I have just the opposite issue. I usually listen to books the first time so when I come here and read names I'm like who the heck is that? I was spelling Nightblood Knightblood forever until someone corrected me here.

I just suddenly envisioned having another sharder read me a book over the phone. It would take hours just to get through a single chapter.

How much a minute would you charge to read it to me over the phone?

Of course Mraize can use Shallan's brothers as leverage against her so not sure how forthcoming Shallan will be.

Yeah I also assumed it was people already there and not travel companions. Specifically not Hoid since I think Shallan would have mentioned Wit. So I have been wondering how Jasnah would get there ever since someone proposed that she would arrive in another thread. The cool way would be that she found and opened another Oathgate.

Agreed I was not expecting the reunion this soon at all and was pleasantly surprised. Now I am dying to know how Jasnah got there and where Hoid is.

Yeah I will be extremely bummed if we do not get to see any of this trip onscreen. I was actually thinking Jasnah would be the major interlude character and we would get to see her trip with Hoid back to the gang but oh well. As soon as I started seeing how short the chapter was as I scrolled it took all the willpower I posses to not read the last line because I knew it was Jasnah returning.

Jasnah arriving and Kaladin's return threw a wrench in my previous thoughts. I was sure it would be Kaladin missing but I just can't imagine that now he has too many important findings to report. So I guess it will be Shallan but man that feels wrong. OF course Brandon has a way of making what I think will be wrong feel so right. I JUST WANT TO READ PART 2! I decidedI will re-read part one right before the release and then skip to interludes but man it is going to be hard to not want to skip the interludes.

Well I wasn't expecting Kaladin to decide to leave as soon as they arrived. I actually thought he would go a little farther with the group of listeners because of his internal moral debate. I was glad to see him decide to leave though he needs to report his findings it may save some freed parshman as we clearly see the Everstorm only freed them and there is another step to becoming voidbringers. Saving the humans was also awesome to see and parting the wind was amazing. Couldn't help but feel all the spren surrounding him is how plate will eventually be obtained. Thinking Syl has to allow this though. Syl's line here made me LOL Wasn't expecting a Shallan chapter and it was short. Of Course JASNAH IS BACK!! Amazing way to end part one. How did she get there? Oathgate? Shadesmar? The band is finally together (I'd say back but Kaladin hasn't meet Jasnah yet). I already feel bad for Kaladin as it will not be a great homecoming for him initially. I am REALLY hoping he doenst fall back in to depressed Kaladin. ONE MORE WEEK!

Well just when I thought I couldn’t get anymore hyped about Oathbringer Chaos ensues. From what I’m hearing we are finally getting to the meat of SA with the first two books setting the stage. I can’t freakin wait!!

Good news is a week after tomorrow you will not have to read the book 3 chapters at a time. I agree though I think these chapters will end with an agonizing cliffhanger. I am finishing up my WoR re-read and I forgot how many parts are left with cliffhangers. Almost found myself skipping interludes.

^^ I'm guessing there it sounds more sarcastic within the rest of the context because it doesn't from what you posted. I like the theory above except what others have said regarding the duel justification. Honestly did Adolin really have an alternative besides killing Sadeas after his attempted murder and implied threats? I think it is a reasonable argument for pretty much everyone except Ialai who will not rest until her husbands work is done.

I am going to throw caution to the windspren and go with Kaladin and Adolin. I think Dalinar and Shallan are finished with part 1. Kaladin will arrive in Kholanar and Adolin's murder will be brought to light both ending on a cliffhanger.

As I’ve read them I’ve felt like it is 90% Jasnah but the 10% left over feels 100% not Jasnah. Edit: The only thing besides some odd wording that excluded Dalinar for me was the line about the other realms (can’t remeber the exact wording but eluded to Shadesmar) but I think this can now be explained with the upcoming vision invasion via Stormfathernet so I’m going to say it’s Dalinar.

My vote was good. I want Brandon to do whatever he needs to do to keep writing great stories although I’ll always lean towards his Cosmere fantasies because I think he will eventually be known as the greatest fantasy writer of all time.
