  1. I was kind of surprised to see Shallan use her Radiant skills in an all out combat situation. I would have assumed more of a supportive role form Lightweavers and obviously they would be good at subterfuge but not all out combat. Kind of reminds me of a Mesmer from GW2. It was cool to see and now I want to see more Radiants action.
  2. This was an awesome catch @Oversleep they are way too similar.
  3. Ugh actually had to work some this morning so just finished the chapters. Wow after these chapters I feel like this is going to be the best SA book yet. Finally found Oathbringer! I have been wondering how this would go down as whomever finds it would be a suspect luckily the soldiers were honest and I think Dalinar did the right thing. Interesting how it didn't scream as much as the others. Hmm reuniting the kingdoms by a warlord from a waring people is proving to be difficult. Who would have thought? The visions should help though. Really like the discussion with Mr. T. I would like to take back my previous thoughts that he was playing dumb during their first meeting. Shallan is freaking me out a bit with all the third person discussion of her personalities. Of course she redeemed herself later doing a lot as Shallan herself. Finally Bridge 4 is back! That fight scene was pretty intense. Was glad to see Renarin act more radiant'ish. Shallan is a badass.. Confirmation on an Unmade was awesome but leads to a lot more questions. Will November 14th ever arrive?
  4. No those things are too dangerous!! Chull ridding is kind of the opposite of our bull riding. It literally takes no skill at all. You just sit there and see how long you stay there .
  5. Oh man.. My only hope is we have a somewhat satisfying ending with the first 5. Of course I am also eagerly awaiting MB E3. SA is going to be a haul though.
  6. I’m trying to remember if I’ve ever anticipated a book more than Oathbringer and I can’t think of one right now. Crazy considering it’s just the 3rd book in a 10 book series.
  7. What did you think about it? It was my least favorite.
  8. I dunno I’m pretty sure he won that at the 17th annual Herald Rodeo. Those represent the three events he won. Chull ridding is the blue one. Axehound roping is the green one. The pink/purple one is rockbud racing.
  9. I guess that is true if the humans were always evil ones. I had suspected that there may have been a reversal of the current roles and the humans may have been enslaved to the Listeners until Honor and Cultivation came along to make their safe haven but I have no basis at all for that. So it is possible the human inhabitants were always running a muck and this was a means to create peace until the humans decided not to hold up their end of the deal.
  10. Me three. Honestly timing wise it may work depending on what all we see in Oathbringer.
  11. I like the theory and posted something a lot less eloquently in the other thread about the story. One thing that was brought up in the that thread that does not necessarily disprove this but make me think the theory needs to be fleshed out a little more is a WoB stating there were humans and listeners there before the shattering. I still think it is possible that these two groups didn't co-exist well before Honor and Cultivation showed up on Roshar. Maybe Cultivation cultivated a more hospitable place for humans modeled after Yolen and Honor helped with an oath to keep the peace. Possible the humans were the even slaves to the Listeners before they arrived. My only problem with this is it seems pretty one sided I do not see what the Listners got out of it.
  12. I totally messed up what I said above I meant leader of Heralds not KR.. Yes what you said above and also Kalak calls him King of Heralds or something like that but that could mean a King and a Herald not nessesarialy the Leader of the Heralds which seems like it would be Ishar.
  13. Really liking the artbut I agree with some others that the first ones seems I dunno more SA’ish. Still beautiful and Jerzien is a good looking dude but not what I was expecting of course I know these are in-world. I get the keys but the compass? Also I didn’t know this wasn’t fact that Jerzien was the leaders of the KR until it was pointed out in another thread (it’s kinda circumstantial evidence left for interpretation he was a king just not necessarily the king of the Radiants). He looks pretty regal here. Edit- Long day I meant leader of Heralds not Radiants.
  14. Same. I feel like someone has it but having it in your possession makes you a suspect so they are not exactly going to come out and say it. Edit: R.I.P. Littlefinger
  15. ^ Pfft..Not falling for the old printed off the dust jacket from the twitter pic and put it on another book trick. Of course you could prove me wrong by posting the back endpapers..
  16. Ah the simple days when I just read Brandon's books before finding this site.
  17. This question has been driving me crazy.. It will take a couple weeks for me to get through it because I do not have a lot of time for reading. In that time I will have to avoid this website because I will be too tempted to start reading threads. So I am thinking I may re-read the preview chapters right before (if I have time) then start at interludes so I have a jump start and can see everyones reactions sooner.
  18. Geez now I feel like I need to re-read Warbreaker. The reviewer mentions Vasher and Nightblood so I feel like it has to be Vivenna. Man I'm going to have to charge the anticipation spren hanging around me rent.
  19. All this and little bit Adam & Eve as well. It almost feels like Brandon is trolling us. Parts apply to almost everyone yet not all parts to one person as a whole. I feel like we will slap our foreheads once it is revealed. Of course if it is post Oathbringer some of these may not apply to what we have seen yet. As much as I hate it I'd throw in Gavilar but he better be dead lol.
  20. I want to say that this in-world story and the scene with Shallan's lightweaving is one of the reasons I love Brandon's writing so much. This scene played out out in my head like a movie (or play). The story is haunting for some reason too.
  21. I think it is a current character there is plenty of precedence for this as you mentioned. Also feeling like it is written post Oathbringer ending similar to what Sazed did. The only sentence that made me dismiss Jasnah was the "I know I am not smarter than you..." but this may not mean intellectually but as in I made a dumb mistake or something. There is also the killing a person that love me part that I do not think we have seen yet (unless she killed Evi which seems too similar to Shallan). Second choice is Shallan but I think less of the sentences apply to her. Dalinar is my third choice but the Shadsmar thing seems like a real stretch. Forth pick is Evi but I really hate this if it is true and she is still alive.
  22. I'd pay $500 read the book real quick then auction it on eBay with a $501 reserve.
  23. How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop? Why do birds suddenly appear? What is the meaning of life? Which came first the chicken or the egg?
