Wait, what? "Are you saying that there's another person from Earth nearby?" She said, surprised yet also a bit excited.

"Ha. It's ridiculous to think we're excited to meet someone from earth when just two days ago we thought EVERYONE was from earth."

I frown. "Say, how did these other civilizations hide from us anyway? We have massive telescopes and radio receivers and stuff- was some shard isolating us?"

He shook his head, smiling mysteriously as he unlocked the door. “Not yet.”

Grinning, he stepped inside the building, walking until he stood in the center of the mosaic on the floor. “Welcome to your new home.”

She walked inside, wide eyed. She was having trouble not gaping. Wow. I have no words.

She turned around. "We don't know how far away the different solar systems are." She then paused. "Which actually makes everything much more confusing. Like how we traveled here as quickly as we did without either dying, or a perpendicularity. And is Earth a Shardworld? If so, where's the investiture?" She felt confused. "I mean, I have a few theories, but my theories are rarely right, so..." She trailed off.

“We’re closer than you’d expect,” Kelsier explained, “but that’s still light years apart. And someone needs to be projecting radio waves before they can be received.

”You haven’t had a Shard long, from what I understand. It had only been there a few years when I last dealt with its avatar personally. That was... eight years ago, from your perspective. It’s 2020? 2021? Somewhen around there, right?

“It gets complicated, because time doesn’t exist as such in the Spiritual Realm. It was centuries ago for me.”

And now you have a perfect explanation for how we can end up on Roshar fifteen years after events occurred. Time is weird in the Spiritual Realm!

Thanks!

Huh. "Early 2021. Why we couldn't have been transported here in, say, march of last year, I don't know. It would have made life a heck of a lot better." She sighed. "But there's no use crying over spilled milk."

"Uh... Alright. Anyway, who is this visitor?" I say, but things just aren't clicking in my head.

I was going to go into a rant  about how we would definitely be able to tell there were other civilizations (or at least life) on other planets, especially at scadrial-level tech and distance (which I would definitely do in real life) but I realized that would just overcomplicate things, so...

Go ahead. I mean, when Dannex's character was saying we were all figments of his imagination, my character was ready to spout out lots of random information. Like the life cycle of Malaria, for example.

Yes. I want to know that too.

The issue wasn't the scientific rant, the issue is that someone would have to come up with a reason those wouldn't work, and that's just pointless page filler.

Faith stepped out of the obscure room she'd found at the library and walked into... someplace that was definitely not the library. She frowned. Where was she? Faith turned around, but the doorway was gone. There was a building behind her. Maybe they'd know where she was? She walked up and knocked on the door.

The door isn't closed yet, so are you knocking on a door somewhere else?

Oh, wait. I forgot about time skipping. Poof. We are all inside with the door closed.

There was a knock on the door. "I'll get it." Lilliana opened the door. Her eyes widened, and then she grinned. "Let me guess, you got magically teleported here, and you don't know how."

"Oh, the same thing happened to me. And those two." She gestured in the general direction of her companions. "And I'm guessing you are also a fan of Brandon Sanderson books, and have a account on the Shard." She grinned. "It's been a trend..."

"Scadrial." She said happily. "So, no COVID."

Your character doesn't happen to have a Book of Mormon on her, does she?

Occasionally... let's say yes.

"Scadrial? Like... Mistborn Scadrial?"

A realization struck her. "Oh! I forgot to mention! Your sister was part of our group not to long ago. She ditched us, but I thought you might want to know."
