Well, he can't leave Roshar for one. He would rather not invest if he had the option, but well . . . yeah, not happening anymore. Dammit Honor.

One of the few things we seem to know about Yolen (homeworld of Hoid and the Shards) is that dragons are a thing. I mean, that series is named Dragonsteel and all.
-
They probably are, but the Blessings themselves do not grant the intelligence as an attribute, IIRC, it's the increase in humanity due to the spikes coming from human victims. The spikes themselves only contained things like physical strength, emotional stability, and the like. I wonder what effects increasing dragonic attributes in a kandra would have to their spiritwebs . . .

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...

Stealing a safe would be easier. -
What effect would that have on kandra sentience I wonder? It's the human attributes in the Blessings that help them regain enough of their lost humanity to allow for higher order thinking IIRC. And as inhuman they are by default as mistwraiths they're probably still more human than dragon.

Cross-Cosmere Duel: Kaladin/Vin/Hrathen vs. Raoden/Denth/Eshonai
natc replied to Varyn's topic in Cosmere Discussion
How does the bubble even help in that scenario? -
They all lose power with distance, but AonDor is itself boosted by the giant Aon Rao built into Elantris, which also loses effectiveness with distance, so the difference is more dramatic. Before that Aon was fixed the other Aons could still be drawn to some degree of effectiveness, which is probably their natural potency.

With regards to not genetically being human. Disconnected skin is far from the most unusual bit of anatomy TLR has wound up making over the . . . well, it's probably more ten minutes than years, but hey.

Szeth has ten heartbeats before his summons too no? Which he doesn't need, since a honorblade logically can't be revived if it was never killed (if that's even possible).

You're doing genetic modifications to a human soul in order to essentially create the Hulk. Them being super huge and buff is acceptable due to the spike charges in question, even loss of intelligence as a side effect makes sense to you, but disconnected skin suddenly doesn't seem natural? They're a new species, that's just how it works. You're better off asking where Kandra flesh comes from.

Why did TLR pierce the Atium bracer through his skin?
natc replied to Red Ferring's topic in Mistborn
Ruin can't hear his thoughts anyway, and probably would've heard his physical voice regardless? And the reverse of hearing Ruin's voice is the kind of thing you probably wouldn't want to hear. Look at all the good that did for anyone. -
Doesn't Kaladin also freeze an entire glyph onto the floor during his third ideal comeback moment? At least I think that was frost.

If a bloodmaker can heal spiritual spike damage I'd reckon stormlight can too in ridiculous quantities. Gold compounders could actually make for an amusing endless supply of gold feruchemy and allomancy spikes as long as they have a good stockpile of burnable goldminds.

There's also the part where several of the books have maps illustrated by a guy named Nazh . . . and we're not talking within one series here.

What does Duralumin + Atium or Duralumin + Lerasium do?
natc replied to WayneSpren's topic in Mistborn
We're referring to his absurd allomantic strength that can soothe thousands and push broken glass as well as metal blocked by blood. Only his internal powers can be feruchemical. He is spiked I guess, plus he pretty much did a DIY job on his soul judging from that WOB about his unused bead. Sliver too. Clearly it'd take a few dozen Elends to match his known feats, so the actual amount needed is likely completely impractical. -
Why did TLR pierce the Atium bracer through his skin?
natc replied to Red Ferring's topic in Mistborn
In response to Raysen . . .Because he didn't have any more metal inside him? These are atium beads. One does not swallow atium beads in advance, they digest way too quickly. He doesn't even have that big of a stock, the majority is in the Kandra trust. He probably keeps what he needs between shipments along with what little amount he plans on putting into circulation, and leaves the rest in the metal chambers to be shipped back and offloaded to the kandra. Plus nobody keeps a continuous burn when compounding, as stated. It's for storing purposes. -
World misconceptions that are difficult to shift.
natc replied to ljósmóður's topic in Stormlight Archive
It took me a while for the fact that the entire continent is rock to sink in. And that most of the chickens aren't chicken, as well as the size of Ryshadium. -
What does Duralumin + Atium or Duralumin + Lerasium do?
natc replied to WayneSpren's topic in Mistborn
That would require spikes or a second bead. Duralumin has no effect on total power release/expenditure, only rate of usage. -
I don't really see a problem in that.

Light seems to work normally in the bubble without becoming so energized that it incinerates you, so frequency is seemingly somehow unaffected. Even though it should be. Time bubbles are weird.

Cross-Cosmere Duel: Kaladin/Vin/Hrathen vs. Raoden/Denth/Eshonai
natc replied to Varyn's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Raoden would just have to figure out how to checkmate Vin if at all possible. Depends on how long his team can stall for him to run around drawing things. -
In the end this whole thing makes me feel bad for the three bondsmiths that have to get these guys to work together in each epoch. At least the Alethi highprinces mostly have the same line of thinking when it comes to being honorable (as in they don't really care).
-
It probably varies based on the number of variables they can handle? Some shards are outright bad at it, then we've got the case of atium allomancy (and to some extent electrum) that can change the future, possibility chromium feruchemy as well. It's possibly not spacetime-transcending precognition and more ridiculously accurate forecasting.
