    He isn't an herald either . If you really want to know about the Cosmere, you should check the coopermind wiki, but I can say that most info about it isn't central to the books' plots for now. As for the Cosmere itself, all of Brandon's books that don't take place in some version of our universe take place in the Cosmere. Some people can move from one world to another by various means. Hoid is the most prominient of these "worldhoppers", and probably the oldest. There are many others spread through the books, some of which you may recognize from other books. While Nale/Nin/"Darkness" is, as far as we know, not a worldhopper, the sword he gave Szeth was made in another world, and plays an important part in Warbreaker. Its maker also appears in Roshar, although I won't say when or where. EDIT: And feel free to browse this forums and read the theories, I myself only developed an interest in Brandon's books after reading way too many spoilers

    Wit was saying the truth when he told Dalinar he isn't a Radiant. Actualy Hoid is something else entirely. If you want to learn more, you should search "Cosmere" in the coopermind wiki, although you should first read all of Brandon's secondary world fantasy books if you don't want to spoil yourself from some interesting discoveries, even if they aren't central to the plot yet. And avoid this part of the forum, since it is very spoilery about the Cosmere.

    Nice thing you called it as well. While I myself didn't look at the order diagram until after the book, I also called she was a Elsecaller, since their description in the epigraphs said they were the masters of transversing shadesmar, followed by the Lightweavers and Willshapers, and I knew she shared with Shallan a surge dealing with shadesmar but was much better than her at manipulating it.

    There shouldn't be a physical focus if there was magic on earth. Instead, magic on earth should be based on holy symbols and similarities between things. Oh, and all ancient miths should be real, as should all religions. Not saying this because I wish to write an alternate history based on all miths and religions on the Iron Age being real . I am already too busy with my secondary world fantasy.

    Don't worry. This community is pretty soft on new members. While I myself lurked the Shard until I got my hang on things, I don't believe any of us will judge you for being inexperienced. Plus, it is fun to know what people think before reading the main theories and recent Words of Brandon.

    LOL, so true Ps: On Lopen, he is not a surgebinder, at least yet. Knights Radiant of some orders can passively give their followers the ability to breath stormlight, and the Windrunners are especialy good at this. Such followers are called squires

    Honestly, I didn't even see Random Stuff V II before it disappeared, because of timezones.

    I still don't get why the first Random Stuff V was merged into IV. The RP derailment wouldn't last forever(can you even derail a thread dedicated to randomness?).

    He falls like he died, but it is left ambiguos. Of course, it is also left ambiguos if he is an herald or not. In WoR he is revealed to be alive. I would advice you to avoid this part of the forum before reading it, since here spoilers run wild.

    I like to think I took part on the Random Stuff RP as a writing warm-up, but it is more like the Shard kept from writing my book about witchcraft, betrayal, dreams, cannibalism, treason, romance, black magic, cannibalism, imagination, love, hate, and perhaps hope. It must sound weird that one of the most moral characters in the book I am trying to write is a cursed cannibal and I still consider it an optimistic story about forgiveness.

    Actualy, full plate does not greatly impair mobility for a trained warrior, since the weight is well distributed and the articulations are generaly very well designed. The main problems are the ventilation and how exhaustion will come faster. Plus lacking the extra strenght, thoughness and agility of Shardplate. But every armor is heavy and clumsy compared to Shardplate.

    A black raven flew by and perched itself on a branch from a nearby tree. In the blink of an eye, were it once stood there was now a a translucid, ghostlike man whose skin and clothing were grey. He stayed silent a moment before saying shyly: "Well, maybe we could... start it again?" EDIT: I finaly felt like adding a profile pic. Generic nevermore!

    So... I was thinking... Since Random Stuff V is now a RP, should we start Random Stuff VI sooner for the non-RPers?

    Pulse looked confused at warriormark , the sudden glitter and the wormhole terminal. He liked some small amount of sanity. "I... I can only acess part of my knowledge when I manifest in this Realm. The average velocity of an unladen swallow is not part of that knowledge. And the nearest genie is behind the wormhole terminal.". After a moment of thought, he dissolved into darkness and turned into a raven, flying towards Maggie. He had presenciated events like that one before, but the presence of so many other unnatural beings still made him anxious, even if most were not as transcendent as him. She, at least, seemed slightly sane. Even if being near her probably meant feeling she eat.

He soon regreted it, since he wasn't fully sure if he grasped its meaning, despite having expended more time in the psychic planes than on the Center since his ascension. Ps: the song is My Spirit Will Go On, from Dragonforce.

    I'd say that shardless Adolin would fall a lot in his position even in one on one duels, since when your sword is breakable, differently balanced, shorter, denser, maybe heavier, and your armor doens't give you extra strenght, speed and thoughness, them you will have a hard time adapting.

    I once dreamt I was a sleepwalker, and sleepwalking me filled the floor of my house with socks so I would trip, fall and crack my skull after waking up. Also, I had a dream my former school had a starway that lead into a chasm of the shattered plains, I was investigating strange crystals and runes that covered the chasm's wall after Kaladin said an Oath, and darkness(not that one) sudemnly consumed everything. EDIT: Storming typos!

    Slowly, almost imperceptbly, the fragments of reality broken of by the apparence of various transdimensional beings started to slowly bend, and take the shape of ever ressonating strings of light, and the shadows of all sentient beings present silently creeped towards the center of the inaudible song, small pieces breaking of and converging to form a sphere, that turned into a black beating heart, that became a brain, that melted back into shadows from which emerged a grey translucent being in the shape of a young human man, floating a few centimeters above the ground. "At last." Said Pulse, his voice the sound of a hundred words being written and ninety-nine being erased, "It had been to long since my shadow last touched this Realm." He then looked towards the terrible destruction being brought by Maggie, and his entire form glowed with slithering runes made of pale light. "Please, if you must eat these... bookies, try to not do so at less than an arm's lenght away from me. I think I remember why I became a being of pure information."

    Actualy, some misguided people do claim that. Mestiv didn't mean that, but I thought he did. Well, still better than what the guy you mentioned claims.
