Wow, I'm surprised Brandon confirmed that, that's pretty incredible! It's funny, this theory has gained so much steam that Botanica Xu, one of the awesome artists over on tumblr started doing little character pictures of most of the characters in Stormlight Archive, and she actually ended up labeling her picture of Baxil's Mistress as Shalash. I sent her a quick message to remind her that it's still just a theory right now and she changed it. With that confirmation of Jezrien as her father though, I'd be incredibly surprised if Shalash wasn't Baxil's Mistress.

I could see myself dating Vasher, though he's so dang grumpy all the time, that dork. Denth could make a good kismesis... I wouldn't mind exploring something a little more caliginous with him.

Wow has it really been almost a year since I posted this...? DANG. Well, UPDATE from the tumblr cosmere fandom then. We're still the best fandom. If you don't believe us, why would we tag all of our posts as #cfsbf ? Cosmere Fandom is STILL the BEST FANDOM. Shipping wars are getting more intense. Canon-contender Shallarin is locking horns with slash favorites Shasnah and Kallarin! (And then there's Fruity who started shipping Hoid and Renarin???? We're not sure why.) Who will win? Who will gain the most followers? Why does everyone ship poor Renarin around so much? We have Friday Night Cosmere Chats on Tinychat. FNCCs are super fun... though whether or not we'll actually talk about the Cosmere is up in the air. Oops. We get crashed by the admins sometimes but otherwise, it's usualy just us Tumblr Sanderfans. *coughs inconspicuously* As someone who played the games through and read the novellas chronologically, I can say that the novellas are MUCH better if you know what's going on. I'd encourage anyone who has the ability to play the game to do so, because they're fantastic and we should definitely support ChAIR for making such wonderful games, but I also know that not everyone has access to an iOS device. So with that in mind, I made a storyline guide to help people who can't play the games get the story: It's over here on tumblr. I hope this helps! As for my reactions, I haven't finished playing IB3, so I don't know how it ends, but I did finish reading/playing all the way through Redemption so...

Attention Sanderfans. It appears that there is a significant lack of people who have played through the Infinity Blade games or read the novellas. I AM HERE TO FIX THIS GROSS OVERSIGHT. I'm lucky enough to have been given an iPad by my school, so I got ahold of the games - and they're great, but I know that lots of people don't have or can't afford iOS devices. Point of clarification: You can touch your own gold shadow. Vin experiences being two people while burning gold and the two identities touch each other. In her battle with the Lord Ruler, she specifically mentions being able to touch her gold shadow.

So Chaos posted a "what character would you date" thread. I'm here to ask the obvious follow-up question: what Cosmere characters do you want to be dating? For those not involved in shipping circles: an "OTP" would be a "one true pairing," or two characters that you think would be perfect for each other. (There are also things like OT3s and OT4s and such if that's your cup of tea). Cute shippy names are always nice as well, like the best canon ship: Vinlend. Feel free to talk about canon couples of course (Vinlend, Siri/Susebron, Raoden/Sarene, etc.) but the funnest ships are the ones that aren't canon! Crack ships are also welcome! So my favorite non-canon ship? Shallarin! Shallan and Renarin would make such a cute couple in my opinion! Especially if they go and flip gender roles and shock the Vorin world. Hmm, I'm really bad at catching foreshadowing and theorizing while I read (See: it took me 2 readthroughs to figure out Shallan had a Shardblade...) so most of these swept me off my feet. Sadeas's betrayal always hurts, because I really want to believe that he's trying to help Dalinar win the war. Taravangian was a good one, as were the Denth and TenSoon/OreSeur reveals. Some of my favorite twists of all time. My sister still won't forgive me for the Denth reveal. She actually screamed at me when she found out. Kelsier's death was probably the one that I was most surprised by, just because I'd never read a Branderson book before, and I was just completely not expecting that to happen. It's what made me fall in love with these books. Ah, they're just all so good.

Oh good! Dear, sweet Renarin is all mine! I'll admit I've got a thing for sweet younger brothers who look up to their older brothers and Renarin's just such a cutie. Now, I just have to find a way to stop shipping him with Shallan long enough for this to work. Kaladin and Elend would also be good picks for me, but Kaladin's still got lots of trauma to work through (curse my love of broken characters!) and I'm pretty sure trying to date Elend would end up with Vin's knives in my back. So it's the younger Kholin prince for me!

Yeah, I usually recommend Mistborn to read first. Magic-based Oceans Eleven taking down the hero who failed and became an evil overlord. With a physics-based magic that will blow your mind, the greatest plot twists ever, and an awesome romance on the side if that's your thing. Warbreaker's okay if they don't mind reading online. It's good because it's stand alone and also has some awesome characters and twists. But lots of people don't like reading on computers. I never recommend Stormlight Archive to start, though it's my absolute favorite. Brandon said it well at PCC, it requires a trust on the reader's part. If you're gonna start Stormlight Archive, you've gotta be committed for the long haul.

I have only ever played Skyrim, but it is excellent. I ought to get around to finishing it someday, but my laptop chokes out and can't handle the physics engine...

I would like to announce that I'M BACK! In terms of actual announcements, I suppose I could announce that I just bought Fils-Des-Brumes with my copy of The Rithmatist and am inordinately excited to read it.

As part of my return to the forums, I'm going on an espousing spree! You and Kerry both get espousations because your discussion on Shardkeepers was excellent. I REALLY like these theories. They're well thought-out and just make sense. Though I've realized I am hesitant to give you more upvotes, since you already have so many... Eh, whatever. You typed all that out. You deserve it.

Long time no see, everyone. As some of you might be able to see from the number of upvotes over there and the extensively espoused signature, I'm not exactly a "new" user. But it's been a while and stuff has changed, so I figured a re-introduction might be in order. I was threatened to be spiked persuaded to rejoin by some of the Admins, who have tracked me down through the morass of the internet and have dragged me back kicking and screaming convinced me to get involved here again. What's changed? Here I will make a nice list for you: I'm in college now, a super small, Christian college that I love. I'm a Global Studies major with an English Literature minor. Talk to me about Linguistics and expect to get your ear talked off. My OTP is Shallarin and nothing will convince me they are not perfect for each other. I am 100% evil and subsist entirely upon the emotional trauma of those around me. Expect me to bring up all the parts of the Cosmere you cried over and laugh when you're upset. My moirail is Eshonai (not the character) and my kismesis is Shroom. I've been over on tumblr mostly, running my content-only blog featherwriter and my personal blog alwaysanothersecret. As KChan has probably kept you all informed, there's a super close-knit Cosmere fandom over there, and we've been keeping busy! It's a fairly different fandom though. Lots of crossovers, shipping, and feels. Rather fewer theories and seriousness. What have I been doing recently? Well I've made some new contributions to the fandom. Most recently was a pronunciation meme that people have been filling. I've also done some theorizing and edits on a Homestuck/Mistborn crossover that has been titled #Sburbmere (warning, not that great and also not finished). For the Cosmere Fandom Secret Santa gift exchange I wrote Way of Kings short fic called "A Training Session" so if that's your sort of thing, check that out. I'm also about halfway through the first draft of a novel I've been writing currently titled Called Forth. I freaking love answering questions about it and when people want to read it. (Ask me, I'll send you a link to the draft.) That has been kind of consuming my life for the past few months. Picking it up again after NaNo this year was an EXCELLENT idea.
