“I apologize,” Lord Elariel told Hoblim, “but it was the best we could do on short notice. You are the only one here who can turn on the fires and watch the kitchens, and we weren’t certain which ingredients were allowed without supervising the initial production.

”Hopefully, we’ll be able to arrange something better for the future. Though I’m afraid you will have to manage without meat, unless you know how to slaughter?”

Lilliana started eating. FOOD! She ignored the sausage, but ate some of everything else. Especially the mushrooms and eggs.

"No, I don't." Said Hoblim. "But I can live without meat. Thank you for the effort."

“We can arrange fish,” Trésor told him. “I’ve given an overview of the basic laws to one of our members, and he’ll cook for you for the duration of your stay. You’ll have to explain your particular traditions, however. Everything is new and we can arrange a place for you to toivel the utensils.”

Lord Elariel nodded, delicately dipping his toast into the cream. “Your apartment is near a stable. I’ve arranged for a milk cow to be transported there; she should arrive later today. You’ll have to supervise the milking, of course.”

Wait, what? Apartment? I'm confused. Was I paying to much attention to my food? Did I miss something?

No, but you’ll have to ask if you want to know more.

“The kosher kitchen has two of everything,” Trésor continued. “So you should be able to tell the difference easily. Both kitchens border the dining area, but not each other.”

”We’ve arranged two chefs,” Lord Elariel added, “so cross contamination issues should be minimal. If any of the rest of you have dietary concerns, feel free to inform Ms. Fouet. Mr. Braiser will be cooking for Hoblim.”

Hoblim is taken aback. "I must admit, this is very surprising. I never expected that if I'll pass to a parallel universe my religious needs will actually be taken care of. Though... You said apartment? Can you please explain what's going on? And members? Of what group?"

“We’ve arranged a place for you to stay,” Kelsier said languidly. “As to the latter... Let’s just say that I’m the leader of an organization with some interest in your circumstances. Unless you’ve read the latest book released by Mr. Sanderson,” he smirked, “in which case you can probably guess.”

Jeez guys, I need to sleep, but apparently to keep up with this to I need to be awake 24/7

What does that mean? I wonder at Hoblim's drawing of... One of the allomantic metal symbols. I still hadn't quite told them that I hadn't memorized the steel alphabet's meanings like they apparently had. I mean, I could read it because of magic-y stuff, but it came across as just a single 'f'.

I am quickly distracted by our food arriving, however. Ah, food. At least I wouldn't lose you like I lost technology. And modern music.

And workers' rights.

I chow down, mostly ignoring the dietary conversation happening across from me. I was an atheist, so I had no quarrels eating whatever they gave me. (Though, to be fair, being christian and LDS wouldn't exactly change that, other than coffee and alcohol, neither of which are exactly appealing to me in any way.)

You know, I’m noticing a distinct lack of manners here. Your characters could thank Kell and Trésor for arranging breakfast!

Dietary considerations aren’t all religious, btw. There could be allergies, intolerances, or someone could be a vegetarian.

I choke a little on my food. Oh. That was what Hoblim meant.

Well that was lucky. Or perhaps very, very unlucky

Oh, and we should probably get a row spoiler tag.

Fine by me. I mostly didn't put one there so that people could join if they hadn't read RoW, but as all current active people have, I'll add a spoiler tag.

The religion discussed was Judaism. Technically, christianity and LDS were only mentioned in spoiler tags.

And BTW, I believe the symbols also convey the metal, so it's possible you should've been able to understand it. It also was on the Allomantic metals table I wrote, but admittedly, this one was in Hebrew. You might've been able to see it in the newly written steel alphabet - Hebrew - English table.

You're right about RoW spoilers, of course. Though we tried to keep them off...

And I'm to blame in this RP working 24 hours a day, though you needn't worry about the 7 part. Both me and Kingsdaughter won't reply at all on Saturdays. Sorry about the fact I make it work 24 hours - I blame my time zone, which is UTC +2, I believe. Which is at least seven hours from you.

Forgot to actually reply. Sorry.

