Quick Fix 75: The Tower's Pressure
Kasimir replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Everyone was already beginning to doubt each other. Hard not to, Kalhavar thought. Urithiru was filled with too many faces he didn't recognise, though he thought some of them might know each other a little better. A man in clothes such an eye-devouring shade of utter black Kalhavar privately suspected he had issues with Shin assassins had caught his eye as he seemed to twitch at the slightest disturbance in the Tower. Still, Kalhavar thought the man was probably not one the enemies the Sibling had apparently alerted Navani about, though Kalhavar resolved to keep an eye on him. Both Tim and the other [OOC: Penguin], in their various ways, seemed artless, as though they were struggling to acclimate to life in the Tower. Difficulty enough without being one of the Enemy, though Kalhavar would be the first to agree it didn't exonerate them. Perhaps one of the Enemy would struggle, too. He didn't think any of it warranted strong conclusions so early on. Yet a good tunnel—running through Shadesmar, as the best did—always required you to start from somewhere. Usually, by ascertaining your ground, figuring out where was the best sort of starting place. The last thing you wanted to do was to take money to accidentally send someone somewhere dangerous. His business partner had her own views about that, but since Uille got a share of the take, Kalhavar thought that he'd really rather not be managing her wanderlust on a regular basis. 'Course, he'd yet to see hide or hair of that client who'd asked for a Premium Shadesmar TunnelTM to somewhere sunny by the sea, with a gentle breeze; a warm place with no memory. [OOC: TJ.] Wasn't ready to draw conclusions about it just yet, but Kalhavar would be damned if he let someone up and stiff him like that. -

Quick Fix 75: The Tower's Pressure
Kasimir replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
@Radon / @IcedOutPenguin Serious answer: We try to have fun and party and I don't wanna be telling new players the Correct (TM) way to play because that's just boring and kills fun. We have a Welcome thread you can read which explains a bit how the game works (can get there by clicking the banner in my bio.) Fundamentally, all of us were randomly assigned an alignment/colour at the start of the game. If you're green team, you wanna vote out all the red people. If you're red, you wanna kill enough green people until you have the same numbers as green people. We can say whatever we want, lie as much as we want, party, RP, have a good time. All your RP will be used against you by Jo will be used to enrich the story Jo is telling - the GM will usually work with you, not against you, to storytell together. You can play the game via RP posts too, that's fine, but it's very late at night and I'm old and hurt and tired, so RPing willm not be immediately happening. If you're green, how do you find red? Well, there are a bunch of techniques, but they usually involve a mixture of social deduction, talking, and bluffing. This is like a Werewolves/Among Us game. If you're red, how do you kill green? Uh. Sorry, not in the business of giving out free advice But also, we party like it's the last night before the world ends! P.S. Might not wanna keep posting in the [Closed] thread - Araris hasn't locked it yet but basically once a thread is declared closed by the GM, you can't post in it anymore -

We show up to party and have a good time! Also, to save Urithiru by Shardblading some Enemies while we're at it. But mostly just party! -
Based off current list: Exp mentioned he was busy for a couple months but can still receive a courtesy ping since that'd be June. 1. @Experience 2. @|TJ| (yep) 3. @Steeldancer 4. @xinoehp512 5. @The Wandering Wizard 6. @Ashbringer 7. @Amanuensis 8. @Elandera Big factor for the sign-ups issue is if anyone on the list is considering running a game eligible for extended sign-ups. If they are, this likely needs a MR list activation as well. I'd like to think we should get someone by person #8, if not via TJ, but let's see how this goes.

Quick Fix 75: The Tower's Pressure

Striker Welcome back! How's it feel to be Elim on your first game back? This had better not be a locked votes game or I'm just gonna dig a hole to bury myself instead of a tunnel. -
Quick Fix 75: The Tower's Pressure
Kasimir replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Looks like the issue was with my modem, which died but has now been replaced. Signing up as Kalhavar, the local tunnel constructor. Urithiru needs tunnels. If you've got the Stormlight, he'll set you up. No questions asked. ...Well, maybe a few.- 693 replies

I guess my question would be: do you not feel some forum segments are the same here? I find a lot of the Social Clubs (i.e. socialisation) section to be that way: if it's kids talking about their first date or school lives, I don't really want to go in that thread either for similar reasons. And that's where I kind of feel the disjoint appears more. Some of the Gen threads are 50/50 in that regard.

Drake's currently running another game with a 24/24 split on a server and he fell ill this week. I wouldn't consider Drake a top option.
-
I'll take it I'm curious why you feel that way on other social media but not on a forum? Appreciate that perspective, tbh (Sorry if it's short, I just ended a brutal work roster and have been sleeping but my brain has not recovered yet.)

