They're both invincible. It'd get nowhere really. Unless this Blain is unafraid like the other one then Steelheart is doomed.

Hoid with the bead of Lerasium (Spoilers)
natc replied to FlailingMunchies's topic in Cosmere Discussion
There's a limit to how different an orbit can be before it's simply too hot or cold for life. And Roshar days are apparently 20 Earth hours long, so a 500 day year isn't that long at all. Then again Roshar's actual orbital length is completely unknown since the calendar is based on Weeping dates. But that's how Roshar years are counted in-world so we'll work with it anyway. -

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
natc replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
There's literally no reason to make silver bullets at all. Your bane is that you will never believe me. I wish the weather here would get colder (can the bane not be temperature-related please? ) -
Well depending on how that body works he might still technically be dead. Death just doesn't stop him anymore . . . truly a Survivor. I would say any of Harmony's slips about technology Elendel lacks is a hint towards the other civilization. Machines and devices that can be made using scientific processes and rules are human-constructed concepts actualized by science, not fundamental existences. Harmony would know what "electromagnetic radiation" is, most likely, as well as electricity and maybe even how you can convert one into another and back while still retaining specific characteristics of the original electric pulse. But what the hell is a "radio"? He would only know of those if someone had already made them and he found out.

A lurcher in special forces/military constantly lamenting on how his job is literally to get shot so nobody else gets shot. The troubles of being a hero . . .

Wasn't that story from the space-age Scadrial time frame?
-
Well, letting someone get away with murder is a serious problem . . . but technically since Dalinar basically runs the place nobody has to know
-
Wouldn't lower gravity actually weaken muscles and bones normally? Shinovar is really the only place with anything remotely comparable to horses as well, with the Earthlike environment (something it shares With nearly every other world). "Roshar animals" are pretty much primarily crustaceans with the odd skyeel or two.

Sazed explains the imbalance in humans with regards to Ruin and Preservation by using a rock, which apparently is 50/50, as an example. It would seem the entire planet was created from nothing.
-
Well Devotion is dead, so she can't do squat. And they can't return to the physical, since the point as far as we know is that they die.

This should probably go in the Calamity board with these spoilers. There's also really no other way to look at it, Calamity has every power. You can't beat him. One does not simply defeat the Lord Ruler without divine intervention or a lot of knowledge about magic. Are any of our three contestants allowed to use weaknesses?
-
But then he's also going against his desire to destroy the people and preserve Odium. Magic is just as much how you use power as how much power you have period really.

Use thickness and length to outline everything. I don't see how seeing would be a problem. As far as SoS goes you can faintly detect chunks of metal in people and still be unable to push on them.
-
He posted it in the cosmere theories section too with an actual question. Basically he's asking where the line would go on a metallic ring, since the center of mass is just empty space.
-
Dalinar doesn't have an honorspren though. He just has Stormfather, who may not care for all we know. As a bondsmith he may eventually place keeping Alethkar together over causing an entire scandal to keep a promise or uphold justice. This is not the time for the Kholin house to be the subject of doubt.

To be honest, wouldn't leaving the shardblade next to the body have incriminated any suspects less? If it was just there they'd eventually decide that the culprit couldn't hide the blade during an escape and had to leave it, presumably only wanting to kill Sadeas. The trail goes cold faster. Now that it's gone, they'll look for the blade as the main lead, and if they do find it in the bush and realize it was thrown out the window then the suspicion falls towards people in that part of the building that would expect themselves to be seen in that area specifically soon after the murder.
-
Really, shards come with an operating manual for how to make specific operations of magic-business (for some reason) and expands your mind so you can control it, but to arrive at specific results still takes some practice. It's like knowing how to chisel a sculpture versus actually making a good sculpture instead of a completely broken lump. Sazed had actual scientific records and data as a guideline when fixing the world itself, but nobody has actually ever, well, resurrected people before. He didn't know enough about the workings of the three realms yet to realize what steps he needed to take that he didn't take. Ironically most general healing magics in the cosmere (including feruchemy) can actually do all those steps by default with enough power.
-
On the other hand his power does have a history of being good at spiritual realm intervention (hemalurgy), so it makes a twisted sort of sense. Guess "Ruin" being more of an immediate sort of concept wasn't working out too well for him.
-
Well, we don't know what's on the other side, but basically they were fine with going there in the first place. Just read Secret History.

Flare atium with duralumin to see the outcome of a battle. Come back to you being on the floor with a sword at your throat because you forgot to actually fight.
