near in shadesmare since theyr alot closer outside shadesmar, being in the same solar system. But I guess they may be one of the other expances. Densities... Mistborn would make sense, being a magic system built around metals. Sel maybe, magic being tied to geography, wich could be seens as shifting densities of matter.
  4. Dyring is still voting for Beetle for execution no. 2 But Edgar came forward while beetle had more votes then himself. He had a good chance at getting away anyway. Would be a silly risk. Beetle just came forward cause he had several votes on himself already. Innkeeper Dyring gets more and more agitade as there is talking of letting his object of (lately murderous) dislike getting away. "You are all a daft lot. Yeasterday you got hoodwinkled into voting for that poor stupid sod who got is head chopped off. Now you´r getting fooled again, talking about swapping to save the worthless little nogood creature. E needs to be removed, before he manages to kill us all!"
  5. Noticed one thing. Navani seem to know about Jasnah´s soulcasting/shadesmaring(nice word that;)) She wouldent consider Adolin marrying some daughter to a minor bankrupt house with powerful enemies for no reason right? So likely Jasnah could tell her about her having special abilities. Thats interesting.
  6. If the expanses are that... One wonders about the other planets in the system. Shouldent they be on there too? atleast one was inhabited right?
  7. If Beetle gambled on Gamble was a regular... welll. Either both are spiked, in wich case it was an attempt to both strengthen himself, and protect a fellow spiked. No gamble. If not, well, its good odds. Or, perhaps the mistborn is spiked, and drew copper, and checked Gamble out, knowing he was a regular. About odds, Smoker and tineye dead. He would know edgar was seeker. 1 regular. 13 left alive. Thug, soother, rioter, coinchot, lurcher. 4-5 regulars. 50/50. decent odds. More if mistborn drew copper and checked someone else out.
  8. If we kill beetle and hes actually a seeker, then we got the first confirmation of regular villager(that is still alive), that is gamble, and we are 99% sure that Edgar is spiked. If we kill beetle and hes a spiked, then we are 99% sure that gamble is spiked and Edgar is a seeker. In addition Kukri are very likely to be spiked. Both good results tbh.
  9. And if two non-spiked dies today instead of someone who is the most likely to be spiked, how many are then left? You tactic is to wait with killing those most likely to be spiked. The more we wait, the closer to equal numbers do the spiked come. We started with 14 people, guesses are 4 was spiked. A minimum 3 I´d say. We are now 11, no spiked have been killed. So likely 7-4 If we wait as you wish, its good odds we have 1-3 dead propably non-spiked. Saying 2 thats makes 5-4. Then you want to wait a second day on that... Even if your way works and we know who´s spiked then, its to late. We have lost when there are more spiked then non-spiked. *edit - Just to simplify for counters, I voted Beetle earlier, sticking to that.
  10. Cant pick. Agriculture or language.
  11. I doubt the shadesmere thing was as short as that. Liss pointed out Jasnah was late. They didnt exaktely have precice watches, would she have nticed if Jasnah was just a few minutes late? More likely a longer time for her to comment on it.
  12. Or.. Beetle´s claiming to be seeker might not work, so he asked Kukri to help his fellow spiked! We know to 99% that either beetle or Edge is spiked. Beetle seems way more likely. Dyrings list of suspicions 1. Beetle (first turn vote was really just cause I didnt know who to pick on, so picked one who wasent likely to get enough votes;). Then I kept on it with the Rp about whipping while waiting for more info. The talk about several of the Gravy voters being spiked made it more likely, but still nothing that great. Seeker mess made it very likely. lots of attempted saves coming up once votes are beginning to tick in.... VERY likely. 2. Used to be mat, due to all the votes popping up on Gravy seemingly to save him. But Kukri just vent by up to second. 3. Mat 4. Edge (mostly in the unlikely case Beetle isnt. And frankly, doing Kukri´s math, we are liklely to lose 2 villagers if we wait, and it will be quite near to as many live spiked as regulars...
  13. Its not so odd that Gavilar would be good thou. consider Dalinars spectacular plate skills, and that he have since Gavilars death started acting like Gavilar. It is not impossible that Gavilar was on the way towards radianthood himself. And even if not, Gavilar had been fighting a bunch of wars in that plate. If he wasent good, he´d likely not be alive. He must have faced a bucnh of other platewearer. Another hint that Gavilar was good is that Dalinar pre gavilars death considers Gavilar to be the only one who could have been a challenge.
