See, that makes it seem strange. Maybe it just burns really, really slowly? That even the mega flare doesn't burn right through it? Or maybe it instinctively stops burning after the initial burst?
-
Well, they were already having trouble with the Stick People to Walls experiments with Kaladin. They have no clue how to measure Stormlight. Though spheres generally seem to go dun at around the same time. One does not simply measure the power of creation itself.

Sadeas keeps insisting that Dalinar doesn't know what kind of game he is playing here in the Plains, but I think he's missing the point. Dalinar knows what game everybody else is playing and is trying to get them to stop playing it and get work done for once. And Sadeas is getting in the way of that for shits and giggles. Alethkar might crumble under Dalinar's attempts, but really it was already dead anyway. Amaram, at least he has a noble goal, though ending the world is probably not the best way to achieve it. But at least you can still barely argue for his side, the same can't be said for Sadeas. And in the wise words of abridged anime videos, at least he pretends to be nice to people.

He's still around though, supposedly . . . Kicking the bucket didn't stop his meddling apparently.

Won't duralumin actually have a stronger burst than nicrosil? Logically it would actually flare itself exponentially, since it is burning.

Who wrote the back cover synopsys of The Way of Kings book?

But those spren would be shardblades right now? That thing might date back to the Adonalsium era of Roshar for all we know, really. So might Stormfather. The listeners are of the storms, but there seems to always have been a Rider of Storms. -
He destroys evil indiscriminately. It's all he loves. It's his life's purpose! And he has no clue what evil is. But he's getting better with that :3 He's just passionate about his Command is all. He can't even stop.

All spren are native to the cognitive realm, though. They only manifest when attracted by something.

All spren formed from Honor should date back to his splintering or earlier, but the same probably can't be said for ones formed from Cultivation or Odium, who could conceivably still be creating more from investing in Roshar. The Adonalsium-aligned ones being the most ancient. So honestly idk. -
Did you just call a destroyer of evil "evil"?

I believe Miles has brought up pewter savants before, in relation to Tarson and regeneration. Of course, the man was koloss blooded so any physical deficiencies would probably be less noticeable. It's an interesting thing to consider. Building muscle mass normally involves some really slight tear to the tissues themselves, resulting in soreness while getting fixed later, but Pewter makes you superhumanly durable as well as strong enough that your muscles are probably rarely taxed to the limit. Judging from Spook's weakened senses, a pewter savant probably would be somewhat frail and weaker normally as well.

Cue the prophecy becoming an instant hero ticket for the wrong people. Gotta love Sanderson prophecies. -

I doubt Shallan's screwed up family had anything to do with the bond, and the bond definitely wasn't weak. She could form Pattern into a fully functional shardblade before all that even happened. It took 3 oaths for Kaladin to even obtain such an ability.

If it is Eshonai, we will see them debate over sending Szeth in a little most likely. Might shed some light on the mystery of Gavilar.

Why are we bringing the Nightwatcher into this?
-
On the other hand, the windrunner in that vision lashes himself while fully armed. Though Szeth says it's the gems that interfere with his lashings, and judging from Kaladin with the helmet that windrunner was probably using his own body for power storage.
-
Gravity as a spiritual connection, however, does not at all interfere with how gravity functions. Even lashed objects still accelerate consistently with how it happens normally, save for going the wrong way. It's more of an in-world explanation of the forces' existence than of any of it's fundamental properties. Even when investiture breaks physics in the cosmere it never quite seems to completely break.

The piercings don't have to be extreme to be hemalurgic though.

I don't always bond shardblades. But when I do, I name them after my own biography. He is the most interesting highprince in the world.

So this is back eh? Make an Aon Tia plate targeted 1 foot directly down into the floor. -
Sadeas's Oathbringer is the one in the anonymous planter though. Adolin tossed it out the window.

He practically had a third of HOA to himself, plus some scenes in WoA early on as well as probably all the info compiling bits in the middle with the text (don't recall much anymore, but chances are Vin wasn't the PoV for that). Sazed is a strange case. It was almost his show the entire time, it just doesn't look that way on the surface. And his conflict is a relatable one to any religious people out there.

A Shard in its Natural Habitat; or, What Can't Shards Do?
natc replied to Oudeis's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Getting Lightsong kidnapped in the end wound up restoring Susebron's tongue, so perhaps the god king was needed for something more important than the war and commanding the Phantoms. He is the most Heightened being on Nalthis, the highest concentration of Endowment's power outside of the shard itself. That's probably going to be important in the future. It's not like anybody other than Lightsong the Bold would've done the same in that situation.