Hoblim almost choked on his food himself. "W- why is your organization interested in our circumstances?"

Ah, the ultimate question: why. It never gets answered, and now is no exception, I suspect.

And my reason for being on a lot is because I have minor case of insomnia. It only takes effect occasionally.

It probably has something to do with the fact that we all worldhopped without a perpendicularly. And are apparently mistings or ferrings.

I’m not helpful either since my job tends to be caring for my kids all day. I also tend to go to bed late.

I’m not entirely sure what Random expected asking Kell to be in this RP... Although we have avoided it on Forged Iron by virtue of playing it tongue in cheek. (Ie. Everyone knows, but we never actually say Ghostbloods. We just call them Kell’s crew. That has operations across the Cosmere.)

Trésor smiled mysteriously as she spooned some of her egg onto her toast. “We can head over there after breakfast. I’ve arranged a motorcar to take us there.”

Kelsier nodded, taking a croissant from the bread pile and coating it with a thick layer of butter. “A tailor will arrive later in the day to take your measurements. You should find some fashion folios in the living room. You’ll receive regular day wear of course, but I thought you might like a little more say for evening garb. If you have any color preferences, feel free to let Mr. Aiguilles know.”

Yeah, you can do that. Also, I'd been meaning to allow RoW spoilers after noticing that all active people had read it, but I am a huge procrastinator. And very forgetful. Who knew that those together cause problems? :P

Lilliana was confused, so she grabbed her rubix cube. She looked at the coffee. If I wasn't LDS... I wish I had a caffeinated soda. Or my meds. CURSE YOU SCADRIAL FOR NOT HAVING CAFFINE THAT ISN'T COFFEE! She was having a very hard time focusing, and the confusion made it worse. Fidgeting helped, so she was able to calm down a bit more. Pacing also helped, but she decided against it.

Hoblim noticed that Lilliana looked stressed and confused. He couldn't blame her. He himself wasn't at his best. This whole thing was a little... Overwhelming. He wondered whether he should try again to ask why, but decided that it'd be futile. Besides, if he could say anything he should probably start with 'I think Lilliana is a little overwhelmed.' But, then again, so was he. He shook his head.

"All right." He says, trying to stay as calm as he can. "I'll just... Go grub my things, fine?"

He puts the paper, with trembling hands, back inside the nylon case, which he puts back in his bag. He takes it, and runs upward to his room. Partly to take his Teffillin, partly to relax for a moment.

They have tea. The tea is black tea and full of caffeine.

Kelsier nodded graciously, still playing the role. “Of course. There’s no rush, I assure you.” Not now that he’d returned the plot to its course.

She sighed. "Yeah, I should probably go search though the room. I don't want to leave anything behind." She walked upstairs, went into her room, and closed the door. She shakilly walked through her room. She started seeing black specks and she was swaying. Oh no. Not again! She then passed out.

Hoblim took his bag and teffillin, and made sure he didn't forget anything - including the paper with Lilliana's plans of inventing vaccines. He proceeded to pace around the room.

So, he thought, let's list the facts: we've got Kelsier - at least I assume it's Kelsier - and a probably a Ghostblood - one that knows about Judaism - downstairs. They offered to host us in a place where most of my Kashrut problems will be solved. Wait, am I thinking in Scadrian, Hebrew, or English? Never mind that, focus! I'm not sure if we should join them, since they clearly have their own goals. Rusts, why am I even here? Oh, dear. Now I should actually consider which side I'm in and I'll probably have to fight and this is far scarier than I've ever imagined and-

A loud sound of something hitting the ground came from the neighbouring room - Lilliana's room, he recalled - and cut his train of thoughts. He immediately went to the room, and found Lilliana unconscious on the ground. He immediately run outside and shouted: "Help! My friend has just lost consciousness!"

I probably should've tagged people...

BTW, if someone else still wants to play, maybe we could arrange for them to meet other Ghostblood agents.

I've never fainted before. I technically lose consciousness once a day - we all do, since sleeping is technically being unconscious, at least that's how I see it - but I believe I never lost consciousness unintentionally. How does that happen?
