Hoblim looks up. "Yes, as a matter of fact, I have. Wait a minute." He runs inside, then brings his whole bag with him. He opens it and takes a piece of paper from a nylon case there, after searching a little. "There." He says. "Would you prefer a pencil or a pen? My pencil is very short, and I'm not sure if I could find a sharpener here, but if you want to use it you may."

:P It's fine.

Also, I looked it up, and Nature Valley (a brand of granola bars that we actually have in my house right now) is Kosher. :) I honestly would have grabbed that, because they actually taste fairly good.

"Thanks, and I'll take the pen."

"Oh, well." Hoblim says. He takes the granola bar, then searched on it for a sign of Kashrus.

Sure! Quaker bars usually are, and so are Kind and Nature Valley. But it’s OUD (cholov stam). Only the Jewish brands (which Random wouldn’t have) are pareve.

Also, Random was in MI. The bars are kosher across the country but not all of the packages have symbol.

He drew the the third card and Trésor gathered up the remainder. Her companion frowned, then shuffled the three cards in his hand, randomizing them again.

”It won’t help,” Trésor warned.

”I know,” he admitted. “But it’s worth a shot.”

Begrudgingly, he laid the three cards out.

Hoblim hands Lilliana his pen, which was tucked to his shirt. "Here."

He then looks at the granola bar, at the ingredients. He frowns, then puts the bar at his pocket.

You know, I think we have nature valley granola bars here in Israel, too.

What is your opinion on Chalav Stam?

Trésor turned over the first card of the reading. “The Survivor,” she announced. Exactly as expected.

"Thanks." She then put the paper against the wall, and wrote up a barely legible list. It said:

  1. get equipment (petri dishes, stuff to sanitize things, rubber gloves if possible (something similar if not), safety goggles, eggs, a sample of a virus that infects humans)
  2. safely cultivate the virus
  3. let the virus die
  4. get some syringes, and create a vaccine
  5. demonstrate the vacciene
  6. revolutionize the scientific world in Scadrial
  7. try to figure out how to create an electron microscope

She nodded. Yes. This should work. And this is why I love biology.

Considering the time period, I think they may have some vaccines...

Trésor turned over the second card, already knowing what it would display.

”The Sovereign.”

Hoblim looks at what she wrote.

"Umm... Getting a virus might be hard, I think." He said. "And... You plan to mess with technology? Well, I guess Harmony will approve of that."

Kingsdaughter, the Sovereign won't exist yet. Wasn't this deck made for the third era? Or is that a special Ghostbloods deck? If so, they'd probably have other cards.

I might be wrong, but I don't think they know about cells, so it should be fine.

The Sovreign exists. The deck she uses is the one that will be used in the third Era. It’s the one Spook made at some point (not the one he used as Lord Mistborn). Tarot was created on Scadrial, although some cards vary across the Cosmere. Scadrian Ghostbloods use this one, which is also used in the South.

They should, actually. Cells were discovered in the mid-1800’s.

She turned over the last card, saying the name as she did. “Master >redacted<. Also known as The Cosmere and The Worldhopper.”

Why not a mistcloaks? And he isn't a worldhopper yet. I guess this is why it's the future card...

"We don't know when he'll wake up." She went into the room, and put a granola bar and water bottle down. She then left the room. "And it would be rude to wake him up." She pulled out her rubix cube, and fidgeted with it. She solved it. And then she messed it up again. "Plus, we'll stay in the building."

You can go to Fanworks to see the full deck. The Sovreign is also known as The Fullborn.

The person trésor makes a reading to is clearly Kel himself, though it'd be weird that he's willing to show himself in public.

She walked over to the stairs, and started going down. She was still eating a granola bar (the Nature Valley ones have 2 in each wrapper). "Oh, and I have a few more of these in my bag."

He does take precautions... He’s wearing a neat suit, gloves, and has large dark glasses. He’s holding a slender pole in his hand. He’s basically pretending to be blind.

“Look on the bright side,” Trésor said as she put the cards away. “The cards promise that you’ll worldhop someday.”

Kelsier scowled, leaning back in his seat. “We knew that; Brandon said it straight out in the Shardcast.”

“What do you want me to say,” Trésor asked irritably. “You’re the only one this happens to. There’s some consistency between card meanings among the regular population and a heightened consistency on specific cards with Shadows in general. But you’re still the only one who gets the exact same reading every time.”

"You said we should figure stuff out. I don't know what stuff you meant, so I can't help." He hesitated. "I do wish to check if I'm Invested, and..." He stops abruptly when he sees the woman from yesterday sitting at a table with a deck of cards in her hands, talking to someone. "Do you know who she is?" He asks Lilliana, pointing to the woman.

"Oh, yeah! The vial things! I paid for them, so I've got them." She dug through her bag. "Wait. Where... I can't find them." She sighed. "Well, that sucks." She kept digging through her bag.

Trésor smiled as she heard the boy calling. She ignored him, of course, pretending not to notice. “We could try a ten card. Those are a bit more variable.”

Kelsier shook his head. “There’s little point. Mistborn of Spears upright and Six reversed won’t tell me much more than I already know.”

”Whether or not the five appears could though,” Trésor noted. “Or the seven.”

”Seven will,” Kelsier assured her. “Five... that’s in question. But not good enough of one to do another reading now.”

"Where is it?" She walked to a neighboring table, and dumped her stuff out. "Wait. I had a notebook and pencil in here the whole time?!" She riffled through her stuff. "Oh, I didn't know this was in here!" She brought out a pack of gum, and started chewing a piece of it. "Nope. Not here. Sorry." She put her stuff back into her bag. She then walked back. She had left her backpack behind on accident. "I'll probably find it in some obscure spot. I once lost my copy of the Hobbit, and then a few days later, my sister found it. In the fridge." She solved her rubix cube. "Anyway, what now..."

Hoblim looks at the bag, then at Lilliana, and says: "I'll keep your bag while you look for it!" He then looks at the woman and the man before her. All he can see is that the man is blonde - his back is toward him. He considers talking to the woman, then decides guarding the bag comes first and stays in place.

So, I kind of decided for you where you sit, Kingsdaughter. Sorry for that. Hope it works. Kel can still see us through steelsight, though.

There’s too much stuff on their table to dump stuff on. So I’m assuming it’s the table next to them.

“What’s the noise about?” Kelsier asked Trésor, feigning confusion as he glanced over to where the sound had come.

”Some children making a mess,” his companion replied idly. “Do you think Ironeyes will crop up in a ten card?”

”It’s always possible,” Kelsier acknowledged. “Familial relationships, right? It has been some time since I last spoke with my brother.”

My bad. I kind of missed the fact that we moved to a table. Doesn't really changes anything, though.

Lilliana nodded. "Okay." She bolted up the stairs and into her room. And immediately saw the vials on the table. "Oh. There they are." She grabbed one, and ran back down the stairs. She almost twisted her ankle, as she isn't coordinated. She ran back in. "Found one!" She then gave it to him. "Uh, don't drink that yet." She handed him the note that came with the vial, and sat down.
