Yeah, that was the feeling I was going for, but it's still lackluster at best. I'm not a terribly good writer myself, but I'm quite the analyst. I quite prefer to disect the works of others more than I like creating.

Oh, I would also like to announce that this happened to me yesterday. (Copied from my facebook.) The guy in the Starbucks drive-thru started talking to me in a British accent, so I did one too and freaked him out. When I pulled up to the window, like three of the baristas came over and asked where I was from. I shrugged and said "Oh, just around here" in my normal voice. They all laughed and the guy who took my order looked so relieved that I wasn't actually British. He thought he'd offended me! Ha! It was awesome. He was so embarassed!

I'm really not that great at first lines, but here's my most recent. "It was a beautiful May day; the sun was shining, the leaves were green, and Kara Mitchell was in the worst of moods." Yeah, wow. Mediocre at best. And, oh what was that? Fanfiction? /shot Loki fanfiction? /shot twice

Why did no one tell me that Joss Whedon wrote the screenplay for and directed The Avengers? It never would have taken me this long to go see it. I love Joss Whedon. He's like the Brandon Sanderson of visual media for me! And Avengers threw me right off the fandom deep end. I have since caught up with the rest of the MCU movies, excluding Hulk, and I haven't quite finished Captain America yet, but I'm getting there! I've introduced my parents to the MCU. I told them they have to watch it because Avengers is the Firefly guy. And I got Thor for a graduation present. I'm a Loki fangirl and I don't even care. I started posting on my tumblr, and it's all analysis and character disection. I think KChan is the only one following me over there, and I hope I'm not bugging the crap out of her with all my Loki posts. Oh well. I have no intentions of stopping...

I would like to announce that I am officially a high school graduate! Craziness. I can scarcely believe it!

Ah, I would absolutely love to know more about Rosharian linguistics. I'm hoping to someday be a linguist myself and languages are my passion. That's an interesting note about Russian - I didn't know that before. I was thinking about how it might work in French, which is the only other language I'm really familiar with. It'd be difficult, what with masculine and feminine adjective forms for different verbs. I'd put a ketek containing m/f swaps as a Level 2. However, with French, there would also be really cool opportunities for meaning swaps, because depending on where you place an adjective, it changes meaning. For example, the phrases "pauvre homme" and "homme pauvre". Both literally translate to "poor man" but the first describes someone who is pitiable, like "Oh, my poor baby!", while the second describes someone who has little money, like "We've been poor ever since you lost your job." I may have to look into writing some French keteks for you all...

My sister's gotten me into watching BBC's Sherlock. Pretty amazing if you ask me! Though it is hard to find time to watch episodes that are an hour and a half long!

I totally used to pride myself on my awesome reputation/post ratio. But then Musicspren came along and got MORE upvotes in FEWER posts and a SMALLER amount of time. :'(

It sure looked like you and I kinda freaked out a little bit! I've been following him since a few hours after his tumblr went up and it's kinda awesome. So, was that you?

So good! I told myself I wasn't going to ship anyone this time, (my poor Zutara feels are still hurting) but I can't help it! Mako and Korra! They're like Zutara 2.0. But better. And more awesome. All aboard the S.S. Makorra!

I think that was the best thing I've ever read. Seriously. I'm crying I was laughing so hard. So many little in-jokes and jabs at both fandoms. Brandon is amazing!

Wow, saw that video at lunch today. Personal consensus: Fake. But she's a pretty good actress and it's funny regardless. A crazy thing from the crazy internet that I found: tumblr. Wow. I'm going to go ahead and put this post under a spoiler because it's really boring and doesn't concern the admins at all so there's not really any reason for you to read it. I'd hate to inconvenience you with the post of a lowly unspiked forumite, so I'll just hide it away. Trust me. REALLY boring stuff here. Yeah, admins. There's really no reason to read that. Here, I'll summarize so you're not even curious. Basically we're all just talking about how great you are and how much we hope that one day we can receive the honor of powering an admin's spikes with our life force.

Wow. Ender's Game was actually on our required reading list over the summer for 8th graders. It's one of the few school-assigned books that more people than just myself actually enjoyed. It seems weird that what's mandatory in one place would be forbidden in another.

I finally got around to watching Firefly recently. WHY DID IT TAKE ME SO LONG TO GET TO WATCHING THIS SHOW??? It is awesome on a cracker, let me tell you.
