  1. I think it's more an issue of she has used her reserves than she cannot metabolize fat into Stormlight. You are still metabolizing fat into energy, and so I would assume that, by his words, she can they choose to metabolize those storages into Stormlight as well. Wyndle made the same speculation in Words of Radiance.
  2. To the American sharders celebrating the holiday, Happy Thanksgiving, to everyone else, happy regular day! Why did the turkey cross the road? You can't tell chicken jokes on Thanksgiving!
  3. Just to give another example of this concept, Wizards of the Coast originally wanted to trademark their trading card game as simply 'Magic' but they were denied because it was too generic a term to have a trademark, so that's why the game is called 'Magic:The Gathering." Eerongal's explanation fits with everything I understand about it as a layperson.
  4. Thanks. I think we can about lay that to rest then. Pretty conclusive.
  5. Based on the fact that she says to 'warn him' that she's looking for him, I don't think we have any choice but to assume negative connotations. Given that we don't have any other likely candidates to have brought Nightblood over, it just feels unrealistic to assume anything else.
  6. She directly states to warn him that she's looking for him. I don't even think we need to assume at this point.
  7. Welcome back! I have to say I am surprised this was your reaction. I honestly loved the way Adolin was handled in Kholinar (with the obvious exception of the lack of viewpoint time.) I thought it was nice to finally see him on screen displaying his fashion side, it's one of the only hobbies we've seen him display other than dueling. The fact that it makes other people, especially other lighteyes, immediately write him off as a for I thought made a lot of sense given what we learn of Evi and the huge differences between her and Alethi culture. It really smacked into me that Dalinar's influence has kept Adolin grounded in a way we haven't appreciated before. I definitely agree that his storylines feel anticlimactic, I just don't think it's out of character.
  8. If anyone was going to slip by this post without giving it an upvote, could you do me a favor and give Seloun another one for me? One isn't enough.
  9. @JoyBlu It's not as flashy as the others, but I ran with it. How did I do?
  10. Oh wow! Thanks.
  11. Dalinar connected all three realms. The spiritual realm is 'beyond,' (This is not true, see below) and Odium's power is mostly centered there. He's also about as close to the perpendicularity as anyone else there. Odium is focused in her because she is actively ruining his plan. In the context of the scene, Evi is more in front of him than Honor or Adonalsium, as her voice is present in the scene, making her consciousness present. Honor and Adonalsium, while their power is present, aren't in the scene as far as consciousness in concerned. Only Dalinar. He addresses himself as 'Unity' but his viewpoint is still from Dalinar.
  12. I really enjoy how you phrased your post about owning your actions. It's pretty significant to me that Kaladin still hasn't owned up to Shallan personally about Helaran.
  13. Speaking of unexplored consequences.
  14. I added black smoke and attached Nightblood to his back.
  15. Thanks, I'm sorry. I feel like a total jerk and rightfully so.
  16. I just edited it lol. I tried seven times to find your post before posting that to give you credit I swear! I finished the edit as you posted. The time stamp will back me up, your hyperlinking genius made me into a fool. I've never been able to get that to work right. I'm sorry.
  17. @Calderis Thanks, that makes since with the WoB provided earlier. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/76-shadows-of-self-chicago-signing/#e6304 Mistborn spoilers
  18. I have tomorrow off, I was tempted to follow him wherever if there was going to be a second event and a magic game like what happened at the Words of Radiance signing. I couldn't make it work then. But it's awesome that he's willing to push through feeling crappy to even keep the event. He's such a great guy.
  19. There's an update on the event everyone should be aware of, especially arcanists.
  20. This heavily implies that Odium has access to both Fortune and the Spiritual Realm.
  21. I've been thinking about this, and I think we might be proscribing too large a significance to who he is talking about. Here's the scene condensed. As much as I also want to put huge cosmeric weight to those words, I think Odium is more concerned with the immediate present. He's also probably as familiar with shardic theory as anyone is, having splintered multiple shards after ascending himself, and he repeatedly states that as Bondsmith Dalinar has authority to speak/act for Honor, so it seems unlikely that he would be surprised at a shard starting to coalesce around Dalinar, the one most currently aligned with its power. Instead, I think Odium is entirely fixated on this moment and why it failed. I don't think it's an unfair assumption to think that Odium is seeing similar visions to Renarin and flat out assumed Dalinar would bend to his will without much of a fight. The reason for this is because they removed the biggest obstacle to this moment years ago. I use 'they' in the same context I think Odium is using 'we:' Dalinar and Odium. I think Odium is talking about Evi. Odium was sure that by using the thrill to have Dalinar kill the one source of light in his life, he had recruited himself a champion for life, but then Dalinar reaches into the spiritual realm and receives forgiveness and peace, destroying Odium's plans and visions. In that moment of shock, he cannot comprehend someone reaching out from the spiritual realm, especially an obstacle that he and Dalinar took care of. His shock is manifested in what he says. "No! No! Dalinar and I killed Evi. WE KILLED YOU! YOU CAN'T FORGIVE HIM" (My interpretation added.)
  22. Fair point. I'll report the post and raise the question, then leave it up to the admins. Nightblood is made out of toothpicks and duct tape, then painted. I kind of regret making Nightblood sheathed since he's not as easy to recognize this way, but it still looks good. The paint is acrylic from Folkart. I'm going to the Anderson's Bookshop signing tomorrow in Naperville (Chicago.)
  23. A while back, my girlfriend found a couple DIY Funko Pop! figures and a few weeks ago I decided it would be really cool to make one of them into a gift for Brandon for the Oathbringer tour. I give you Szeth-Son-Neturo, a Stormlight Archives Funko Pop! Figure.
