  1. Honorblades turn the wielder's eyes light while they are actively using the blade.
  2. Well Kaladin got blue, which is strongly suggestive. Also the Windrunner from Dalinar's vision with the Midnight Essence also had very pale blue eyes.
  3. Even without atium a Fullborn is pretty much going to take apart everyone in their path. If you give them atium you are just adding pain icing on top of the pain cake.
  4. IMHO it's not just the length of time he's carried her (I bet there's lots of people who've carried blades for longer), but the way he treated her as something more than a tool from the start. I really feel like that's an important factor.
  5. Personally I think his just a lying liar who lies.
  6. He does have a shardblade. That's a pretty good way to break some glass ceilings. But Kaladin and Dalinar have both been super busy with other stuff, so it makes sense that nobody thought about giving him an official promotion.
  7. Better to have 83 pages of it in one thread than 83 spread over six different threads.
  8. I think that is highly unlikely and it seems kind of silly to me, tbh.
  9. Welcome to 17th Shard, where the cookies contain fashionable jewelry.
  10. "Ph33r" is actually internet old, so the jokes on you.
  11. I think all spren are splinters of Honor, Cultivation, or a mix of the two.
  12. We can't really make a lot of inferences about Maya's mental state at this point I don't think, let alone other deadeyes.
  13. It's not the same sword. Nightblood is a different sword from the honorblade.
  14. Definitely the Mistborn series (read the secret history novella last). And then everything else. It's all good stuff.
  15. I think he's also said that in order to restore the dead blades the wielder would need to say the oaths but also something else would have to happen and he hasn't specified what that is.
  16. I think his people objected to his bonding with Jasnah, so probably at them?
  17. She is maybe becoming less dead. It seems like Adolin has a stronger bond with her than is normal with a dead shardblade.
  18. also whether "obedient" is a good quality depends heavily on who or what they are obedient to.
  19. He's not human, so he doesn't think the way humans do, that's not a flaw, it's just that he's different.
  20. Kaladin is still the best character though Dalinar is also increasingly great.
  21. In Pattern's case he does have a "real name", it's just not useful for humans because it's a bunch of numbers. So he gets a nickname. Idk where all the rest of the names came from. I don't think we know for sure that the bonded people named them? Syl was likely named by the Stormfather, yes.
  22. Remember people: evil is not a toy.
  23. I can definitely see Adolin as the sort of person who would form a bond based on openess to it.
  24. I wouldn't say that everyone is broken but I agree that broken doesn't have to mean non-functional and I think it's plausible that Adolin is spiritually cracked to the degree necessary to form a bond.
  25. Secretive warrior societies are a pretty common trope.