MR72 Aftermath: The Truth in The Sickness
Kasimir replied to Ashbringer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I was so tired with roster I forgot to check back in. Thanks for running the game, @Ashbringer! I really enjoyed your write-ups Great first game, @Hoid Slayer! Your RP was fun to read and I thought it was a strong opening as a player Lmao you think I'm gonna let you live that down? -
It's known to, yeah. I live in the tropics and we get vastly inconsistent results from Rhodia as compared to people in the States, so it's often a thing we have to warn new users about because they read recs from US-dominated sites like Reddit and then get shocked Pikachu when the results aren't the sme here. To your first question - unlikely. Possibly due to nib abuse but hard to say. If you store the pen upside down, that's asking for it. It should be stored flat or upright. Chinese pens are cheap (but good!), you'll normally see mild leaking into the cap, and I get that even with Kakunos. However, large volumes of ink in the cap should not be happening, and something I would check for is whether your nib unit is cracked (was a problem with JoWos back in the day) or whether the O-ring on the nib unit is broken. Even if there isn't an O-ring, you can always just put an O-ring on it - grease it up lightly with some silicone grease first. I'd agree with Cyclops about checking your cartridge seat, but after that, definitely check the integrity of your nib unit. Edited to add: Sorry, to clarify what the O-ring and cracked nib unit thing is about: -If the nib-unit is cracked, extra ink will be flowing out not from the nib but from the crack in the nib unit. It'll probably look like the nib did it, but it won't be. To check this, you'll likely need to hold the nib unit up to a light source and turn it slowly to inspect for cracks. -Sometimes, the O-ring is just broken or there is no O-ring. The O-ring forms a tight seal between the nib unit and the section of the pen. Not all pens need O-rings, but sometimes the O-ring helps a lot (all Chinese PenBBS pens use O-rings in the section, for instance.) This is the picture of a PenBBS nib unit (they're transparent, unlike Jinhao which prints them black), and the white rubber ring at the top and bottom of the nib unit are both O-rings. When greased, they form a tight seal between the nib unit and the pen section to stop ink from just dripping out from that gap. The O-ring in this photo is a bit displaced, as it should be sitting right underneath the tip/lip of the nib unit. -However, if the leak literally is from the nib, you'll want to check if the nib tines are sprung. Basically, you should not be able to see a gap between both tines of the nib. (There's a thing where you hold a small, weak flashlight behind the pen nib and see if you can see light from that gap. If the tine gap shows light, it's way too big.) You can try to fix a sprung nib, normally by flexing both tines back together gently, but IMO, it's a Jinhao, just get another nib, and also sprung steel nibs are not that easy to fix. But YMMV.

My take would be to get @|TJ| or @A Jo in the Bush to submit something and then TUN and I try to clear it ASAP. If neither of you are able to take it in this point, I think we have two options: either get a volunteer GM to run something (I guess I theoretically could run something as I just came back off the roster and this wouldn't run immediately), or we default back to MR list (need to clear this option with the mods.) Let's see what TJ and Jo have to say first before opening the dystopian world box.

Long Game 105: Obliteration
Kasimir replied to The Unknown Medallion's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Can't play and doubt I'll have the time to spec as I'm on deployment at the moment. Either way, I was one of the two people who had to approve this game so that was fortunate timing-wise and can confirm the ruleset is pretty interesting and whack Edited to add: Mostly I'm just here to be TJ's wingman and if bhai screams too much in my DMs, imma ask someone to RKO him outta nowhere- 291 replies

Mid-Range Game 72: A Breath of Fresh Air
Kasimir replied to Ashbringer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
AFAICT. I don't hate this as a vote, am not sure if I still feel E!Polly after her latest post, but also, Polly is one of our Breath givers rn and it's a bit late to orchestrate a pivot unless more people are around. I also just...Part of TJ's post still bothers me tbh. If you believe I am E to the point most of your posts this cycle have mentioned it, then why is this in your post at all? I feel it's more directed to V!me since E!me is kind of known not to have the ML guilt problem, and it was a whole thing. Like this whole thing makes no sense except from a V!me world, with the E as a random afterthought and IDK a post that has "Kas and Stick are Elims" has any business also suggesting this - it's like your actions are showing you don't really buy your own read? Anyway I'm gonna have to be in commute really soon and will probably join the gang of rollover missing people, but quick/last thoughts: Ruler is getting zero scrutiny for this vote. If Stick flips E, Ruler's more or less just V. If Stick flips V, I think Ruler's vote needs to be questioned - I have no idea why I thought it was an RNG vote but it's pretty much naked. There's an oddness where it doesn't super fit the new Elim profile, but yeah, it's just ehhhh as a naked vote regardless. If Stick flips V, I kind of want to think Wiz is V...tbh I kind of want to think he's V regardless of Stick's flip. He did break the tie on Stick despite the Polly flirtation, but his reaction in PMs to me when I asked him about his backing for his Stick vote read quite Villagery where he went back through the thread and was like "dawg tbh I can't find it anymore that's weird, I'm not sure why I thought that" - that's not a very Elim climbdown IMO. Not E/E with Stick, but also not the sort of way an Elim walks back the V!Stick vote. I suspect there is at least one Elim in <Raven, Polly> and this has to do with Elim overcompliance (Elims tend to overestimate the degree to which the Village is ready to follow a Grand Plan and want to throw in first/more than Villagers do.) Initially I was leaning Polly as the Elim in there, but I'm sort of feeling it might be Raven over Polly now and I'm not sure why. Raven's reluctance to vote here despite also thinking E!TJ is just kind of weird and suggests an inability to take a stance. IDK that Stick and Raven are E/E in an E!Stick world - Stick's posts and PMs just kinda don't suggest it (sorry, rushing) but I could see E!Raven in a V!Stick world, maybe partnered with E!TJ. Would like to hear more from BridgeBoi and Stormy. Feel pressure there is warranted. Hoid Slayer still looks Village to me. Reasons haven't shifted. I kinda want to V!lean TUF still. Reasons not terribly shifted. Also want to V!lean STINK for vibes still, acknowledge at some point I must get off that fence but it won't be right now. Well. Time to fight the transport system. Edited to add: Oh yeah if it's not signalled - conflicted on TJ, if Stick flips E he's probably just V here barring some weird Rysn game BS again (someone who isn't rushing look up the dynamics of their mutual suspicion), but I lean E for the moment. I think they're only E/E in a three Elim world, and even then, not sure how much I'd buy it. -
