Maybe. I'll admit, I'm not entirely sure. I just know it happened before, with the same name, and I am pretty sure Araris was involved that time too.
-
I may as well get the ball rolling today, so Araris. For House Urbain. I seem to recall, several years ago, a similar faction based game (might have been MR6, but I don't recall for sure), where a few players took it upon themselves to completely overturn the rules of the game by creating their own faction - House Urbain. So, since Araris claimed House Urbain, and since I'd rather not see the experienced players trying to screw over the game again, my vote is for him. Oh, and in case anyone is wondering about Araris' Urbain claim, it happened to his Romantic partner, who is also a member of my House (not me). So, either Araris lied to conceal his House identity (and lying to a lover is pretty bad), or is trying to reestablish House Urbain in a game that once again does not have that House as part of it (so circumventing the rules). Either is cause for lynching, if you ask me.

You think I'm an Orator? You are mistaken. Look at the day one vote. I voted for Shqueeves, one of three votes, and one of three people voting - I can't be an Orator. Edit: I see where the misunderstanding may have occurred. I had two votes on me that cycle, but only one voter.
-
Itiah, because why not?
-
It seems someone cancelled Shqueeves' vote, so just Arinian as the Orator. Whoever it was that cancelled Shqueeves' vote, thank you for helping me survive

Someone really wanted Fifth dead.

Because...

You should respect your elders instead

I suspect neither... How old are you? Oh, I see you edited your post... Pokemon Gold and Silver, not pkmn. See, vowels are good. They are your friends. Now if you'd said that originally, I would have had a better idea of what you were talking about. Still not sure on the 'default name' bit though. Do your enemies in the Pokemon games not have names? Yeah, now pretty sure you should be neither disappointed by the next generation, or feel old. If you were into Pokemon, then you are probably younger than I am.
-
I have no idea what you are talking about here.

For now, Shqueeves. Simply for being too lazy to pick himself a name to use. I considered doing this last day cycle, but felt it best to give him a chance.

From what we know of Lift and the Nightwatcher, it is my suspicion that Lift went and asked to 'not change,' after which the Nightwatcher tried to turn Lift into one of the other sentient, but never changing, entities on Roshar, a Spren. This explains why she can metabolize Stormlight (we see one of the Honorspren court doing exactly that with Rock's offering), and potentially explains why she can convert food into Stormlight (she was human, now is part Spren. Humans eat food to survive, Spren need Stormlight. Converting from one easily accessible source into the more difficult could well be a side effect). It could also explain why she can touch other Spren - because she is partially one of them anyways. Anyways, I know I'm probably wrong, but it's a thought.

It's only his 7th post. I was like this when I first joined and spouted a bunch of stuff that contained massive mistakes. Instead of laughing and taking the piss though, people were kind enough to correct me, and aim me at the Coppermind.

@Straw - Just to confirm... Means one cycle is both a day plus a night, right? Also, someone asked but I don't recall seeing a reply, when you say 'death by inactivity,' do you mean the player is inactive just in this thread, or does it cover being inactive in thread, PMs, and docs?

If your character is not allowed Donald Trump style hair/toupee, why not instead ask if your character can be a mind-controlling alien that just so happens to look like Donald Trump's hairdo?

Looking entirely like just another court dandy, Jynx entered the ball. He looked like he was having a brilliant time, although in reality, he hated the fashion - It was so uncomfortable. Still, when one is attempting to blend in, one must look the part, no matter how ludicrous. Choosing to forgo the dancing, Jynx instead retired to the dining tables, where he sat, to talk with others about what the future may hold.

Thank you for clarifying. I didn't think it would be, but always good to check. Also, thanks for the timer

The number is of Desolations is never mentioned, it is just implied it is 'lots'. But, when you are thinking about world-breaking horrific cataclysms, 16 is quite a few. Plus, with less and less time between each one (until the Heralds broke the Oathpact and gave Roshar a break), the knowledge that would have survived even at the end of the last Desolation would have long since faded into legend and lore by the time WoK rolls around. It's perfectly feasible for there to have only been fifteen Desolations, but the characters believing there to have been many more. While I prefer my theory on the Heralds, I'm not going to discount your idea. It actually has a lot of potential when considered, since it is never really explained how Odium tempted and corrupted the original Singers. Unmaking something from their rhythms could provide a way. Moelach, associated with foresight... Rhythm of anticipation, perhaps? Literally, looking forward to something.

@Straw When you get a moment, could we please have one of those countdown windows for the end of the cycle? They are really handy to people outside your timezone Out of curiosity, how does everyone feel about House reveals? Since there is no traditional eliminator faction, and we know there are five factions, should we have a volunteer from each House tell us the name of their House? Edit: Straw, when people attend Luthadel balls, they are announced as they enter. Will people in the night time group PMs be announced as "So-and-So of House Random?"
-
Typical, Jynx thought, hurrying through streets that were just starting to stir to the day's labour. Not settled in Luthadel five minutes, and a house war kicks off. Just my luck. Still, where there is conflict, there is profit. Jynx turned off from his current path, to offer his services to one of the houses for the upcoming war.

My theory on the Unmade is that they were created out of fragments of the Heralds, possibly when they were broken on Braize. The link to the discussion is in my signature.

@Straw Thanks for the reply. Ok, so random ability, so it's more like a compensation than a consolidation. That's fine. I'm not so sure on the second answer though. Say a house has 3 players, and they get two actions each. That's six actions per cycle. If a house has gone mostly inactive and left just one player active, that one player might have access to four or five allomantic abilities, but their chances of winning the house war are negligible, since compared to every other house, they have far fewer actions. Maybe more options for a single player, maybe not more options than a house. Have you considered setting the number of actions that can be taken as per house, instead of per player?
-
So, if someone is the only member of their faction that is active, they will collect everyone's allomantic powers? Yet, I am assuming they will still be limited to the same number of actions as everyone else, putting the house with inactives at a distinct disadvantage. Or are actions (excluding votes, I assume) numbered per house, and not per player? I'm just wondering how much this has been considered.

Jasnadin. I think seeing Jasnah and Kaladin paired off could provide much entertainment. Especially if it is an arranged, political marriage.
-
@Sart - What about being a pinch hitter instead then? Or is it a pitch hitter? I'm never quite sure. @Straw - Is anything being done about inactives? I only ask because I recall a previous House War game where I was the only active member of my House.
