Just to confirm, that's midnight UK time, right?

Legless looked mournfully at the corpses of the madman and his twin brother. Strange how they had died in the exact same pose. But there went, he felt, their best chance of success. The mad always knew stuff, and now their secrets would never be shared. And Gandalf... Where had the grey one come from? Legless was pretty sure he hadn't been here last night. And there were two of him too. How did that happen? Some weird magical distortion probably. He took a swig of breakfast from his never-ending jug, and turned to listen to the accusations flying. When all had calmed down, he said into the quiet, "Zoe sedtoyu hewas the grey'un, and that the fellow wi'the sword is evil? An'thenhedied, leafin' everthin' yusfull t'kno't'yu?" He took another swig, forcing the thought through the haze he lived in. "Ahdun'by't. Too convenent. W'shud'kil'Dorder. W'cn'allus kill th'biggun the morn."

Ha! Out in the open this whole time and I didn't even realise! Fortunately, nor did anyone else

Legless stumbled near silently through the forest with the others. He was confident in their numbers, a good squad of thirty remained, or thereabouts, even with the deaths. He took a swig of his berry brewed wine, remembering the day when Fedder... Fed... Fid?.. the brown wizard who was always high on mushrooms, enchanted the flask for him so it would never run out. The forest seemed quiet, so he tuned his ears into the conversation the others were having. They were talking in pairs, with each pair saying the exact same thing, at the exact same time! There was something odd going on here. His foggy mind tried to make sense of it all when their words penetrated to his mind. They were talking about murdering someone! Had he found the killers? By accident? He almost whipped his knife out attacked one of them then and there, but remembered several instances where rushing in without all the info had really not worked well, so he held his peace and kept listening. Good thing too. They weren't talking about their next murder, not in the traditional sense, at least. They were talking about murdering the murderer they though responsible for the murders, and seemed to think it as that Dorder fellow. As he widened his listening, he realised that this conversation was far more widespread than he thought, with several others suggesting names for people to die. He took a swig of his fine berry wine to brace himself against the crazy. After listening to the madness for a few hours, Legless finally made his choice. "Immazidin wivvahim," he announced, while waving his jug in the direction of the madman who spoke absolute gibberish. "Amin lukatim. E's touched, heiz. Madnuff t'be th'brown'un'hissel. " He tapped his forehead knowingly. "The'z knoztuff. Soye, killatun." His jug moved to point to Suomynona.

Mid-Range Game 30/Anonymous Game 2: - Scadrian Black Ops
Bort replied to Seonid's topic in Sanderson Elimination
From my perspective the bodyswapping went pretty well, but then I wasn't really at a computer for rollover much. Rand, I think Seonid starting doing that after your bodyswap. At least, later bodies came with a message saying they had been hijacked. -

I only needed a couple of quiet cycles to choose my next host. I've just read the spec doc, and I have to say, thanks everyone that was rooting for me at the end there. Sorry to have let you all down -
Mid-Range Game 30/Anonymous Game 2: - Scadrian Black Ops

Thanks guys, and I say again, really well done to the EIB team. You had me backed into a corner, and I didn't even know it. @Seonid - Brilliant game, thanks for making me the Kandra. That was so much fun @Fifth Scholar - Awesome write ups. I only got Itiah and Snipexe right. Everyone else I either saw their name in 'wrong account' posts, or was completely off the mark. @randuir - Sorry for the bodysnatch, but when you said you were going to be mostly quiet for the next two cycles, it was too good an opportunity to pass up. -
Right, now I am back on my proper account and need not fear posting from the wrong one, I can give this game the attention it deserves. Apologies for my lack of activity so far. I'll read through the game so far, and come back later with a vote.

"Zoats Wereyuzar," a bleary eyed elf announced as he stumbled through the undergrowth and into the group. He clutched a bow in one hand, and an earthenware bottle in the other. "Whadidimis?" He paused to watch them, blinking owlishly like he was trying to focus his eyes, before taking another swig from his bottle, then offering it round. Hi guys, sorry I'm a bit late to the party, I had a rather busy weekend. I'll have a proper read through posts soon, but it does seem to be mostly RP. Not that I'm going to complain about that

I'm with RShara here. I think it will be worded something like, "I will forgive myself my failures, in order to better protect the living."

I think it's because she is cut off from part of her soul, namely Re-shepir. See the link in my signature for details.

[OB] Okay, so who exactly had the cold?
Bort replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Stormlight Archive
I just feel I should point out here, the Spanish didn't bring disease to the Americas, they brought new and interesting diseases to the Americas, but not all disease. I'll stop being pedantic now -
kholinar (OB) A proper speculation on what’s Beneath Kholinar
Bort replied to SzethIsBadAsHell's topic in Stormlight Archive
I also recall Szeth hiding the sphere in Jah Keved, but that's an entire country, not just a city. I think the spheres held voidspren, and the one given to Eshonai was how Venli discovered stormform. There is a comment saying they learned to trap spren from the humans so I think it makes sense. I still prefer my 'Unmade are Heralds' theory (in my signature) but thats an interesting idea about Dai'gonarthis. -
I'm in. Sign me up as Legless, the alcoholic Elf.

Well played, guys. Good to see the bad guys win one MrDoctor, I'll have to add my name to the list of people that now consider you to be a scary player of the game - I have no idea how you managed to pull the wool over their eyes so completely.

Well, after today, that's me inactive, most likely until dead (I'm assuming this was the 'defense' that was mentioned in an earlier post?) but since I'm not dead yet, and should probably do something useful for once, I'll help solidify the vote on Snipexe.

A highlight from the Royal Family's twitter feed showing how the Royals are now getting in on the whole investiture thing... Ok, so they were actually talking about awarding people for playing cricket, which isn't nearly as entertaining to consider, but well done to the winners anyways.

Hi guys, I'm here, but with bad news. A slight, temporary lack of internet at home means it isn't really feasible for me to continue this game, which is really annoying since it just started. This would basically mean I am here for the end of the first three cycles, then am off for the next four. Not a great start to a QF. Sorry Straw, I know this was really bad timing Bort.

So, I know I'm not the only one who seems to be a bit confused by all of these abbreviations and acronyms flying round the SE boards, so I'm starting this thread in the hopes that someone will come and explain them. Some I already know... IKYK - I know you know - A pointless, circular argument in which either side could be right, and there just isn't enough information to decide either way. Tunneling - Concentrating most, if not all, of your attention/votes onto one person. Pocketing - Taking deliberate tactics to distance yourself from another player. Then there are others, which I have no idea about, like the one about wolves? If anyone can explain all of these terms/phrases used, please do so. Can I also recommend we sticky this, so new players have somewhere handy to look up stuff?

@Straw - If we place a vote for Lopen, will it count as a vote on both of them?
