it's about 2.5 ghertz with 3 gigabytes of RAM and a 500 gigabyte hard drive. It's got integrated graphics, but that's fine cause I just bought it for use while traveling and don't need it to play games. And it was on sale for less then 500 dollars, including the wireless mouse.

it's bad when it happens out of nowhere just because the author wanted to do it, it's good when there's a coherent in-world reason why they got resurrected and it doesn't render the part of the story involving their death pointless. If a monster eats a bunch of people and then they all come back to life the next day like nothing happened that's lame. My comment on Ruin vs Odium on another thread was that Ruin will kill you, but Odium will make sure you suffer horribly first, then kill you. And then make you suffer after you're dead if possible. Because he hates EVERYTHING. Except himself. Probably. That is why Odium is "the most frightening and terrible of all the Shards".

I personally believe it's a feedback loop, re spren and the thing they are named for, rotspren don't cause infections, but once they get attracted to an infection they can make it worse. Which attracts more rotspren, etc. As for tidespren, tides on Earth actually happen twice a day, also as Roshar has three moons, their tides must be more complicated then Earth tides.

Brandon actually said in the goodreads com interview that Szeth is not a Radiant, something different is happening with Szeth. But he's using the same powerset as Kaladin. So yeah, we can ignore Szeth when discussing the Radiants. Exactly what's up with Szeth can be discussed elsewhere, and will be eventually.

well we know at least one of them is still around, as Brandon has said we get viewpoints from Taln and one other Herald (who we are told has already had a cameo in WoK although he wouldn't give specifics, common theory is Baxil's mistress from the Interludes). And even if they are all still around, they quit, and are kind of crazy, not sure how much use they'd be even if they do get tracked down.
