  1. ...And now i want brownies....like really badly......and I'm on a sugar detox thanks Twi, I'm hungry >.<
  2. Was it ever asked if Vasher/Zahel could attract a spren if he suppresses his Divine Breath? Or even suppressed would it cause far too much interference?
  3. I honestly don't mind family dinners and gatherings. (Yummy food is always a great distraction but the problem is there is never enough of it) I usually just wander between groups *storyofmylife* due to growing bored because of uninteresting conversation. I'll typically stick around though for a few words here and there, sipping my tea, making myself useful by clearing up or just preferring to sit and listen as the women of the family steer the conversation to whichever topic is most prevalent
  4. Hard to say. I like it, especially as it fits the name of Dustbringers (not so much Releasers though, unless you 'release the agreement between friends' as Syl phrases it) but I think their powers of this Order are more intertwined than the other Orders. EDIT: On giving it more thought, Releasers could use Abrasion to excite the molecules, causing the bonds to become strained with the excess energy then use Division to free those bonds, causing the bonds to break/explode. (Granted, this isn't how chemical bonds work, but I like to kayana sometimes)
  5. I know this will sound uber weird, but i actually like Thanos
  6. Well, to parallel this, I don't know the words to God Save the Queen. I used to know them back in primary school (that's elementary school to you Americans) but now I only the song name. I don't think the majority do to be fair. Nor do I see any real need to re-learn them. I'd much rather be singing Galantis - Peanut Butter Jelly
  7. My opinion is this 1. Not sure, Possibly Nalthis 2. Possibly Scadrial (reasoning being due to it's Shadesmar expanse name and that the mists are opaque gas/fog/smokey) 3. No clue 4. I'm agreeing this matches Roshar...that or Yolen given the origins of Lightweaving 5. Leaning toward this more for Nalthis, given it matches up quite a lot 6. Not quite sure. Given Haemalurgy's universal nature (+ the speculation that any planetary foci could be used as a power stealer). Possibly Sel given the geneaology/geographical requirement. Or perhaps a Shardworld we haven't seen based around liquids 7. Possibly Yolen given Ym's Interlude dialogue 8. Possibly Sel 9. I haven't a clue on this one 10. Primarily leaning towards Sel. Heliodor translates roughly from Greek as 'Sun-Gift'; given this is Ishar's number, the bonds you have form with Devotion/Dominion matter strongly with the magic systems, as well the the correlation between the Primary/Secondary attributes (speculation). The magic seems to manifest effects in the meat/flesh It all depends on your perspective. Do we have any confirmation that the minor shardworlds are included in this?
  8. I'm too philosophically grey to offer a concrete opinion of the word 'Honour' but there is a perspective from Tad Williams' Memory, Sorrow and Thorn that comes to mind which reflects a theme present in SA. I can't remember the exact passage but it is along the lines of the King duelling an expert swordsman and an, by dictionary definition's term, Honourable champion of another country. He manages to overpower the King but doesn't kill him because it goes against his code of honour (I think it was because the King was disarmed) thereby allowing the King enough time to counterstrike somehow and win. The King then states something along the lines of how honour is but a tool/end to a means. Although, the only idea that really fits my sense of 'honour' is Blood-Oaths. Granted a bit outdated (and somewhat extreme), but to me, you wouldn't swear one unless the matter was of utmost crucial importance anyway (marriage and the like).
