    The Alethi believe that a darkeyed person who claims a Shardblade will end up with light eyes, but as far as I know that's just a story and I'm not sure any of the characters have actual evidence of it. Also Amaram has "tan" eyes, which I think counts as "light brown".

    it's an interesting theory, I've wondered about that guy myself, since he was never mentioned again and doesn't seem to have a purpose.

    I'm pretty sure our Hoid just took the name as an alias. In WoK he says it's the name of "someone I should have loved".

    I believe the "still not sure if he has a shard or not" bit was annotated by the person transcribing the interview, and Brandon has since said Hoid does not have a Shard.

    Yep, somebody noticed that one of the 17th shard members in WoK had a scalp scar like Demoux's and then Brandon confirmed it at a signing.

    Well if you want to be unobtrusive about it, pewter and tin are probably the two most useful in day to day life, and they are also relatively cheap.
