Welcome to PART FIVE of the Overlady Reads Oathbringer! It's the home stretch people!

After this mammoth series of covering all of Oathbringer (Did you guys know Oathbringer is like... really long?), we've finally reached the end. Considering Part Five is the shortest Part of the book, you can't be THAT surprised that it's our longest video. A lot happens in Part Five, and there's a lot to talk about.

In this chapter of Rhythm of War, we see Kaladin be Kaladin, and we get a very interesting conversation with Kaladin and an old favorite. Producer Ghost Eric also joins near the end (no longer disembodied) to talk a bit too!

This episodes covers the Shadesmar fun times with Kashadolenna with a dash of Dalinar on the side. We talk about our theories and thoughts on these parts, along with our reactions when we first read them.

The Original, an audio-only story cowritten by Brandon Sanderson and Mary Robinette Kowal came out on September 14th. It's science fiction about clones and lots of other things! In this episode, we blab all about it, and yes, The Original is over three hours long and we talked just below two hours twenty minutes on this. Yeah that's a sizable fraction of the audiobook! Over 50% of it in fact, and you know what, we could have talked more about it. There's so much to delve into!

These Rhythm of Previews episodes keep getting longer, but I think after Chapter 14, this is very justified. There is just so much to unpack on this one chapter! I suppose it's not particularly surprising these episodes are longer and longer. This book is just so full of things. Enjoy!

Hi all and welcome to the Overlady Reads Oathbringer, Part 1!

In the lead up to Rhythm of War, come with us as Lucy reads Oathbringer for the first time. We decided to do this book with one video per part because, and I don't know if you guys noticed, these books are really goddamn long!

We figured that after Dawnshard and Rhythm of War, we're going to be a *bit* busy, and we had a huge queue of Who's That Cosmere Characters, so let's get through a bunch of them now! And oh boy we get off the rails here, but we have lots of fun! You could say there's lots of Fafen around.

That's right folks, more book news! Brandon took to Reddit this evening to bring us the FIRST in a series of updates on Skyward 3! You can read the update in the r/BrandonSanderson subreddit.

Sanderson reports that he'll be taking the next week to update his outline for novel, which is in pretty good shape. After a quick break to finalize Dawnshard, he plans to begin the writing the book on October 1st. Keep an eye out for the next update in November!

Hi all and welcome to The Overlady Reads Edgedancer! This one is a little shorter than the others, due to Edgedancer being a smaller book. Hope you all enjoy this tidbit before we tackle the behemoth that is Oathbringer!

Rhythm of Previews, our readthrough of the Rhythm of War preview chapters, is onto chapter 10! It's a short chapter, but lots to discuss here!

We finish off Words of Brandon (well, at least since we recorded this) for the first half of 2020. Here we get some pretty good ones like whether Skybreakers could follow the pirate code, and more!

We knew the audio original story The Original, written by Brandon with Mary Robinette Kowal, would come out September 14th, but we barely heard anything about it, considering it was coming so soon. This changed yesterday and now we have the cover, synopsis, and a sample of The Original.