  9. For what it is worth, I would like to leave the Universe/Solar system...more for curiousity's sake than anything. Hope you feel better, sending e-hugs
  10. So, I actually managed to make progress on my TEFL assessment stuff (I have 12% of a lesson plan....ok more like 90%) but this companion essay i have to do still seems like a mountain which still seems odd, as I usually like essays (my friends always used to come to me for help with essays >.>) but...storms, it is only 1000-1500 words so it isn't even that bad >..> And I'm still mildly freaking out about my upcoming travels. I feel like i'll never be ready, even though I'm a really adaptable person. Storms, 55 days (why do i feel as if i'm predicting the Everstorm...and I just realised how appropriate a metaphor that is)
  11. The constantine feels man
  12. I don't believe we do, as almost any attempt at getting info is RAFO'd. Although it makes sense to me. Seeing as he's (supposedly) a member of the 17th Shard (perhaps even a leader/high ranking member) and they seem to advocate a policy of non-intervention (mostly) it makes sense that he wouldn't worldhop
  13. My headcanon is that Lopen is a squire, but that doesn't necessarily mean he won't/can't become a Surgebinder/KR. After all, if you manage to become a Squire for the Windrunners then you're already following their strict/rigid ethos to a certain degree so it is possible that you could attract an Honourspren in due course. I do agree that it isn't 100% confirmed but the in-book text seems to lean that way. It would help if we had more specifics on Squires (like what is required to form that secondary bond between the Radiant and the Squires-to-be and does it vary between Orders?) On the topic of Radiant Oaths/leveling up, I always thought of it as they would have access to most, if not all the powers available to their order but the base strength is locked for each level and will only increase as they progress through the Oaths (become more efficient in Stormlight consumption etc.) As for the qualm about Stormlight healing Lopen's arm right away, it is possible that Stormlight is just plain efficient at restoring the Physical aspect to match the Spiritual aspect (similarly to
  14. Unmade are typically alluded to when referring to the Parshendi gods. We can't be too sure of Gavilar's motives at this moment as he calls out both Thaidakar's name and Restares in his death throes, of which both are purportedly high ranking members of rival secret societies. The drunk man is speculated to either be Ishar or Jezrien and when he says 'have you seen me?' it is practically just before/after the part where the statues of the Herald's are mentioned, and the Herald's are sort of embodying their parallels the Ten Fools. (this is speculation, but there is merit for it)
  15. I think it was linked due to a comment made on page of Bridge Four Glyphs in WoR
  16. Oddly enough, A book on the freemasons by Michael Johnstone. It is quite fascinating.
  17. The whole cast of the Walking Dead. That show...just irks me to the point my blood boils. but seriously Jal-Nish Hlar from Ian Irvine's Three Worlds cycle. He needs several hundred Haemalurgical spikes to the face, pronto
  18. Vampires would want to be BFFL, or this case actual BFF's if you get turned
  19. But what about a plasma cannon instead? Everybody loves plasma cannons
  20. Aye, the Lightweavers had odd mnemonic abilities. I think in addition to the Surges, this extra ability/power is more of a passive one than active. How the Surges interplay with each other seems to be more of how the respective Radiant perceives/uses them but until we see more of each Order, it is going to be tricky. I mean, Kaladin for example is more a fighter whereas another Windrunner might be a master tactician and instead use the Surges for tactics/trickery/planning/traps etc (loose example but you get my drift)
  21. Current toss up between Trove and Super Mario 3D Land
  22. When you are argue with one of your best friends about the idea/physicality of Black Holes to which no result is gained apart from each of us stating how clearly wrong the other is
  23. Who're are the coolest people in the Hospital? The Ultra-sound people What do you get when you cross a Joke and Rhetorical question? A few peope were gathered by a grave because a report came in of the groundsman hearing these strange noises. One of the people recognised the sounds as Beethoven's 9th being played, but only backwards. This went on for a while until the noises stopped...only for them to start up again. This time the person recognised it again as Beethoven's 8th, again being played backwards. This time, another person arrives and hears the music and laughs 'Oh, it's only Beethoven decomposing' (i cannot remember exactly how this joke goes, but it is actually 'sorta' funny. This is just the gist of it
  24. Pillowfort/Blanket nest; yes. Adorable pets and plushies; not so much. They cost too much money. Although my dogs are cute as damnation, they just wouldn't sit still long enough...plus responsibilties >.<
  25. So i've finally come to end the assessment stage of my TEFL course, of which consists of a Multiple Choice test, building my own Lesson Plan and an essay explaining said plan. The quiz i feel i did relatively well on, and the lesson plan looks relatively easy to do (i have most of the resources to produce it) and i enjoy essays..........but I have zero inspiration or motivation and this block makes it feel very...daunting. And to top it off, I go traveling in just under two months and STORMS OF COLOURS.............i'm positively cremming my Shardplate because the moment is nearly here. Like...Nervouscited REALLY doesn't cover my feelings....I've still got a few things to get sort out and even just talking about this with family/friends doesn't make it seem real. I mean I know I'll be fine but..........feeling slightly kayana with everything, it feels like my head will turn into a giant mushroom cloud. Oh to simply stop the world so i can catch my breath I need a pillowfort or blanket nest filled with adorable pets and soft plushies
