    I'm pretty sure that's the only time the mist a Shardblade appears from is described in any detail. Brandon was dropping hints even then. I do think living Blades appear from mist as well, the mist is a result of Investiture "condensing" into a physical form.

    You could be right. It's just my interpetation/headcanon. Regardless, I definitely don't read Kal and Syl's relationship in particular as being romantic in the slightest.

    with regards to pronouns the narration uses 'she' for Venli, and she's female-aligned even if not exactly female, and many female-aligned non-binary people irl use 'she' pronouns. I definitely think one of the Willshaper oaths deals with responsibility since the hints we have indicates that is a thing a lot of them has trouble with and the the fourth ideal in particular seems to deal with things members of the order tend to have trouble with. Extrapolating from the Windrunners anyway.

    Gosh I hope he doesn't kill Pattern. I'd be sad. I also really hope Adolin doesn't die (because MAYA). I think one of Kaladin's parents is gonna die in book 4. Just because Kaladin is not allowed to be happy. I kind of hope if it does happen it's his dad, because Brandon has a habit of killing main character's moms and it'd be nice to see him kill a dad for variety.

    Eshonai.Yes she's dead, but she's still getting flashback PoVs to complement Venli's PoVs in the present.

    yeah, Kaladin is nothing if not predictable with regard to getting attached to people and taking responsibility for their well-being in a not-very-healthy way.

    Wasn't actually me who said that, was somebody else, though I did agree they had a good point. My main objection is that I think spren are asexual and aromantic by default.

    I feel like he kinda has to show us listener kids in book 4 seeing as it's basically gonna be the listener book, imo. I'm also super interested in this subject.

    I'm of the opinion that any form can reproduce in theory they are just less fertile and lack any inherent impulse towards those activities so they usually don't.

    He's not ever described as having glyphs, and neither is Ivory, and those are the two living spren whose Radiants (probably) have or have had access to Plate.

    there's also the deleted scene which shows Jasnah immediately after the attack on Wind's Pleasure, that does show her talking to some objects as she soulcasts them.

    this is a cool idea, and I'm fine with either 'everyone knows' or 'this is a new thing'.

    going with Awakening, because if you have enough breath you are unaging, and even lesser amounts of Breath slow it down. Immortality ftw. The actual overt magical powers are just icing on the cake really.

    Of note, Jasnah is all but confirmed to have access to Plate as of the end of OB, and Shallan likely had access to Plate at one time even if she's currently being unreliable narrator about it.

    Yeah, several of them have discussed the fact that they have been getting worse over time, not better or staying the same as you'd expect if it was just trauma.

    Syl had a single glyph (the Windrunner glyph) at at least one point in OB, iirc. None of the others are mentioned to have glyphs at any point.

    I think it's related to Bondsmiths not having had Shardblades, historically.

    My impression is they were "withdrawing" before the Recreance, and also there was only one Bondsmith at the time and we don't know which spren they were bonded to.
