B. Don't worry, I have a plan.

C. It has to do with Insight, and connection.

D? Once again, it has to do with Insight and connection.

Roues followed Lilli as she entered the alley, using Iron to track her. At the sound of gunshots he instinctively pulled the bullets toward his chest plate.

Prière ran past him, dropping at Lilli’s side and pressed a medallion into her hand. “Tap this,” he said urgently.

Tzalum stepped out, his eyes narrowed. “Come with me. I need to get you somewhere safe.”

Um, this no longer happened.

Lilliana was not responding. One of the bullets had happened to sever her spinal cord, and completely killed her.

-----------------------------------------------

Lilliana was very, very mad. She had been in shock for a minute, but quickly snapped out of it. She had seen the direction the guy had gone, and was now trying to follow him. She saw puffs of smoke, and followed the trail of them until she was standing in front of a building. Then the guy had re-appeared.

Quote

That doesn’t kill you immediately. And Roues pulled the bullets away, remember? Besides, it takes a few minutes for the Connection to sever and they got the medallion to her immediately. She’s not brain dead. She can heal.

We could say the bullets and gun were aluminum and she had her brains blown out. You can’t heal that.

Prière hit the guy before he could transform by moving faster than he spoke.

I’ve given you a list of the GBs abilities, btw.

Hoblim kept memorizing Exodus. He has nothing against it, it was just that... He kind of liked fantasy books more. That was probably a problem. He checked his stored memories a few times, trying to make sure he memorized them right. It would be better storing the memories without his personal opinions. He started succeeding fast enough, and now was memorizing the parts about the Tabernacle.

Fixed that. She got shot with aluminum bullets now, and one got her in the neck, one in the forehead, and the other in the shoulder. The dude is laying on the ground, laughing creepily.

Lilliana was dead. And also panicking. "AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" She screamed as she ran around, arms flailing. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" After a minute she calmed down. "What was that?" She said weakly. "And isn't Harmony supposed to be here? I'll figure that out later." She walked to her dead body. "Wow. That looks way more painful that it was." She noted. She then glared at the guy who had killed her. "You said your boss." She said, well aware that he couldn't hear her. "I'll need to figure out who that is..."

------------------------------------

Charlie (the killer) was laughing. He hadn't killed anyone before, and it had been way harder that he had ever imagined. Of course, he'd do it again if the boss asked...

Roues scowled as he saw the blood pooling beneath Lilliana’s head. Master Thaidakar was not going to like this. He tapped his duralumin medallion, informing his boss of events while Priére tied up the shooter.

Over in the mansion, Kelsier abruptly grew grim, a dangerous aura forming about him. Get rid of her body, he ordered, before turning his attention back to the three remaining.

”Head to the basement,” he told them. “Trésor, keep an eye on the door until Fouet and  Braiser get down, then seal the entry behind them. I’ll arm the house as I leave.”

He pulled off his jacket and gloves as he spoke, then flicked a switch on the end of his cane. The mechanism inside whirled to life, the upper portion extending upward and to the sides, becoming a spear. Kelsier took a small pistol from the inside of his jacket, attaching it to his waist. A pair of obsidian daggers and a bag of coins followed.

Over in the alley, Roues pulled a small stick of dynamite, laying it beside Lilli’s body. He lifted the captive, tossing him over his shoulder before walking around the corner. Tzalum stood there, talking to a stranger.

A moment later a blur emerged from the alley just as a massive “BANG!” resounded. The three Ghostbloods nodded grimly.

Priére reclaimed his captive from Roues, then ran. It wouldn’t do for the constables to notice him kidnapping a man. A moment later he was slipping into a basement, then into a hidden cellar lined with aluminum.

He slammed the murderer into a chair tying him down more tightly than necessary. Priére did not like those who harmed children or killed innocents. Such was a violation of the Survivor’s will, the man Priére had given his life and service to.

Hoblim stumbled to a standing posture, putting his book back in the bag and closing it. He started going to the basement, then, after a moment of hesitation, grabbed Lilliana's things, pushing them into her bag and taking it with him, too. He didn't know if and when she'll return, but he probably should keep her things. Then, he run to the basement.

"...What are they..." She briskly walked away. "Wow. This is really, really weird." She decided to follow the steelrunner as best as she could. The man had neglected to close any doors, so she was able to follow.

Charlie looked at the steelrunner calmly. He knew that getting slammed into the chair should hurt, but it didn't. "Are you going to torture me for information?" he asked calmly.

