  1. I posted that exact theory ages ago, so yeah, I believe that. Brandon said the similar names are not a co-incidence.
  2. Cluebatspren: appear whenever somebody says something incredibly stupid that everyone in the vicinity wants to hit them with a blunt object for saying. Stealthspren: big flashy things that appear whenever you are trying to be sneaky. Insomniaspren: appear whenever somebody is trying, and failing miserably, to sleep.
  3. if you look at the map of Roshar (the one just before the prelude), it's in the southern hemisphere, and there are latitude lines indicating that the equator is just north of the Reshi Island. Also, Shinovar is at 30-40 degrees south, so theoretically it should have the same seasonal variation as the area between Florida and Northern California. Come to think of it, we still don't know if the relative day/night lengths change with the seasons (which would indicate a seriously erratic axial tilt).
  4. +1 to you, that's hilarious.
  5. ShardBlog, to go with ShardCast?
  6. definitely the shiny haxorus.
  7. Soon better not mean "When the ball ends".
  8. in terms of world, I'd definitely visit Roshar for the unique flora and fauna but not stay there due to automatically being a second-class citizen in large parts of it. I'd probably chose to live on Nalthis or post-Final Ascension Scadrial. Peaceful, no hostile shards around etc. I think it would be fun to be on Scadrial just after the events of HoA, so I could participate in the massive rebuilding effort.
  9. I'd call it Harmony myself.
  10. yeah it's only sort of from Hoid's POV, it's a bit more distant then the other POVs. It's Brandon being cagey as usual.
  11. I'd be a Pathian too, no boring laundry list of silly rituals or anything and no huge list of dogma. Plus everyone can do with 15 minutes of quiet time. It's healthy.
  12. for the record, Brandon said some time ago that book 2 will be shorter then WoK. Also, the time skip between the Mistborn trilogy and AoL is a completely different animal then time-skips within a trilogy.
  13. I am resurrecting this thread to fangirl obscenely over Homestuck, I've been inhaling Act 6 today. And storm, the end of act 5 was awesome, did you know it crashed Newgrounds when it was first released?
  14. Nightblood is "orders of magnitude" more magical then a Shardblade, according to Brandon, for the record. So I think Nightblood wins.
  15. Yeah he said that, unfortunately I loaned my book to my dad while he's on vacation so I can't look it up either, but I know it's there. The chapter is called "to want what we cannot have" I believe.
  16. I don't place a great deal of credence to the idea that seeing the future = Voidbinding, for the record, I suspect that's a religious misunderstanding.
  17. um...Dalinar and Adolin both had POVs, and the ten heartbeats thing was mentioned very early in Dalinar's POV chapters.
  18. I doubt very much that all lighteyes are descended from KR/Shardbearers, but I'm sure all the ones with weird eye colours like purple and yellow are. Most of the ones with ordinary blue or green eyes probably just benefited from the association.
  19. there were swords mounted on the wall in the flashback, I assumed one of those was the murder weapon. Or possibly a carving knife from the table.
  20. no, pouring is the correct idiom.
  21. also, the modern American diet is generally loaded with salt anyway.
  22. now reading Capitan's Fury, by Jim Butcher
  23. the soulcaster was in his coat pocket, and nobody but her father and his steward even knew he had it before his death. So it got broken completely accidentally.
  24. yo momma's so mean even Odium is scared of her.
  25. thanks, also it seems there is a known issue with logging in via twitter atm, they are working on fixing it.
