  1. You mean Adolin is SA's Sazed?
  2. Fabrials also need trapped spren to function though, and I'm not recalling whether the stormlight demand for their functions originate from the spren or the circuitry.
  3. WoR written in Alethi woman's script in metal, followed by a copy in rough Stormwarden glyph-speak in metal. Next to those, a Thaylen copy, and so on . . We need to figure out how to Voidproof writing, if possible. Why doesn't Odium screw with books?
  4. A true, absolute God in the sense that the Shards clearly aren't would be the metric of absolute truth and morality, true omnipotence. Everything they tell you to do is right, and to defy them is to sin. Calling out a 'God' for committing immoral deeds is inherently paradoxical because they can do storming whatever they want and you must agree they did nothing wrong:3 When it comes to shards, well we ought to cut superpowered mortals some slack on the morality department. Polytheistic gods tend to be morally questionable and occasionally even cremlings.
  5. There needs to be more books with a prophecy that absolutely helps nobody until the final hour when someone realizes that it already did what it promised.
  6. The most prophecy centric book we have actually seems like the Mistborn series, IIRC, where everyone misinterpreted said prophecy until literally the last 5 minutes. Good riddance, that. At that point the realization only served as encouragement to go through with something that probably would've been done anyway.
  7. Didn't stop Demoux and Galladon from being in this book. Much less Vasher. There was reportedly a terriswoman in Warbreaker anyway. Once you get in contact with people in the know it seems frighteningly easy.On the skybreaker thing, Szeth should not be able to vaporize people or shift gravity unless he actually bonds a skybreaker Highspren. Nightblood would do other things if at all. And even then he needs a legal excuse to vaporize people because breaking the law as a Skybreaker would probably cost you your powers. Thankfully Nightblood already vaporizes things anyway. Strongest shardblade ever made, I'd say.
  8. It's funnier when it's actually a really delayed punchline. From right after the gag about nature not having laws, only agreements between friends to avoid melting brains. Syl: Come on, that was worth at least a chuckle. *Kaladin snorts* Syl: A snort is not a chuckle. I know this because I am intelligent and articulate. You should compliment me now.
  9. What do you mean you forgot Marasi's powers?!?They're not that useless
  10. Well now that I got a good look at the page again it does say "Known" at the top, which is my bad for being mistaken. Brandon can technically still make it longer. But honestly I can already tell what Joe is asking. And the answer is probably no and nothing.
  11. I'm pretty sure we have the entire Aon alphabet revealed, Joe.
  12. If spren can be spiked then a shard logically could be as well. Which makes all the trouble Ruin went through to overpower Preservation a bit silly if he could just stab him.

I'd reckon TLR isn't too bad at genetics at that point in time if he can modify humans into having noble/skaa tendencies in physical build, create mistwraiths, ash-destroying microbes, etc. He probably wasn't very good at it, but he seems to have done something right in all that. Unlike his astrophysics exploits.
  14. Somewhat of a tangent about the torture, but there is a possibility that Honor is driven to inspire honorable deeds, but isn't honorable himself. Ruin wants everything destroyed, but never tries to self destruct and was actually actively trying to reclaim his power sealed in atium, meaning he cares about his own well-being and being whole. While Preservation split his power up amongst humankind, (mistborn spoilers) Preservation was highly suicidal in that ordeal. With that said, the torturing itself is probably Odium, but it does make more sense this way why Honor would knowingly doom innocent mortals to eternal torture like that. I mean, don't argue he didn't foresee it happening eventually. The guy knows Odium. On the other hand, these Shards were definitely not from Roshar initially, though the two that aren't Odium predating humans is likely. Odium was busy killing Dominion and Devotion on Sel. And I think one more guy.
  15. Nightblood is great as a melee weapon too though. I mean, a shardblade on crack is always a good thing to have. As long as you have enough breath.
  16. It might work? Shame the original Radiants have been dead for literally ages.
  17. But you're also immune to your immunity to curses!

    High Imperial

When you're the legendary king of everything, whatever you speak is probably going to be an official language in court, high society, etc. The Lord Ruler himself was somewhat of a fashion statement, and the main language in the Final Empire was supposedly a Terris dialect too.
  19. Why would it not work? Hemalurgy uses the same metals as the other two systems, and is not like allomancers can burn gems. And that power should work anywhere. If anything it's a bigger question as to whether surgebinding works off-world, if the WoB about seons on Roshar granting some form of power is to be trusted.
  20. It's much simpler to just assume that the spren in question are all just gravityspren and/or some air pressure related spren. Even for the 0.7g gravity chasmfiends and greatshells are described as being way too massive and need some form of spren symbiosis to survive, and skyeels . . . well eels shouldn't fly. That's probably the obvious problem with skyeels from the Earth/Scadrian perspective. Any further speculated connections would just needlessly complicate the problem. And I find it odd biologically for an eel to develop into a crustacean.
  21. I'd imagine the genetic diversity after TLR's first mishap might not be as great as it could've been. Flowers being clearly gone (which is odd because fruits aren't. Then Vin sets the world on fire again. Most of what existed pre-apocalypse was probably just whatever TLR knew enough about genetics to put together in those few minutes. Which would actually bump the percentage higher assuming the number of species decreased.
  22. Does he understand truth O_O
  23. Due to my high school's policy on study hall in senior year we were actually allowed to do whatever and even up and go home if we had no class during a point in time (though if we were still here we gotta stick to the school rules). I skipped an entire day each week on my last semester, and when I'm not in class there's usually someone trying to play cards or board games somewhere because we were all bored and a teacher actually kept his collection on a shelf for loan. That probably doesn't normally happen. And AP/college classes require full attention or you will likely be screwed. Though what most schools do once AP exams end I have no idea. We had documentary videos to go through. I'm also pretty sure normal AP Biology lab demonstrations don't involve the spontaneous combustion of Australian gummy bears. But I don't know for sure.
  24. Depending on the school senior year can be really lax or a nightmare. The other years are generally hell though.