Please, do remember how the Scadrial CR looks like. Yes, I have read SH. It took touching things to see them. You can see lights moving fast, which you can assume are with your killer. I really don't know about passing through doors, so I guess that's normal. And you're probably Invested enough for a short stay, but nothing more. The Beyond will call you.

And really, why didn't Harmony come? We've seen that he's not too busy to attend deaths. He should notice someone dying. Of course, you already knew that.

Fine. I'll explain. *sobs*

A. When we were transported to Scadrial, Insight literally pushed some of his/her connection into us. It's kind of like a sliver thing, but not quite. I'm going to say she has the lowest amount of investiture necessary to cognitive shadow her.

B. Insight's connection interfered. Somehow.

He shut the cellar entry. So now he’s in an aluminum room.

Mystic frowned from where she stood at the pier on the edge of the canal. “Babsk,” she called, “Chance says I need to go there,” she pointed in the direction of the city.

Écho nodded. “Take the small boat. Rahasy, go with her.”

The solemn Awakener nodded, climbing into the small whaleboat. He flicked the allomantic engine, sending the boat across the misty city.

Chance flew ahead, guiding Mystic as she stood at the helm, her long eyebrows flowing behind her.

Elsewhere....

Priére shook his head. “Not I,” he said, removing the spear hanging about his neck, laying it before the murderer, “but my Lord. Pray to him for mercy, for I have none for men such as you.”

Kelsier sealed the front door, activating the hidden protections around the house. “Ene!” He called. “Contact the octant leaderships. Then the outer cities. Then find my brother. I doubt he’ll be pleased about this either.”

The Survivor flung himself into the air, swallowing a vial of small steel balls. These weren’t ordinary allomantic stores: he had filled them with speed earlier, allowing him to burn their Feruchemical stores. He did so, soaring across the city in a blur of mist.

He drew on his stored Ironsight as he did so, watching with blue spiritual lines, his bronze flairing alongside. It didn’t take him long to find what he was looking for. She was in the basement, unable to access the cellar.

”Hello, Lilli,” the Survivor said, cheerfully. “Ghosthood isn’t all its cut out to be, is it?”

"I didn't think it would be that great in the first place..." She said. "And dying hurt way less than I thought it would." And it looks really cool. "It's just my luck that I died in less than a day." she said, feeling very irritated about that.

Whoops! Thanks!

Trésor stood guard, drawing an aluminum revolver, as she waited for everyone to get to the basement.

Elsewhere:

Priére didn’t bother to answer.

”Pretty sure you’re not a day old,” Kelsier said, grinning. “And death has its benefits. You won’t be aging anymore. With practice you’ll be able to look however you want, too.”

In the CR:

Chance fluttered down to Mystic’s shoulder as she approached - “Master Thaidakar?” She asked, startled. Her master’s flame was distinct, glowing with the brilliant light of the Investiture suffusing his essence.

”Who’s the girl?” Rahasy wondered, as he turned off the motor, bringing the boat to a halt.

"I meant a day in this world." She grumbled. She then looked at the person. Who's that?

Charlie started laughing creepily again. "Do you think I'm scared?" He said with a laugh. "I'll welcome death when it comes to me. And I like pain." His eyes showed that he wasn't all there mentally.

“Your ride,” Kelsier said cheerfully. “I don’t only have people in the physical realm.” He smiled at the Ghostbloods. “Keep an eye on her, alright?”

Mystic nodded. “Of course, Master Thaidakar.”

Rahasy motioned to the bench in the center of the boat. “Get in. Colors girl, don’t dawdle. We don’t have all day.”

Mystic is Thaylen, just to note. They’re both offworlders.

“Take her to the base,” Kelsier ordered. “Someone’s already killed her once today; I’d rather they didn’t do it twice.”

Rahasy nodded, starting the motor as Mystic turned the helm.

Kelsier watched a moment longer, than entered the cellar. The aluminum would shield them from unwanted eyes. Sazed’s, for example.

Priére bowed deeply as the Survivor dropped lightly in to the cellar. “My Lord.”

Kelsier nodded, then turned his brilliant, dangerous smile on the Assassin. “So how do you like your accommodations? Priére treating you well? I have to compliment your shooting; the girl survived just fine, so no harm, no foul, right?” For a given definition of survival, anyway.

He grinned, settling himself backward in a chair. “So just answer some questions and I’ll be happy to let you go Mr.... What did you say your name was again?”
