  1. I imagine god metal alloys have specific percentage compositions like allomantic alloys do. So a titanium lerasium alloy has to exist in the system to work or it just makes you ill outright or kills you.
  2. And Windrunners will probably let the world end on them even if all it took was sacrificing one innocent. It's a dysfunctional group, even considering only the "better" ones. Though I wouldn't say Skybreakers disregard morality. I think they would simply believe that all men have their own values and morals, and law is the closest thing to universally true morality. It's impossible to do away with the subject of morality, but individual morality can be regarded as worthless.
  3. I think you ought to be a bit more careful with autocorrect typos, sul. And people generally ignore canon relationship influence in hypothetical duel-to-death discussions unless it directly affects or relates to their powers. It's a question of "if these people went all out who'll be the last person standing?"
  4. Roshar, I believe, has 0 tectonic activity whatsoever. The whole continent, judging from its shape, might even just be made out of crem deposits for all we know.
  5. I think the intense pain one involved burning the spike while it was stuck in you, in reference to Inquisitors. But yeah we have no clue what would happen. Common trend with lost arts. Burning a metalmind for power still isn't a good comparison though, since that has so many known and theoretical loopholes surrounding it already. Some of which involve identity-screwing.
  6. Shouldn't it be "knew"?
  7. I don't see how that counts as hacking. Though AFAIK it does cause the DNA in it to get spliced onto you. Must've decayed by the time you can swallow it though. And imagine swallowing a spike without hurting yourself. Burning a metalmind to use its power isn't even difficult though. The metalmind just has to be yours. People have been doing that perfectly well since the Lord Ruler with extremely overpowered results.
  8. Hot dogs. All these potatoes and not a single minefield brought up?
  9. Does algae actually exist on Roshar to begin with? I've lost track of the locally represented organisms beyond crustaceans, birds, horses, and plants.
  10. He has his own series already, he doesn't need a novella
  11. When you also call ducks, turkey, and goose on the dinning table "exotic chicken from Shinovar".
  12. Somehow I doubt the population ceiling of the current inhabited shardworlds is high enough to support 100% drain on all shards. There are shardless worlds with hunans as well, so at least it's possible to be sentient without their intervention. Though it raises the question of where the rest of the investiture their souls are maee of comes from, since that baseline seems almost bottomless. Though honestly magic with no external source like feruchemy and hemalurgy will probably be completely unaffected even if we somehow drain Harmony completely. It'd take a lot of simultaneous compounding burns to probably even make a dent though, if an average shardworld's population isn't enough to stop a shard from being godlike.
  13. It is generally assumed that a metalmind will give its feruchemical attribute when burned whether or not you have feruchemy yourself, since Vin could detect a separate reserve when she tried gulping down one of Sazed's metalminds. She just couldn't burn that power due to the identity lock. A gold compounder presumably has no issues, so he can just flare-heal his feruchemy back with his allomancy if he had stored a bunch of health beforehand in chunks of gold. IIRC burning the spike causes permanent splicing of the contents into you, but I forgot where I heard that.
  14. If you had a bond to any kind of splinter in general, IIRC, supposedly once you reach Roshar the bond would do something. Not surgebinding, that's more of a local spren thing, but definitely something. Which makes me wonder what happens to divine breath, but well I guess we'll find out eventually at this rate? Nightblood powers would totally rock though.
  15. It's not like any of the Shards are native to their Shardworlds, phattemer. The Sixteen were all from Yolen. Life itself predates the Shards of Adonalsium. The Listeners could easily have always been there, especially factoring the original Adonalsium-spren population that I believe was in place.
  16. Who would notice this random bead of metal on the ground in the same room as a pool that grants godhood? Gotta give it that "Here! This is important!" look by decorating it.
  17. The page count is also padded by flashbacks telling you just how the flashback-focus character (every book only has one throughout, which may differ from the focus character of the present-day events) got themselves into such a screwed-up life and the changes they went through. Another block of pages comes from interludes that tell you what's going on elsewhere in the world, possibility a major character that had just left the main setting for some purpose, or even people not connected to the main cast at all that are doing seemingly irrelevant things. It's sort of a solution to foreshadow events and/or do worldbuilding without moving the plot away from the place where everything is going down. They usually occur during the calmer downtime moments so as to not interrupt anything important.
  18. Shardbearer mistwraiths are legit. Also accidentally upvoted you somehow (silly phone), but I'll sound like a jerk asking someone to fix it so you can keep the upvote.
  19. Getting mindraped for 1000 years does that to a person.
  20. It'll never happen, but the question is whether it is possible at all so it is irrelevant. Like the Lord Ruler would probably never fight 100% seriously with all that megalomania, but the extent of his OPness is still a hot topic in Mistborn section as well as those VS threads that will similarly never happen.
  21. We don't know who first created them though. Hell, we don't know if they're even the local species of human. What they have contracts with aside they could be made of anything. You can probably slap shardplate on them without weirdness.
  22. Clearly the letters got soulcasted into the ideal of a bunch of letters, all suddenly referencing the cosmere because of it.