  14. the innkeeper was taken aback somewhat by the late claims. "Phaw, beggar boy is saying whatever he can to get away from the large amount of votes wich are heading his way." He then glances towards gambles "And when beetle ends up spiked as I am sure he will, we know he wanted to protect gamble." He then hesistantly adds "and should he be innocent, almost impossible thou it is, we know the other claimant is a saboteur."
  15. Dyring grumbles angrily 'Wisened up finaly have you lot? I told you about that beggar already yesterday. Filthy creature, thieving and trying to sneak in here all the time without buying anything. He is up to no good I tell you! Where is that little despiccable saboteur? I'll give him a good bashing if hes in here fouling up my fine inn again ' dyring votes for beetle again. *edit - GM I think they meant you should tell de one who was attacned that he was targeted and saved by the lurcher if you hadent already. Not that you should telm him who the lurcher was;) *edit 2 - just put some bold to the vote;)(since adding color is filled with bugs for me, and messy to add;)
  16. I really want to read Wor....
  17. My memory on the subject is fuzzy, but wasent there supposed to be ten "anti-heralds" ? Wouldent killing those who could become radiants be a sensible occupation for them?
  18. I got the same problem btw. And I havent had a crash or such. I do have a problem with windows update meaning I do not have the latest update installed. Not being able to quote is the most annoying part;). But I havent quite bothered to look into it yet;)
  19. ooc - there was the mention of a note for me before the last narrative post(by little Wilson I think), but I did not recieve a pm nor anything else that I could see. Something I missed? Vote for beetle the urchin. Cleaning his inn, dyring gossips with those arriving, seeming to shift in suspicion from one to another. "Killed by knifes he was. We got someone who keeps walking around with knifes all the time. I´m just sayin." "Outsiders, we don´t know them, like that wanderer. Noone knows what he might have done before." "Or that little beggar. Surely no sensible working man would kill someone like the doctor, and in such a terrible way? I always thought that urchin had a mean look." With every sample of gossiping, he seem to get more nervous, until he looks suspiciously at everyone. "Maybe its many, but surely that little urchin beetle is one of em. He should die. Its not much of a loss if it ent him anyway."
  20. Dyring glares at the guests with added suspicion before he walks over and locks the door to the cellar wich holds what is to his mind the towns most valuable treasure, the inns liquorstore.
  21. Regarding who I agreed with... Ya... I wrote the part about simularity with Kurk after writing the first line, then came to think of memories filled in by the unconcious, and added that later;). Thus it got wierd:)
  22. Perhaps he remembers the exact same image, but he can tell exaktly what the colour is now? Or for all we know, perhaps he simply assumes, his mind "fills in the blanks" since now that he have the ability to se colour perfectily, it is unable to let him see "an average colour" without exact hues? If you got a memory of your first bike, but cant recall the colour, if your told the colour it is sometimes added to the bike in your memory... the mind adds what your told unconciously, wether it is correct or not. (Guess thats close to what Kurk said)
  23. A few things. firstly, There should be a range issue shouldent there? How far do you think it goes? And is it enough for one shade to be near for it to spread to those out of range? If not, the range gotto be really huge. Since it is ok the shed blood inside of a bag as silence shows, would perhaps, inside of a house be safe aswell if there are no shades inside? If so it would be ok to kill animals inside the inn, since all shades(except the pet one in the shrine) are kept a decent distance outside by the silver. But then, if that was the case, Silence would have no cause to be so concerned after the child accidentically fired a crossbow almost hitting her. (Unless was not counting on it, or didnt know. She does say that only a fool ignores the simple rules when they think they are safe.) It would be wierd if a bag stopped the effect of blood spilled, but being inside a house did not. also, silver stops shades but are hurt doing so. Then, do you think the shades are actually hurt or just repelled? If they are really hurt, it should be possible to kill/destroy them. Will that world run out of silver, or can it perhaps be purified somehow?
  24. 1. Mistborn, The final empire. propably my current favorite among all authors. 2. Elantris - this one actually got me hooked on Sandersson, bought this when I found out Brandon would be finishing WoT. Loved it. Might hold it higher then I otherwise would as it was the first, but This post has been reported for attempting to skirt the rules, thats an ok reason;) 3. I hate dragons. I love this one. Thou it only barely won before Defending Elysium and Way of kings. Firstborn is good too. And well, so are the rest of em... .
