  1. So first, how on earth did a peaceful, agragarian society produce a monstrous, killing machine like Szeth? Second, Szeth is a surgebinder. How did he become one in a part of the world where the highstorms don't affect much, and stone and stormlight is sacred? Third, is Szeth merely bound by personal choice to the oathstone, or is he forced to obey the holder of it? I have a theory on this one. Szeth had a spren like Kaladin, but in turn, it was bound to the oathstone. So, Szeth made an oath that he would obey the bearer of the stone, and his honorspren binds him to it. If he breaks that promise, he loses his bond to the spren, and is no longer a surgebinder. Fourth, Szeth was fairly certain that if he died, the shin stone shamans would be able to recover his shardblade. How could they, if it is really hard to defeat a shardbearer? what crazy powers would they have to overcome that?
  2. The names aren't that similar. There are multiple letters that aren't in the other name. Main similarity is that the beginning of their names go Ta_a, with the blank being filled with an r or n.
  3. I think it is just an ability of Shallan. There are people who have a photographic memory. For Shallan, She can do it with scenes. and images. THe reason the spren show up in her drawings has to do with some wort of sense she has with them. Similar to Elhokar, who can actually see them without having to draw them.
  4. It is possible for there to be different kinds of plates. In one of Szeth's viewpoints, he thinks about how having a shardplate would interfere with his surgebinding. So, if the Knights Radiant had some surgebinders, there had to be some sort of plate that didn't interfere with surgebinding.
  5. So, Hoid tells Kaladin that Sigzil is his apprentice. Does this mean that he is a world jumper like Hoid, Galladon, and Demoux? And how does one become a world jumper of the 17th shard like all the above?
  6. I feel there will be 8 "good" ones and 8 "bad ones. Good Honor Preservation Devotion Endowment Cultivation ?Salvation? ?Order? Bad Ruin Dominion Odium ?Corruption? ?Damnation? ?Chaos? Eh, that's all I got for now.
  7. So, I've only recently started getting into the cosmere. But I'm wondering how time relativity worked out. Are the stories all happening simultaneously, or are some happening before and after others. One main question I have regarding the chronology is on Sel. Did Rayse kill Aona and Skai before the Events of Elantris or after? Has Sel felt the effects of their deaths yet?
